Lawrence Crucil, late of Mission, B.C., passed away on Monday, June 23, 2003 at Mission Memorial Hospital at the age of 73 years. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Cristina and August.
He is survived by his brother Rudy (Pat), nieces Catherine and Julia Crucil.
Lawrence worked in the logging industry all his life. In his spare time he became an enthusiastic golfer and was a member of the Mission Golf Club.
A Mass of Christian Service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 11:00 a. m., at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 32550 7th Avenue, Mission, with Father Tom Nicholson celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.

BARNES, ANNIE - Monday, 23 Jun 2003
Annie Barnes passed away peacefully at Mission Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 23, 2003 at the age of 85 years. Annie was predeceased by her husband John; and brothers Hector (Gladys), George and John.
She is survived by her son Stuart (Doreen) Palmer; daughter Florence (Norman) Howell; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Sam (Sylvia)McDonald; sisters-in-law Pat McDonald and Betty McDonald; as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Annie was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. #57, 32608 Fraser Crescent, Mission, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annie's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Shelagh Celinski (nee Thompson) of Abbotsford, passed on peacefully after a long battle with cancer, which ended June 22, 2003.
Survived by her Husband Rick, children Caitlin and Curran, her father Al Thompson, brother Brian and 2 sisters Deirdre and Katy.

Mr. Joseph Orville Meston, late of Abbotsford, B.C., passed away on June 22, 2003 at the age of 93 years, at Tabor Home, Abbotsford.

Sean passed away suddenly at his home in Mission, Saturday, June 21, 2003.

CURRAN, WILLIAM (BILL) - Friday, 20 Jun 2003
Curran, William A. (Bill) 1924 - 2003.
Following a brief battle with cancer Bill passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 20, 2003 at the Langley Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his loving family including son, Bradley and daughter Pamela (Mitch) Ladelle and two loving grandchildren, Lynelle and Ferral, brother-in-law Tom Gibson, sister Ruby Benwell, niece, Marion (Maurice) Mearon and grand-nieces Sarah and Heather, nephews David and Bob Curran, half-brother Lloyd Colburn and numerous other relatives. Bill is also survived by his loving and very dear companion of 12 years, Hazel Hughes, as well as her son Geoff (Anita) and numerous grandchildren.
Bill joined the Royal Winnipeg Rifles when he was 18 years old. He was involved in the invasion of Normandy during WW11 and also was in the Korean War. Bill was a member of the Royal Rifles, the Royal Canadian Legion, Korean Veterans Association, the Odd Fellows Grand Lodge and United Transportation Union. Bill joined CP Rail in 1947 at Winnipeg, and worked as a switchman and yard foreman for 37 years until his retirement in 1985.
Thanks to the staff of Langley Memorial Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital and the Surrey Cancer Clinic for their compassion and care during Bill's illness.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Langley, B.C. on Friday, June 27th at 11:00 a. m.
Interment and graveside services to follow at Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg at a later date. Mr. Johannes "Van" Van Nieuwland, late of Abbotsford, passed away on June 20, 2003 at the age of 87 years, at MSA Hospital.
He is survived by his son John Mathew (Cathy) Van Nieuwland, daughter Sharon (J. R.) Russell, grandchildren; Jonathon and Jordan Van Nieuwland, Chelsea Comber, and Dennis and Hartley Woloshuk; sister Trudy Vandergriend, nephews Hubert and Harry Teerink, and Graham Vandergriend and niece Joyce.
He was predeceased by his wife Gladys Jane, sister Betsy, brother-in-law Gerard Vandergriend, and his parents.
Van started work at B.C. Electric in 1954; then B.C. Hydro April 1, 1957 as a storeman. He retired as storekeeper in 1979. Van was a member of IBEW Local 258.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at 1:30 p. m. from the Chapel of Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford with Pastor Sid Couperus officiating. BURKE, CARROL - Friday, 20 Jun 2003
Carrol Rae, late of Dewdney, B.C. passed away at her home in Dewdney on June 20, 2003 after losing a tragic battle with cancer. Carrol was 62 years old.
She is survived by husband Gary, sister Marleen, daughter Jacquie, son Rodney. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Colin, Timoth, Shane, Vanessa & Christopher.
Carrol was born in Vancouver and until recently was an avid fisherperson, winning two trophies in the past.
A Celebration of Carrol's life was held at the home of Jackie Myers, a longtime friend, on Tuesday, June 24th.
The family is especially grateful to Dr. Thomas Bjerke and B.C. Home Care for making her last days so much easier.
