MacKINNON, Frances Georgina. Passed away at Lions Gate Hospital Palliative Care Unit on June 6, 2000 at the age of 81 years. Frances will be lovingly remembered by Diane (Larry) Kozoris and children Janet (Daryl) and Jeffrey (Tammy); Rick (Diane) Maynard and children Robin and James; David (Joanne) Maynard and children Sarah, Nicole and Bayley; Penny (Bob) Barry and daughter Samantha; John (Carolyn) MacKinnon and children Reggie and Laurie; Dick (Mary) MacKinnon and children Christine, Michael and Peter; as well as her sister Mary Lane of Riverview, N.B.; and many nieces and nephews. She shall be missed by many friends across the country and beyond. She is predeceased by her first husband James Herman Maynard in 1958 and second husband John Alexander MacKinnon in 1973. Frances moved to North Vancouver from N.B. in 1962 and worked with the Certified General Accountants from 1962-1971, Crest Realty, and was involved with St. Catherine's Anglican Church. DULMAGE, Muriel Leslie. Born in Frederickton, N.B. on March 15, 1909. Passed away peacefully at home in North Vancouver on Friday, June 2, 2000. Predeceased by her loving husband William. WALSOFF, Philip James. Born October 1, 1932 in Grand Forks. Oldest of 3 children, Phil spent his early years in Rossland and Kamloops. He attended the Radio College of Canada in Toronto where he received his radio license. In 1955, he met and married his wife, Phyl, and moved to North Vancouver. He was a wonderful father to 2 children, David (Jennifer) and Linda. A loving grandfather to 3 grandchildren Joel, Jamie and Eric. Phil spent 25 years with Wosk's, 19 years with Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and volunteered with the R.C.M.P. Auxiliary Program for over 30 years. BURT, Ian James Uniacke. Beloved son of Judy and Dennis, brother to Darcy, passed away suddenly at home on June 2, 2000. Ian was born on July 7, 1983 in Victoria, B.C. He was a student of Ross Road School and Argyle Secondary. Ian had an amazing, uncanny ability with old and new technology. He was an avid computer enthusiast. Ian had a quiet, wonderful sense of humour and thoughtfully watched life go by as an observer. He enjoyed life despite his handicap. DICK, Mary. Died peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2000, in her 99th year. The only child of Vancouver pioneers Robert and Rose (nee Darragh) Cosgrove of County Antrim, Ireland. Mary was predeceased by her husband Robert Anderson Dick, who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is survived by: son Robert Cosgrove Dick (Stella), granddaughters Margarita Mary Dick and Louisa Julia Dick of North Vancouver; son Dr. Kenneth Anderson Dick (Sharon) of Maryland, granddaughter Heather Lynn Queener (Eugene) and great-granddaughters Alexandra Leigh Queener and Jamie Elizabeth Queener of Texas; grandson Craig Cosgrove Dick of Arizona. Cremation will be followed by a private burial in Mountain View Cemetery. An afternoon tea will be held in Mary's memory at Kiwanis Care Centre, 2444 Burr Place, North Vancouver on Monday, June 12 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., to which friends and KCC staff are invited. CARR -Dorothy .Passed away peacefully at the Inglewood Lodge in West Vancouver on Thursday, June 15, 2000, two days before her 100th birthday, with her daughter Rosemary at her side. Mrs. Carr has been a North Shore resident since about 1906 and spent the last 15 years at Inglewood Lodge. The family is very appreciative of the staff at the lodge for the excellent care they gave to Dorothy.
