Peter Funk age 73 of Steinbach, MB passed away peacefully on April 11, 2011 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB. He is survived by his wife Anne (Nee Neufeld) and their 2 sons, 2 daughters and their families.
Funeral service will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Southland Community Church in Steinbach, MB. Viewing will be held at Southland Community Church on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:00 p.m. Should friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to: Teen Challenge, 414 Edmonton Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2M2.

Eleanor Rempel, aged 57, of Steinbach, passed away at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach on Sunday, April 10, 2011. She is survived by her husband Abe, her son Warren, one sister and one brother.
The funeral service for Eleanor will take place Friday, April 15 at 3:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. The viewing will take place Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. as well as prior to the funeral on Friday. The burial will take place at Heritage Cemetery in Steinbach.
Anyone who wishes to may donate to a charity of their choice in lieu of flowers.

Selma Barkman, 88, of Steinbach, formerly of Whitemouth, MB and Bredenbury, SK, passed away at Maplewood Manor on Sunday, April 10, 2011.
She was predeceased by her husband Minister Martin Barkman in 2008, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
She is survived by three daughters, four sons and their families; one sister, and two brothers.
Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Wednesday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. with a devotional at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Steinbach with interment at Heritage Cemetery.

Peacefully at the Riverview Health Centre, Thursday April 7, 2011, our beloved husband, father and brother, Bob Bingham was relieved of his earthly suffering and welcomed into the arms of Jesus, his Lord and Saviour.
After 25 wonderful years, he leaves the love of his life, soul mate and wife Joanne, his daughter Shannon (Ernest) Griffith, grandchildren Skyler and Jemma, sons Aran (Krista) and Brendan. Also left to mourn his passing are two brothers Bill (Marj), Ron (Molly) and two sisters Marg and Adah (Bud) Gibbs as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd in Winnipeg, MB for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob’s honour to Springs Church – Inner City (Missions for Children).

Tragically on April 6th at the age of 61, Raymond Stott was taken from us. He was a father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and great friend to many.
He is survived by his parents Jack and Margaret Stott, Louise, his children, Jo-Anne, Christopher, Kristal and his cherished grandson Adam as well his brothers and sisters, Gary (Doris), Elaine, Louise (Burt), Kevin (Marlene), Jeff (Mona), Michael (Ida), Donald (Laurie), and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 15th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Niverville Heritage Centre, 111-2nd Ave South in Niverville, MB. Following the service, a lunch will be served in the Atrium of the Heritage Centre.

Susanna Doerksen, 90, of Grunthal, MB passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Menno Home for the Aged in Grunthal.
She is survived by three daughters, four sons and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob in 2004 and one daughter.
Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Wednesday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. .with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m., also at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with interment at the New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church Cemetery.

Mary Hildebrandt, 101, of Steinbach, MB passed away Saturday, April 2, 2010 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. She is survived by three daughters, one son and their families. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1973 and one granddaughter.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, April 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach with viewing prior to the service,. Interment at the Niverville Heritage Cemetery.

Brenda passed away peacefully in her home in La Broquerie, MB surrounded by family and friends.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband Gilles and precious daughter Adrienne, her parents Gail and Norm Rudd; sisters, Barbara (son Larry) and Lori.; brothers, Randy and Bobby; “Special Uncle Ron and Aunt Loretta”, the La Broquerie Lord family as well as her lifelong Churchill friends and countless others friend that she held so dear to her heart.
A special appreciation and utmost gratitude to all the devoted caregivers that helped make Brenda’s life so blessed.

In loving memory of Gary James Netzel, who passed away August 27, 2011. He was 55 years old.

HELEN MARTENS (NEE SCHROEDER)
Peacefully, on Thursday, August 25, 2011, mom passed away at her home with her two daughters by her side.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Betty (Jan), Connie (John); four grandchildren, Dana (Al), Jeremy, Allys (Brent), Tammy (Dan) and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Susan (Lawrence), three sisters-in-law: Lena, Betty, and Tina, and one brother in law, Ken.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank in January, 1999, after 53 years of marriage.
Helen was born in Lowe Farm, Manitoba in 1918, the daughter of Jacob S. and Helena Schroeder.
A celebration of Helen’s life was held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, Manitoba. Cremation has taken place.

Peacefully Wednesday August 24, 2011 Roger Durand passed away at the St. Pierre De Salaberry Hospital at the age of 78 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Therese of 55 years and by his daughters and their families.
Jacqueline (Sam deceased), Angela, Vivian (Cornie), Paulette (Jeff), Diane (Ernie), Anita (Dale). By his 10 Grandchildren Cory (Eva), Kristopher (Athina) and their dad Russ, Richard (Chantal), Ryan, Danielle, Cody, Justin (Kaela), Jeremy, Stacy (Roger) and Colton.
As per Roger’s request a private family service has taken place.
Thank-you to Dr. Bibi and the nursing staff and the Palliative Care team for their care. A big thank you to Luc Giourdfor his daily visits. Donations may be made to the St. Pierre Palliative Care, St. Pierre Hospital.

Kenneth Snead of Red Deer, AB passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at the age of 81 years.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his nephew Kerry (Susan) and their children Blake, Brittney (Gregg), stepson Curtis (Paulette) and their children Nicholas (Courtney) and their daughter Kaiya, Steven (Calie) and their son Seth.
A graveside service was held at Alto Reste Cemetery, Highway 11 East, Red Deer County, AB on Monday, Aug. 29 at 10:30 a.m.

Dad passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, at the age of 90 years.
Dad leaves to cherish his love, his children Mary Ann (Ernie Loewen), Florence (Danny Loewen), Elmer (Lucille Brandt), Larry (Sandi Groening), Jim (Terri Thiessen), Marlene (Clarence Dueck), Karen (Lloyd Kornelsen), and Laverna Eidse (Rob Rempel); 31 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his dear wife, Mary in 2007 and 2 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Dad’s life was held on Friday, August 26 at the Rosenort Evangelical Mennonite Church.
