EDWIN DAVID KLIPPENSTEIN
After a period of rapid decline, God granted Dad’s wish and took him home. He had a difficult few days at the end. His noisy boisterous family sat around his bed, sharing memories, telling stories, joking and laughing. And then at times we would fall silent, sharing in his struggle. We had music, prayer and scripture from time to time. As he drew his last breath, his face relaxed and broke out into the most beautiful smile. We imagine he was seeing his youngest daughter, Wendy, waiting to meet him on the other side. And then he was gone. We are so happy for him, but he will be missed so much, especially by Maria, his wife, whom he loved so well for 59 wonderful years.
He is also survived by his children: Brenda (Elmer) Funk, Albert (Evelyn) Klippenstein, Gerry (Margaret) Klippenstein, Eric (Angela) Klippenstein, Carol (Timothy) Taves, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter Wendy Yousif in 2006.
