DAVID H. DUECK
Our parents, David Dueck aged 92 and Esther Dueck (nee Kornelson) aged 88, of Winnipeg, formerly of Rosenort, Manitoba passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 within 1 1/2 hours of each other, after several months of serious illness. They were married for almost 64 years.
They are survived by six daughters, two sons and their families. They were predeceased by one son in infancy.
Viewing will be held at the Fort Garry, 602 Pasadena Ave., Winnipeg on Monday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. with a memory service at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosenort Evangelical Mennonite Church with interment at the church cemetery.

PIERRETTE SOLANGE TROISFONTAINES
Pierrette Troisfontaines (nee Deloince) passed away April 5, 2013 in Ste. Anne Hospital at the age of 88 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Pierrette was born in Chevry sous Bignon, France, on March 2, 1925 and immigrated to Canada in 1950, where she married Ernest Troisfontaines and settled on a dairy farm near La Broquerie, Manitoba.
She was predeceased by her parents, three older brothers (all in France), and her husband Ernest in 2010. Pierrette leaves to cherish her memory two daughters and their families: Diane (Johann) Wagner of La Broquerie, along with grandsons Johann, Sebastian and Phillip; and Yvette (Reuben) Neumier of Virden, along with grandsons Paul and Joel.
In keeping with Pierrette’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.

JOHN F. WIEBE
John F. Wiebe, 84, of Steinbach, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at Rest Haven Nursing Home.
He is survived by his wife Mary (nee Friesen), two daughters, three sons, one sister, two brothers and their families.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach with burial at Heritage Cemetery. Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the chapel prior to the service.

RONALD J. PETERS
Dad was born on March 6, 1942 on his parents’ farm near Aberdeen, SK. He passed away surrounded by his family at home near Ste. Anne, MB on April 6, 2013 after a short, intense journey with pancreatic cancer.
Dad was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth (Thiessen) Peters of Aberdeen, SK. He is survived by his wife Doris (Klassen), and his children and their families: Terri Peters and Darren Oleksyn of Calgary, AB; Pam and Albert Peters-Pries and their children Benjamin and Matthew of Blumenort, MB; Jody Peters and his son Noah Chelsom and partner Tara Faris of Saskatoon, SK. He is also survived by his four sisters and their spouses and families.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held April 13, 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB. Memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or Prairie Wind Mennonite Church, designated for “Kenya sand dams”.

ARCHIE PHILIP CHABOT SR.
Archie Chabot passed away suddenly at home.
Dad will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Jeanne and his children: his son Archie (Liz), Brenda (Jon) and his grandchildren: Edward (Samantha), Amber, Nicolas and Faye. He is also survived by two brothers, three sisters and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
At family’s request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Marchand Community Centre.

GILLES LACROIX
After a short battle with cancer, Gilles Lacroix passed away April 9, 2013 at the age of 69 years.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Bruce, sons Stephane, Simon, Jon (Joann), daughter Julie; brothers and sisters in Quebec; step daughters Barbara, Darlene, Susie, Michelle, Colette, stepson Michael and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. with ash interment at a later date.
Donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.

MARGARET LOEPPKY
Margaret Loeppky of Steinbach, 82, passed away peacefully in Winnipeg at the Brummitt-Feasby ALS House on April 10, 2013.
She will be lovingly remembered by two sisters Mary (Nick Friesen) of Winnipeg and Bettie (Ron Dyck) of St. Catharines, ON, two brothers Otto (Lois) of Steinbach and Cornie (Karen) of Niverville, one sister-in-law Mary Loeppky of Steinbach, nineteen nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Jacob K. and Anna Loeppky, her sister Ann and her brother Jake.
The funeral service was at the Steinbach Mennonite Church on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Burial took place at the Steinbach Heritage Cemetery

ARTHUR EDUARD CATELLIER
Peacefully with his family by his side, Arthur passed away on April 9 2013 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Mb.
Arthur was born on February 5 1936 in St Malo (La Rochelle) Manitoba and was one of a family of 16 children.
Arthur will be sadly missed by his wife Alice Catellier , his children Lionel Catellier ( Caren ) , Norbert Catellier ( Lisa ) Judith Morrisseau, Eloi Catellier and Edward Catellier, as well as his Grandchildren Roland, Real, Stephane, Adrien, Kelsey, Dwayne, Amanda, Lea, Matthew ( Eloi Jr ) , Nicole, Chase, Ashley, Billie-Jo and Blair and 8 Great Grandchildren .
He is also survived and will be missed by his five sisters Lucille, Imelda, Yvonne, Lina and Eveline, as well as his brother Firmin.
Funeral Service was held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the St Malo Roman Catholic Church St Malo, Manitoba. Internment will take place at a later date.
ALFRIEDA (BANMAN) BEDARD
Alfrieda (Banman) Bedard aged 60 years passed away peacefully at Langley Hospice on April 11th, 2013. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Steinbach, Manitoba.
She is survived by her husband Roger Bedard, daughter Lindsay (Cam) Forbes and son Justin Bedard; grandchildren Rowan Forbes and Carter Forbes.
The fourth child of seven she is survived by her sisters Marilyn (Ray) Rosner, Bertha (Rick) Beilman, Evelyn (Garry) Toews, Carol (Steve) Wiewel, Beverly (Randy) Skubovious and brother John (Bridgett) Banman.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Saturday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m.

UWE ZIBELL
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Uwe Zibell at his home on April 12, 2013 at the age of 71.
He will be remembered by his wife Laurette; children Harold (Debbie), Calvin, Rex and Cassandra (Jared), David (Kristin), Renee (Ryan); grandchildren Serena, Marissa, Melody, Adam, Lucy, Jesse, Brady, Jacob, Chloe, Jacob and Aaden; brothers Ziggy, Carl (Doreen); sisters Edith (Alfred), Ann (Adam); nephews David (Sharon), Bryan, Ken; nieces Dana (Doug), Diane (Rob) and Karla; and many neighbours and friends.
On October 30, 1941, Uwe was born in Lubeck, Germany. He immigrated to Canada in April 1953 with his brothers Ziggy, Carl and sister Ann. They settled in Giroux but moved to Steinbach, Manitoba.
A celebration of Uwe’s life will be held at the family home to be determined at a later date. A notice will be posted in the Winnipeg Free Press. Dave, bring the Doritos.

CORNELIUS K. HARDER
Cornelius K. Harder passed away peacefully on April 13, 2013 at St. Pierre Hospital. Dad was born on March 11, 1918 to Agatha Krause and Henry H. Harder.
His memory will be cherished by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild: daughter Helen Podjan (Sharon and Chris, Jennifer, Lindsay, Samantha and Cameron; Marc, Dayton and Tyra), son Jack and Marianne (Michael, Jocelyn and Justin (Ieisha), and Patrick; Brian; Keith and Louise), Anne and Ken Dyck (Erin and Jeremy, Ella and Aidan; Kerry; Brady), sisters-in-law Sally Hiebert and Betty Kehler, one brother-in-law Brad Hiebert, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dad was predeceased by Agnes, his beloved wife of 66 years in 2007, by infant son Cornie in 1942, daughter Mary in 1957, and son Willie in 1975. He was also predeceased by seven sisters and seven brothers.
A service celebrating Dad's life was held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB with interment at Hespler Cemetery in Niverville.

MARGE FRIESEN
Marge Friesen (nee Wiebe) of Niverville passed away Saturday, Apr. 13, 2013. She was born on October 1st, 1938 to Jacob and Helena Wiebe and grew up in a farm with 7 siblings. She was baptized upon the confession of her faith at the CMC Church in Niverville.
Marge is survived by her husband Nelson Friesen and his family, son and daughter-in-law Brad and Wendy , daughter-in-law Cheryl, grandsons Brandon, Keaton, Noah and Rhys and daughter at heart Helen Wood. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Menno, her son Ron and grandson Ethan.
Funeral service will be held Saturday April 20, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Word of Life Church, 233 3rd St S, Niverville, with graveside ceremony at Hespeler Cemetery. Viewing with commence at 1:00pm before the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marge can be made to the Niverville Heritage Center Project, Unit 100, 111 2nd Ave S, Niverville MB, R0A 0A1 to go towards the Niverville Personal Care Home.

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Herman peacefully passed away at the age of 72.

LISA HAMM (nee Martens)
Lisa Dawn Hamm (nee Martens), 38, of Edmonton Alberta passed away at home surrounded by family on April 14, 2013 after a 5 month long battle with cancer.
Lisa is survived by her husband Roger; parents Peter and Esther Martens; brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Maria Martens; sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Brad Penner; niece Meagan; and nephews: Cole, Aidan and Evan.
A Celebration of Lisa’s Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Edmonton First Mennonite Church, 3650-91 Street, Edmonton.
