Dorothy Rudy, 59, of Steinbach passed away April 15, 2013 at the Bethesda Hospital. She is survived by her husband Russell, sons Jordan and Jamin (Deanna).
A memorial service will be held for Dorothy on Friday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach.

MIRANDA DENISE FRIESEN
Miranda Denise Friesen passed away accidentally on Monday, April 15, 2013 at approximately 10:15 a.m. at the age of 20 on Hwy #12 a few miles south of Steinbach.
Miranda was born on May 12, 1992 in Steinbach, Manitoba. She attended school in Steinbach and graduated from the Steinbach Regional Secondary School. She worked at Sobeys as a cashier. She was on her way to work on Monday morning when she was involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident.
She is survived by her loving parents, Dan and Trish Friesen; her sister Angela and brother-in-law Andrew Barkman; her brother Nathan; her grandparents Abe and Anne Friesen of Steinbach and Ray and Erna Nickel of Niverville; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Miranda, donations may be made to the Horsemanship Program at Roseau River Bible Camp available at the church.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the Steinbach RCMP Detachment, Steinbach Fire Department and EMS staff who attended the scene, and to Sobeys and staff for their support.
The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Steinbach Mennonite Church, 345 Loewen Boulevard with interment at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach. Viewing will be on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel and at the church prior to the service.

ALEXANDER ALEXIUK
Alexander passed away at the Bethesda Hospital Steinbach, Manitoba on April 15, 2013 at the age of 70 years after complications with Diabetes and emphysema which he had to deal with for many years.
He was born to George and Stella Alexiuk on June 15, 1942 at Sundown.
He is survived by his sister Lillian Shepit, Brother Fred, and sister in law Olga Alexiuk. Nephews Eugene, Dennis, Gerald, Edward, and Kevin. Nieces Beverly, Elaine, Nancy and Crystal and many grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 11:00am at Vita Funeral Home 256 Railway Avenue Vita, Manitoba with burial at Sirko Cemetery South of Sundown , Manitoba.

January 16, 1918 – April 17, 2013
Peter died peacefully the evening of April 17 at his home in Cedarwood Supportive Housing. He joined his wife Betty and his son Eugene and he left to remember him his daughter Iris Reimer.
Also remembering him are his sisters, Ann (Ed Friesen) and Liz Reimer, sister-in-law Tina Reimer as well as Betty’s sister Helen Penner. He was predeceased by his parents Klaas P L and Anna Reimer, siblings Abe (Lisa), Marie (Cornie Friesen), Margaret (Cornie Unger), Henry, John, and Esther (Don Crowe). He was also predeceased by Betty’s parents and eight of her siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB.

ALVIN FREY
Alvin Frey, 85, of Mitchell, Manitoba passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach.
He is survived by his wife Lydian (nee Martin), one daughter, four sons and their families.
Viewing and devotional will be held at Landmark Christian Fellowship on Sunday, April 21 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Landmark Christian Fellowship with interment at the Prairie Rose EMC Cemetery.

MICHAEL SENCHUK
Peacefully, on April 18, 2013 at Rosewood Lodge, with Don at his side, Dad passed away in his 103rd year to be reunited with Mom.
Besides his beloved wife Annie of 63 years, he was predeceased by his parents Pauline and Dymetro, brothers John, Bill, Peter, Harry and sister Polly. Left to mourn his passing are his daughter Shirley (Alex) Krawec, sons Don (Jill) and Ed (Sylvia), grandchildren Alan, Allyson, Michael, Dean and Michelle, great-grandchildren, Kieran, Teagan, Carley, Maggie, Samuel and Mya, sisters-in-law Mabel Senchuk and Marie Manchulenko and nieces Anne Semenko and Nell Bjornson.
Prayers will be held Monday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. The funeral service will take place at the East Braintree Church on Tuesday, April 23 at 11:30 a.m. The Very Reverend Mark Gnutel will officiate. Ash interment will follow at the local cemetery. The family will host a reception at the Prawda Hall following the service.

DORIS PREVOST
Doris was born in Roseau, Minnesota to Philip and Marie Prevost. She was the eldest of 10 children.
Doris grew up in South Junction, Mb starting school there, than continuing her high school at St. Norbert convent then Ross L. Gray School in Sprague.
Doris was predeceased by her parents Philip and Marie Prevost and her son Bobby. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Melanie, siblings Bert (Julaine), Raymond (Lynn), Jocelyne (Guy), Norman (Cecille), Leon (Kathy), Sally (Jeff), John (Margie), Victor (Shawny), Bill (Bonnie), many nephews, nieces and friends.
If friends so desire donations may be made in Doris’s memory to the Sprague Fire Department to be used for medical supplies.
A Mass celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, April 24th at 1p.m. at the Notre Dame de L’Assomption Catholic Church in South Junction, Mb.

Marie Dueck (Nee Broesky), 95, of Steinbach, MB passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Bethesda Place.
She is survived by two sisters, four brothers and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Abram, three sisters, and six brothers.
The funeral service for Marie Dueck will be held Wednesday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Springs Church in Steinbach with burial at Heritage Cemetery.

RAPHAEL (RALPH) ALFRED JOSEPH VINCENT
We are saddened to announce the passing of Ralph Vincent on April 20, 2013, just one day short of his 85th birthday after a short battle with cancer.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 60 years Irene (Faucher); his children Shirley (Derek) Thomson, Ken (Rachelle), Ron (Alice), Larry (Diane), Gary (Marlene), Kim (Paul) Andre and Karen; grandchildren Kellea, Brittany, Chelsea, Maxine, Kevin, Vanessa, Alain, Chantal, Stephanie, Previne, Amy, Adam, James, Michael, Julie, Lisa, Meghan, Heather and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Madeleine Laurin, sister-in-law Marisa and brother-in-law Louis Jeanson. His loss will also be felt by many more brothers- and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Dad was predeceased by parents Arthur and Eva, his first grandson Colin Vincent and his son-in-law Ted Armstrong. He was also predeceased by his brothers Louis, Armand, Gabriel, Joe, Johny, and sisters Therese and Catherine.
Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ste. Anne Catholic Church.

It is with sadness we announce the passing of our mother Nettie. She was predeceased by her parents Heinrich and Aganetha Dyck; two husbands Bill Braun in 1958 and Henry Braun in 2006; step-daughter Elaine Budarin; two grandchildren Cameron Arthur Mantie and Melanie Marie Mantie; six sisters Katie, Mary, Lena, Agatha, Sadie, and Elizabeth; five brothers Henry, John, Ike, Abe and Cornelius. She leaves to mourn, her children Judi (Ken) Mantie, Sharon (Ron) Walkington, Keith (Carol) Braun and Audrey (Lloyd) Fear; ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one sister Marge (Clarence) Remple, one brother Ben Dyck, and one sister-in-law Olga Joyal, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach with burial at Lowe Farm Community Cemetery. Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service.

ANNETTE PENNER
Annette Penner, 89, of Randolph, MB formerly of St. Anne District passed away at Maplewood Manor on Monday, April 22, 2013.
She is survived by seven daughters, six sons and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin G. Penner in 1970, one son, one great-granddaughter.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Anthony and their three precious children, Pierce (14), Payton (13), and Gabrielle (9). Her mother, Laura Siemens of Rosenort, four sisters, three brothers, and their families.

Following the death of his beloved wife and a brief battle with cancer, Bill Berg passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the St. Boniface Hospital.

He is survived by his parents Harold and Judy Loewen and siblings Evangeline; Andy (Angelina) and their son Joel; Joyce (Ruben) Dyck and their children Juliana, Veronica and Victor; Jason (Kristina) and their daughter Elayna; Phylicia; and Joshua.

Suddenly, on April 27, 2013 Maurice Therrien Jr. of Steinbach, MB passed away at the age of 31 years.
He is survived by his daughter Cordelia (mother Roberta), his partner Kelly, his parents Maurice and Patricia, brother Adam and sister Jolene (Danny Cougnon), special niece Taylor and nephew Jordan. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
