Frances Ellen Hartle (Coulter)
August 29, 1919 – March 16, 2009
It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Frances Ellen Hartle at the age of 89, on March 16, 2009 peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital with her family by her side.
Frances was born in Winnipeg, raised in Coulter, Inwood and Stonewall where she met George Hartle. Frances and George were married in 1940. Frances was the eldest of eight children.
Surviving are daughters Donna (Al), Linda (Ron) Harrison and son Jim (Jean); grandchildren, Karyn (Dwayne) Ray, Sheryl (Stuart) McGie, Paige Hartle and Cole Hartle and great-granddaughter Keira McGie . Also surviving are sisters Chris McIsaac of Williams Lake, B.C. and Geraldine (Carmen) Purdy of Winnipeg, sisters-in-law, Carrie Andrews and Sarah Hodgson of Winnipeg and brother-in-law, Albert (Florence) Hartle of Stonewall and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances was predeceased by husband George in 1986 and son Doug in 1953 as well as her parents Margaret and Frank Coulter, brother Harry and sisters, Dorothy, Viola, Irene and Elva.
Frances loved spending time at the lake having friends and family drop by for visits and games of cards. Frances loved playing cards and was an avid bridge player. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and reading.
The funeral will be held at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Thursday March 19, 2009 at 1:30 P.M.

Thomas William Lee
It is with deep sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Thomas William Lee at the Grace Hospital on February 21, 2009 at the age of 78, with his son, Rod at his side.
Tommy will be sadly missed by his children; Rod (Charlene), Deanna, Darrell, Clifford (Cathy); grandchildren Erika, Rebecca, Sabrina and Matthew. Also left to mourn are his sister Rose, and many other relatives and friends.
Su Fay, his beloved wife of 45 years, predeceased Tommy on October 27th, 2004. He was also predeceased by his parents, Harry and Florence, and brothers Gordon, Robert, Richmond and Gilbert.
Tommy was born March 9, 1930 in Winnipeg. His two fondest employment memories came from his time as a cook at the Shanghai Restaurant, and as a dental technician at Shaw Dental Laboratories, where he retired in 1996 after 35 years.
A memorial service honouring Tommy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2009, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street.
The family would like to thank Manitoba Home Care and the staff and management at Sturgeon Creek Retirement Residence for the wonderful care and support provided to Tommy over the last several years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
LaDon "Donnie" Stevens
Sadly the family announces the passing of LaDon (Donnie) Ross Stevens at the Swan Valley Personal Care Home, Swan River, Manitoba on May 10th, 2013.
Donnie was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on November 15th, 1913 and attended schools in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Graduating from Kelvin Technical High School and Success Business College in Winnipeg.
Donnie and Don were married November 11th, 1939 in Winnipeg, MB. During Don's long career in banking, 45 years with the Toronto Dominion, he managed a number of branches in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. After retiring, they spent 17 winters at Pine-To-Palm Park in Weslaco, Texas U.S.A. eventually taking up residence in Swan River, Manitoba.
Donnie was out-going, loved meeting people and making new friends. She especially loved animals. Keenly interested in sports, especially speed skating and figure skating. She took an active part both on and off the ice.
Donnie organized and was president of the Kipling Figure Skating Club in Kipling, Saskatchewan, The Pas Club, of The Pas, Manitoba, and the Benito Club, of Benito, Manitoba. When transferred from The Pas, the members presented her with a life membership in recognition of the work she had done on behalf of the young people.
Mom will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her two daughters Donna Lyn Banda (Ed), Lesley Jean Henkelman (Lorne); grandchildren Michele (Balogh) Laird, Curtis Balogh, Kim (Balogh), Lorinczy (Bob), Cari Banda (Craig), Erin Gray (John), Jeff Banda (Susan), Patti Henkelman (Warren), Derek Henkelman (Angie), Jeff Henkelman (Kelley), Scott Henkelman (Jaclyn); great grandchildren Corey (Kim) Laird, Tyler Laird, Braden (Alex) Lorinczy, Shelby (Jaylen) Lorinczy, Katelyn Bast (Nathan), Sarah LaDon Bast, Josh and Delaney Gray, Peyton and Logan Banda, Taylor, Ali, Sara, Kash, Emma, Matthew, Mason, Sawyer and Bennett Henkelman and great great grandson Jaxx Marwick.
Donnie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years Donald Reid Stevens; daughter Peggy (Balogh) Kerr; son-in-law Arnie Balogh and oldest grandson Donald Balogh.
The family wishes to express appreciation and thanks to the staff at the Swan Valley Health Center and the Swan Valley Personal Care Home.
Family and friends celebrated her life at the Chapel of Paull Funeral Home, Swan River, Manitoba on May 17th, 2013 at 10:30AM with Pastor David Johnson officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community Foundation of Swan River.
Following the luncheon Donnie was laid to rest in the Birchwood Cemetery, Swan River, Manitoba.
Paull Funeral Home and Crematorium was honored to have served the family.
Stanley Steeves
Stanley Steeves passed away at the Grace Hospice at the age of 55 years.

Dale Breakey
OCTOBER 6, 1958 – FEBRUARY 16, 2009
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Dale at the age of 50.
Dale will be greatly missed by his mother Joan; sister Jill (Allen); niece Shauna (Randy); great-nephew Jordan, friends and acquaintances. Dale was predeceased by his father Reginald.
Dale enjoyed watching the races at Gimli Speedway, spending some relaxing time at the family cottage, though he did very little relaxing and most often could be found cutting the lawn or going for a bike ride. Dale enjoyed watching sports especially the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and going to the occasional movie. He truly loved the outdoors and could often be seen out walking in the neighborhood.
Dale was a kind, thoughtful and gentle person with a big heart. He took pride in caring for others in his neighborhood by cutting lawns of neighbors, running errands for his Mom or helping out at the community church.
A memorial service in honor of Dale will be held 11:00am Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6.
Joan Bernard
On Saturday, February 7, 2009, Joan Bernard, passed away at the age of 63 years.
Joan will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gerry; daughter Michelle (Roger) Unwin and grandson Stephen of California; Aunt Jean Wright; Cousins Lucy Thomas and Nellie Cain and by her extended family in Ontario and BC.
She was predeceased by her son Andrew in 2005.
Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, with visitation one half hour prior to the service.
Glenn Wayne Farrell
Glenn Wayne Farrell passed away on February 4, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 65 years. Funeral arrangements pending.
Eun-Ha Song
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife & mother, Eun-Ha Song.
While on vacation overseas, a shocking diagnosis of 4th stage terminal cancer was determined on July 28, 2008. Eun-Ha fought hard to remain with us, but her valiant effort ended during the early morning of February 10, 2009 at the age of 43.
She was pre-deceased by her mother when only eleven years old.
She is survived in Canada by her husband Andrew Pugachev and children, Holden (aged 7) and Scarlett (aged 2).
Her sisters Eun-Hee and Eun-Kyoung and brother Chul-Hoon reside principally in South Korea; along with her father, step-mom, step-brother and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
My wife’s spirit will forever be apart of us and all those she touched. I’ve lost my best friend. She enjoyed working in her garden, playing piano, art, golf, tennis, travel and so much more. Her greatest joys were her children, siblings, niece Yeah-Gee and nephew Tong-Hee. Her last words were “Tell Everyone I Love Them.”
Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street with viewing one-half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Vital Cemetery.
All friends and family members are encouraged to pay tribute to Eun-Ha and her ever present aura.
