PAULINE WILSON

August 28, 2004

PAULINE WILSON Peacefully, on Monday, August 23, 2004, Pauline Wilson passed away at Victoria Hospital with her son by her side. She is survived by her son Gordon Wilson; sister-in-law Mary Anne Kopelchak (Toronto, ON); and two nephews, Steve Kopelchak and Glen Kopelchak. Pauline was predeceased by her father Mike in 1944; her mother Annie in 1982; brother William in 1989, brother Steve in 1991; sister Rose Stauffer in 1999; brother Elmer Kopelchak in 2000; and four sisters, Katherin in infancy, Lillian in childhood, Mary and Evelyn Hygaard. She was born April 14, 1912, in the district of Mikado, SK, than came to Winnipeg in the mid 30s. Pauline loved to plant a garden and shared the harvest with others, be it neighbours or friends. However, her greatest joy was to share the spiritual truths she learned from Jehovah Gods' Holy Word the Bible in the Ministry from the time she dedicated her life to serve her Creator July 15, 1934. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she showed her strong belief that Jehovah God did not create man to die, but now that death exists He has given us a hope to see my mother again (John 17:3). We know that our tears of loss are just like Jesus' when He cried for his friend Lazarus (John 11:35). It comforts us to know that Pauline Wilson is asleep (Eccl. 9:5) and "Precious in the eyes of Jehovah is the death of his loyal ones" (Psalms 116:15). My mother's future hope was earthly not heavenly (Psalms 37:29). There will be a time when "God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more" (Rev. 21:3-4). It is her will to be buried in the same cemetery as her mother (District of Mikado), which will take place Saturday, August 28 with her spiritual brothers and sisters from the area to be present at the grave site. To the friends who took time out of their busy lives to show agape love for my mother, she showed her appreciation with a smile. Many thanks to families I have met during the five years she was taken care of by the Fort Garry Care Centre, and the support I received on a daily basis as I had visited my mother. Thanks to the ER and Unit 05 South of the Victoria Hospital from August 20 to 23, for their respect and compassion during her short stay. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Kingdom Hall Centre, 227 Lakewood Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3J 2N2. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

JOSEPH WOLFE

August 28, 2004

JOSEPH (JOE) WOLFE Joseph (Joe) passed away from this life to walk through Heaven's Gates to be with his Lord on August 24, 2004, at the age of 91. He will be lovingly remembered by Eva Wolfe; son Jim Wolfe (Pat); daughter Joy St. Onge (George); and grandchildren, Darryl and Crystal. He is predeceased by his parents, seven brothers and one sister. We would like to thank Bev, Joe's HomeCare nurse, the staff of Vista Park Lodge and Pastor Logan of Calvary Temple for their care and support to Joe and the family. The family would also like to express gratitude to Fritz Hiebert who was a special neighbour and friend to Joe. Joe was born in Mazenod, SK on September 26, 1912. He farmed in Saskatchewan and Manitoba with his wife, Eva and then moved to Winnipeg in the mid 50's. He held a variety of jobs until he became a custodian for the Fort Garry School Division until his retirement. Although he suffered a stroke in 1995, he continued to live in his home until February of 2004. A private service was held at Transcona Cemetery on Friday, August 27 with Pastor Logan presiding. Joseph will be remembered as a man of deep faith in Jesus. His love of the Lord and of life was an inspiration to all who knew him. MARY WOLOSHYN

August 28, 2004

MARY WOLOSHYN (nee HUMENIUK) On Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the age of 83, Mary Woloshyn died peacefully with her family by her side. She is survived by her children, Sharon and Richard (Sherryl); grandchildren, Kelly (Clint), Stuart (Jacelyn), Laura (Colin); and her "babies" (great-grandchildren) Tristan and Cassidy. She is also survived by her brothers, John and Walter (Vicky). She was predeceased by her husband Mike (1988) to whom she was married for 47 wonderful years, and Charlotte Humeniuk her partner in crime - coffee and shopping. Mom was a gentle soul who loved her family dearly. There were many hardships during their early years on the farm, from this grew a love of gardening and grateful appreciation of simplicity. Mom loved her life on the farm and to the end enjoyed checking out the crops and going for a ride on the combine during harvest. She took great pride in her yard, flowers and multitude of birdfeeders. Baba always had lunch ready-to-go. It was a pit spot for Richard, Kelly, Stu and Lor (and some more of us). She found great joy in her grandchildren and was always there to babysit when needed (and that was quite a lot!). Her recent joys were her two great-grandchildren for whom she always had room on her lap. Tapestry threads and her cross stitch needle are now put down and sit in a silent room as we turn out the light and shut the door. God has one more Angel. We love you Mom. The family would like to thank the caring staff of GA4 for their excellent care during her stay at Health Sciences Centre. Thank you to staff at CancerCare for kindness and concern (Hello to Erin). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Broad Valley Community Center with interment to follow at Broad Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fisher Branch Handi Van or CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements in Care of Fisher Funeral Home 372-6271 Fisher Branch MB
