Alfred (Fred) Mazerolle

Moncton - Alfred Mazerolle, 82, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 21st, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent on July 6, 1928, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Petitpas) Mazerolle.
Fred has worked as foreman for MacDonald’s Paving and as foreman at the Town of Shediac; also he was past President of the Club d’Âge d’Or Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix.
Fred will be sadly missed by his wife, Marie, his two sons, Robert Mazerolle (Rosella) of Barachois, Roger Mazerolle of Kingston, ON; his brother, René Mazerolle (Anna) of Notre-Dame-de-Kent; his grandson, Joël; also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Edouard, Raymond, and one infant brother, Aldéric.
Special thank you to the doctors and the nurses at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Moncton (625 Mountain Rd) on Friday, May 27th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, May 28th from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
Funeral service will be at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix RC Church on Saturday, May 28th at 11 am.
The ashes will be deposited in the Columbarium at Passage in Shediac Bridge.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Moncton – Antoine Arsenault, 75, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 1st, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Adamsville on September 14th, 1935, he was the son of late Théodore Arsenault and late Jeanne Gallant.
Antoine will be sadly missed by his wife, Phyllis; his three sons, David (Janet) of Canaan, Dennis of Moncton, Danny (Belinda) of Adamsville; his four daughters, Joanne (Jim) of Richibouctou, Linda Robichaud (Luc) of Cocagne, Nancy Young (Jamie) of Tweed ON and Norma Sirois (Mark) of Moncton; his sister, Melina Petitpas (late Edgar) of Midland ON, also several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers, François, Joseph and Noé; three sisters, Bella, Madelaine and Thérèse.
In respect to the family’s wishes there will be no visitation.
Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, May 6th at St. Timothy RC Church in Adamsville at 4pm.

Yvon Cormier

Moncton – Yvon Cormier, 84, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 1st, 2011 after a brief illness.
Born in Cap-Pelé on August 21st, 1926, he was the son of the late Olivier and Julienne (Bourque) Cormier.
Yvon will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosella Marie Melanson; his son, Marc of Moncton; his stepdaughter, Rachel Alderson of Moncton; two sisters, Marie Donelle (Joseph), Florine Fougère (Laurie) both of Cap-Pelé, also a grandchild, Jessica Alderson.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Bélonie, Gérard and Ovila; two sisters, Léontine and Rita.
Visitation will be held at Passage, 625 Mountain Rd. in Moncton on Wednesday, May 4th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, May 5th at St. Louis de France RC Church in Lewisville at 11 am.
No visitation on Thursday morning.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the

Gérard Léger

Moncton – Gérard Léger, 67, passed away peacefully at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 26, after a brief illness.
Born in Moncton on March 4, 1944, he was the son of the late James and Anna (Gallant) Léger.
Gérard will be sadly missed by his son, James Léger of Moncton; his daughter, Kim Dyson of Moncton; his three brothers, Emery and Léo, both of Moncton, Paul (late Anna) of Rexton; also several nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be held at Passage, 625 Mountain Rd, Moncton on Saturday, April 30th from 7 to 9 pm.
In respect to Gérard’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.

Harry Burton Wetmore 1924-2004 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Flight Sergeant Harry Burton Wetmore at the age of 79.
He passed away peacefully, on Tuesday , March 16th, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in St. John, NB, he was the son of the late Harry and Marie (nee Poirier) Wetmore.
Harry was a Veteran of The Second World War, having served overseas as an air gunner with the RCAF.
Following the war he married Juanita (nee Purcell).
They settled in the Halifax, NS area (Portuguese Cove) and raised a family of five children.
He was a career railroad man as his father before him, and with a break for wartime service, worked for the CNR from 1942 through 1981, progressing to the position of Inspector.
In the fall of 1968 the family moved to Moncton, where Harry accepted the position of Station Agent.
Some years later he transferred to CN Marine Atlantic assuming responsibility for ferry logistics and continued there until his retirement.
He then became part owner of a maple sugar operation in Elgin where he managed that for ten years.
Harry loved to garden and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was an avid golfer and served as president of The Moncton Golf & Country Club. Harry will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Juanita Marie; his two daughters, Beverly C. Power, Halifax, and Joanne J. Fawcett (John), Moncton; and his three sons, Robert (Linda), Halifax, Randy (Anne), Halifax, and Harry (IV) Michael (Vicki), Jasper, AB.
In addition, he will be forever in the hearts of his beloved nine grandchildren; Cheryl, Roderick and Justin Wetmore, all of Portuguese Cove; Christopher Power of Herring Cove; Daniel Wetmore of Moncton; Jodi and Jenna Fawcett, both of Moncton; and Trina and Harry (V) Adam Wetmore, both of Jasper.
He lived to see his first great grandchild, a son, Jacob Harry (VI) Wetmore.
He is also survived by a sister, Yvonne Brinton, Berwick, NS and a brother, Lloyd (Stella), Regina, SK, and was predeceased by two brothers, Edwin and Norman.
In keeping with Harry’s wishes, there will be no visitation prior to the Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday March 19th, at 2PM.
A reception for Harry’s family and friends follow in the Family Reception Room of the funeral home.
Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
In Harry’s memory, donations may be made to Friends of The Moncton Hospital foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
