Gérard Robichaud

MacDougall Sett. – Gérard Robichaud, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent on March 5, 1935, he was the son of the late François Robichaud and the late Elmire Goguen.
Prior to his retirement, he was an employee of the Department of Public Works for over 30 years.
He attended Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur RC Church.
He was a member of the Chevaliers de Colomb and Club d’Âge d’Or of Notre-Dame-de-Kent.
Gérard loved being with his family and will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years and his children.
Gérard enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, four wheeling and walking.
He also loved playing cards with family and friends.
Gérard is survived by his wife, Bernadette (Poirier); two sons, Bernard Robichaud (Bernadine) of MacDougall, Jacques Robichaud (Sylvie) of Notre-Dame; two daughters Jocelyne Belliveau (Allan), Gisèle McDowell (Jim) both of Irishtown; three brothers, Roméo Robichaud (Corinne) of Cape de Cocagne, Roger Robichaud (Gail) of Notre-Dame, Albert Robichaud (Anne) of Waltham, Mass; six grandchildren, Yves, Mario, Lucas, Jason, Nicholas and Gabrielle.
He was predeceased by a son, Marc (2003).
Resting at Passage Funeral Co-operative, 3754, Route 134, Shediac Bridge, the visiting hours will be on Wednesday, November 5th, from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, November 6th from 2 to 4 pm and 5:00 to 6:15 pm.
The mass will be held at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur RC Church in Notre-Dame-de-Kent at 7pm.
Interment at the parish cemetery.
A special thank you to the Extra-Mural staff and the Palliative Care unit of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, Dept. of Palliative Care at the Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, Extra-Mural Services or donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Hectorine (Nine) Manuel

MacDougall Settlement – It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family announces the death of Hectorine Manuel, 63, of MacDougall Settlement which occurred on Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Moncton on May 22, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Hyacinthe Manuel and the late Elise McGraw.
Hectorine was a doting mother and will be sadly missed by her daughter, Anne Savoie-McKechney (Garnet), her sister, Jeannette Cormier (Irené), her brothers, Hyacinthe Manuel (Claudette) and Yvon Manuel (Theresa), as well as by several nieces and a nephew.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a very special little girl, Josée.
Before her illness, Hectorine devoted her life to caring for others.
She loved people and loved to make them laugh.
She had a wonderful sense of humor which shone through even in her most difficult moments.
She was an avid card player and loved to cook.
Resting at Passage Funeral Co-Operative, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, visiting hours will be on Monday, February 9 from 7 to 9pm and Tuesday, February 10 from 2 to 4pm and 5:30 to 6:30pm.
Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré Coeur RC Church in Notre-Dame-de-Kent on Tuesday, February 10, at 7pm.
A very special thank you to Dr. M. D’Astous, Dr. Mateau, Dr. Baril, Dr. Lee, Dr. Desilets, as well as all the staff on the 4C unit at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.

Denis J. Vienneau

MacDougall, NB – Denis Vienneau, 67, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 after a brief illness.
Born in MacDougall on July 31, 1942, he was the son of the late Simon and Dora (LeBlanc) Vienneau.
Denis was a member of the Chevaliers de Colomb of Notre-Dame-de-Kent.
Denis will sadly be missed by his wife, Jeannine (Boucher); two daughters, Sandra Savoie (Edmond) of MacDougall, Carole Applegate (Tracy) of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Gérard (Cécile) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Alfred (Janet) of Fredericton; three sisters, Doreen Boudreau (Gérald), Edna Saad (John), and Stella Houle (Lucien) all from Fredericton; three grandchildren, Dominique, Rémy and Simon; also several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Friday, November 6, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur RC Church in Notre-Dame-de-Kent on Saturday, November 7 at 11 am.
No visitation on Saturday.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
