Omer Goguen

Cocagne, NB – Omer Goguen, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 1st, 2009 at the Dr.Georges-L.-Dumont hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cocagne on July 14, 1922, he was the son of the late Henri and Alice (Allain) Goguen.
He retired in 1984 from the J-Louis-Lévesque Arena at the University of Moncton.
Omer is survived by his wife, Catherine (Rina) Goguen; two sisters, Corinne Cardiff (late David) of Easton Maryland, US and Lilianne Robichaud (late Louis) of Shediac, also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph and two sisters, Aline and Dorice.
Resting at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne, visitation hours will be on Thursday, March 5th, from 9:30 am to 11 am. Funeral service will be held at St-Pierre-de Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne at 11 am.
Donations to the Foundation Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont or donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family.

Cocagne, NB – Marie Irène Babineau, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Moncton City Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cocagne on December 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Elphège and Emma (LeBlanc) Bourque.
Marie Irène is survived by her husband, Norman; two sons, Bailey and Serge both of Cocagne; one daughter, Monette of Cocagne; one sister Laura Maillet (Alban) of Cocagne; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Joël and Stéphanie.
She was predeceased by seven brothers, Moise, Edmond, Laurie, Yvon, Alcide, Joseph, Roger and three sisters, Laudia, Dorice and Stella.
No visitation as requested by family. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne at 7 pm.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Adrien J. Goguen

Cocagne – Adrien J. Goguen, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Cocagne on March 5, 1925, he was the son of the late Jaddus and Hélène (Bourque) Goguen.
Adrien will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeannine (Langis); six daughters, Huguette Hébert (Pierre), Louisette Richard, Marie-Claire Poirier (Dominique), all of Cocagne, Adrienne DuGuay (Carl Killam) of Portage Vale, Gaétanne Goguen of Gatineau, QC, Charline Cormier (Darren Coleman) of Moncton; three sons, Réjean (Betty), Camille (Rob Zwicker), Roland (Danielle) all of Cocagne; three sisters, Thérèse Melanson (Eudore) of Notre-Dame, Marie Doucet (late Bernard), Imelda Jacob (David), both of Moncton; twenty-one grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Désiré, Roméo, Joseph and one sister, Marguerite.
He was also a hunter, an avid fisherman and a noted businessman. He spent his last years as he began his life, enjoying the view of the bay.
Visitation at Passage Funeral Co-operative in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, June 30th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will take place at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne on Wednesday, July 1st at 2 pm, no viewing on Wednesday.

Marcel Bourque

Cocagne, NB – Marcel Bourque, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Cocagne on March 9, 1941, he was the son of the late Albénie D. and Marguerite (Goguen) Bourque. He was a member of the Club d’Âge d’Or of Cocagne and had his 4th degree with the Chevaliers de Colomb.
Marcel will sadly be missed by his wife, Imelda (LeBlanc): his three sons, Benoît of Moncton, André (Gail) of Fredericton, Samuel of Tokyo, Japan; one brother, Ola Bourque (Phyllis) of Cocagne; four sisters, Rita Bourgeois (late Pascal), Anna Léger (late Hector) both of Grande-Digue, Sister Marie Bourque RHSJ of Bathurst, Ethel LeBlanc (Léopold) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent; the joy and pride of his life, his two granddaughters, Emily and Laura.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Damien and Antoine and two infant brothers.
Resting at the Saint-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church Slumber Room in Cocagne, visitation will be on Friday, July 17 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, July 18 from 8:30 am till time of the funeral. Funeral Mass will take place at Saint-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church on Saturday, July 18 at 9:30 am.

Cocagne – Dorilla Arsenault, 81, passed away suddenly at her residence on Saturday, November 21.
Born in Bouctouche on January 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Maxime and Marceline (LeBlanc) Allain.
Dorilla will sadly be missed by her daughter Lynn McGrath (Eugene) of Cocagne; three brothers, Donald Allain (Velma) of Shediac, Médard Allain and Fernando Allain (Évangéline) both of Bouctouche; five sisters, Anita Robichaud (late Rodrigue) of Tracadie, Andréa Cormier (late Roger) of Dieppe, Yvonne Cormier (late Léo), Denise Cormier (Émile) and Thérèse Jaillet (Maurice) all three of Bouctouche; and two grandchildren, Jamie and Kevin.
Besides her husband, Gérard, she was predeceased by one son, Joseph and two brothers, Yvon and Alonzo.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, November 24 from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne on Wednesday, November 25 at 11 am. No visitation on Wednesday morning.

Cocagne – Arthur Bourgeois, 95, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 26.
Born in Cocagne on September 10, 1914, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Sarah (LeBlanc) Bourgeois.
Arthur will sadly be missed by Aline Savoie, long time life companion; two sons, Léopold (Suzanne), Euclide (Irène) both of Cocagne; daughter, Marielle Bourgeois of Moncton; four grandchildren, Candide, Magalie, Julien and Pavel.
He was predeceased by his wife, Blanche; one brother, Edmond; two sisters, Marie and Délina; and one half sister, Eva.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, November 29 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and on Monday November 30 from 9:30 am till funeral time. Funeral service will be at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Monday November 30 at 11am.

Cocagne, NB – Lucille (Cormier) Léger, 63, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 after a lengthy illness.
Born in St-Antoine on May 30, 1946, she was the daughter of Lorraine (Fontaine) Cormier and the late Désiré Cormier.
Lucille will sadly be missed by her husband, Sylvio, her son Richard of Cocagne, her daughter, Donna Lacenaire (Tony) of Dieppe; her mother, Lorraine of St-Antoine; her sister, Oliva Bastarache (Clarence) of Bathurst; three grandchildren, Justin, Joël, Janelle; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by an infant sister, Edna
Visitations will be held at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Slumber Room in Cocagne on Sunday, December 13th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm, and on Monday, December 14th, one hour prior to the funeral service that will be held at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne at 2pm.

Cocagne – Jean-Paul Ouellette, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 27th, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.
Born in St. Charles on June 30th, 1924, he was the son of the late Fidèle and Catherine (Daigle) Ouellette.
Jean-Paul is survived by his son, Normand (Stella) Ouellette of Cocagne, three sisters; Susanne (Late René) Babineau of Richibouctou, Alice Dicentes of Blacks Harbour and Rosalie (Roger) Chase also of Blacks Harbour.
Besides his parents, Jean-Paul is predeceased by his wife Imelda (Vautour), five brothers; Emilien, Gérard, Joseph, Albert and Joachin, four sisters; Marie-Anne, Rev. Sister Angèle, Lydia, Rosalie and one infant sister Suzanne. Jean-Paul was a member of Club d’âge d'or of Cocagne and Chevaliers de Colomb of Cocagne.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday December 30th, from 7-9 pm at the St. Pierre-de- Cocagne slumber room and on Thursday December 31st, from 9:30 until 10:30 am. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am. Memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Burial will be in St. Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic cemetery at a later date in the spring.
