Hunter, Evelyn Jean - Evelyn Jean Hunter passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on Sept. 1, 2006; daughter of the late Clifford Frederick and Florence (King) Dougherty; wife of Kenneth B. Hunter, of Brewer Lane, St. Stephen, N.B.
Survived by her husband; two daughters, Debbie Daigle (Robert), and Cindy Torrence (Tony), of St. Stephen, N.B.; three sons, Keith Hunter and Duane Turner, of St. Stephen, N.B., and Doug Turner (Cindy), of Newport, Me.; grandchildren, Peter and Bobby Daigle, Michael and Nicole Torrence, Amy Hunter, Anna Booth and Kim, Mike and Shannon Turner; one brother, James Dougherty (Adeline, ) of Alberta; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special person, Carole Ann Turner.
Predeceased by Raymond, Norman and Kenneth Dougherty.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St, Stephen, N.B., on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 at 10 a.m.
Visiting was held at The S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., on Monday, Sept. 4, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Interment in the Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Stephen, N.B.

ROLLS, Jean Florence - At Arborstone Enhanced Care Home, Halifax, N.S., on Oct. 13, 2006, Jean Florence (Mundie) Rolls, widow of the late Donald W. Rolls, of St. Stephen, N.B.; daughter of the late William and Lillian (Kilpatrick) Mundie.
Survived by one son, Bill Rolls (Gwen), of Dartmouth, N.S.; one daughter, Barb (Carl Findley), Allegheny, N.Y.; grandchildren: Donald, Lynda and Tracy; great- grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., from where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 at 2 p.m., with Dr. Mark Hatfield officiating.
Visiting at the funeral home will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.

Green, Anthony (Tony) Leigh
GREEN, Anthony (Tony) Leigh - Unexpectedly, by accident at L’Etang, N.B. on Aug. 30, 2006, Mr. Anthony (Tony) Leigh Green of Back Bay, N.B. Born in St. Stephen, N.B. on May 18, 1982, he was the son of Leigh and Tammy (Cooke) Green of L’Etang.
A loving son, grandson and brother, he is survived by his parents, Leigh and Tammy; one sister, Tiffany Green (Terry Keeping), of Port aux Basques, Nfld.; paternal grandparents, Bryant (Donna) Green of Deer Island, N.B.; maternal grandmother, Helena Cooke of Back Bay, N.B.; great-grandmothers, Anna Barteau of Leonardville, N.B. and Josephine Green of Deer Island, N.B.; and several great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tony was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Alfred Cooke, and great-grandfathers, Payson Green and Philip Barteau.
Tony was a graduate of Fundy High School, class of 2000. He enjoyed playing crib with his Nanny Green and was a dear and loving companion of his grandmother, Helena. He was loved by all who knew him.
Rested at the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay, N.B., from where the service was held on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. Interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church took place on Friday.
In Tony’s memory, donations to a charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Trecartin, Juanita Phyllis
TRECARTIN, Juanita Phyllis - Juanita Phyllis Trecartin, 86 of White Head Island, NB, passed away peacefully at the Grand Manan Hospital, Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006. Juanita was born of the late John and Estelle (Maher) Morse on White Head Island, from where she made her home with her late husband, Laurence, and raised her family.
She was a kind person and enjoyed having her family and loved ones near her and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She was a member of the White Head Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters: Marguerite (Eldon) Rideout, white Head, N.B.; Janice Geldart, Guelph, Ont., Leah (Hubert) Loof, Guelph, Ont. and Linda (Laurence) McIntyre, white Head, N.B.; two sons, Rodney (Norah) Trecartin and William Trecartin both of White Head, N.B.; two sisters, Zetta (Douglas) Eldridge, Beaver Harbour, N.B. and Patricia (John) Dunstan, of Port Ritchie, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by one son, Larry; one great-grandson, Bobby; three grandsons, Justin, Ryan and Michael, and one great-granddaughter, Stacey.
Visiting hours took place Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the White Head Baptist Church, from where the funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. Rev. Jim Appleby officiated. Interment followed at the White Head Community Cemetery.

Douglas, Betty
DOUGLAS, Betty - Betty Douglas, 76, of South Meriden, Conn., wife of the late Ralph Douglas, died Thursday at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, Conn. She was born in Brockway, N.B. on Oct. 6, 1929, a daughter of the late John and Lena Ruddock McLeod.
She has lived in Meriden since 1959 and was employed at Silver City Glass and later at Revere Corporation until her retirement.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Elizabeth Douglas of Plantsville, Conn.; her sister, Ruth Little, of McAdam, N.B.; her brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Joan McLeod, of Brockway, N.B.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Myra Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at the Brockway Union Church on Friday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow at the Brockway Cemetery.
Cameron, Ruby Alice
Ruby Alice Cameron, of Trail (and formerly of Rossland), B.C., passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, on Aug. 27, 2006. Ruby was born on Jan. 30, 1926, in Little Ridge, N.B.
She is survived by her children: Larry (Sharon), Gary, Juanita (Mark), Dwight, Rhonda and Greg; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert, Earl and David; two sisters, Violet and Rowena.
She was predeceased by her husband, Merle, in 1996; her parents, Jared and Hazel Baxter; her brother, Albion; and her sister, Velma.
A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 at noon at the Rossland Royal Canadian Legion.
Donations may be made in Ruby’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 908 Rossland Ave., Trail, BC V1R 3N6.
McConvey, Frances Eileen
McCONVEY, Frances Eileen - The death of Frances Eileen "FE" McConvey of Bayside, N.B., occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on Sept. 5, 2006. Born in Moncton, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mildred (Miller) Greenlaw.
She is survived by two daughters, Adrienne (Sean) Palmateer, of Athens, Ga., and Cheryll Carter, of Fayetteville, N.C.; two brothers, David and Michael Greenlaw; five sisters, Joyce Dushney, Betty Leavitt, Sharon Crossman, Valerie Morinville and Barbara Matthews; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; birth mother, Hilda Greenlaw; dear friends and colleagues.
She was predeceased by her sister, Judy, and great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Rose.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 8, 2006 from the All Saints Anglican Church, St. Andrews, with Canon John Matheson officiating.

Matheson-O'Neil, Patricia
MATHESON-O’NEIL, Patricia - Patricia Matheson-O’Neil, M.D., passed away suddenly at her residence in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006. She was born in Saint John, N.B., on Dec. 5, 1933 and reared in Digby, N.S. She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Rubin) Matheson.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by three children: Stuart O’Neil, of Dallas, Tex., Stephen O’Neil, M.D., of Beaumont, Tex., and Heather Tardy, of Salt Lake City, Utah; along with four wonderful grandchildren: Stephanie O’Neil, Rachel O’Neil, Kyle O’Neil and Aidan Tardy. Additionally, she is survived by her uncle, Nathan J. Rubin, of St. George, N.B., son-in-law, Alex Tardy, and daughter-in-law, Kim O’Neil.
Pat completed her medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S., as one of the very few female physicians. Following medical school, Pat went on to specialize her medical profession in the field of anesthesia, with a prominent career that spanned many decades.
Hers was a life well lived, filled with family and friends, and Pat will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage St., St. George, N.B. (755-3533), on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, from 12 noon to 2 p.m., immediately followed by a service at 2 p.m., at the funeral home, from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Canon David Genge officiating.
Interment will follow at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
