Henry, Grace Lottie

HENRY, Grace Lottie – Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on March 27, 2007, Mrs. Grace Lottie (Leavitt) Henry, wife of the late Thomas Edward Henry, of Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B., and formerly of St. George, N.B. Born in Back Bay, N.B., on June 1, 1902, she was the daughter of the late Addison and Alice (Cook) Leavitt.
A loving grandmother, great- grandmother and sister, Grace is survived by one daughter, Patsy Canuel, of Edmonton, Alta.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene (Manford) Cook, of Back Bay, N.B.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; her children, Blanche (Weldon) Paul, Eunice (Fred) Boone, and Reecie (Frank) Smith; stepdaughters, Bessie (Jack) Armstrong, Mary (Jack) Brown and Phyllis (Henry) McGrattan.
Rested at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, N.B., from where the service was held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 3 p.m., with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating.
Interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
Visiting was held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
In Grace’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Deepest gratitude to Jane Lyons and the staff of Lincourt Manor for their excellent and faithful caring.

Grimmer, Ronald Vernon

GRIMMER, Ronald Vernon - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on Sunday, March 4, 2007, Ronald Vernon Grimmer, of Tower Hill Road, Tower Hill, Charlotte County, N.B.; son of the late Walter and Adeline Grimmer, husband of Anna (Brown) Grimmer.
Survived by his wife; two daughters, Carol Mehan (Bill), and Brenda Johnson (Doug), of St. Stephen, N.B.; six grandchildren, four great- grandchildren; one sister, Grace Brown (Danny), of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. (466-1844, www.mehanfuneralhome.com), from where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 2 p.m., with Dr. Mark Hatfield officiating, assisted by Lois Bartlett.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Interment in Moores Mills Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Knox United Church, Tower Hill, N.B., or charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.

James, Charles David

JAMES, Charles David – At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on April 6, 2007, Charles David James, of Bayside, Charlotte County, N.B., son of the late Cyril Mortimer and Beatrice (MacCauley) James.
Survived by his wife, Margaret (Peggy) A. (Dunn) James; three sons, Mark David (Dawn) James, St. Andrews, N.B., Frank Matthew and Gary William (Judy) James, of Bayside, N.B.; one grandson, Andrew; one granddaughter, Gemma; two sisters, Beatrice Perry, Simcoe, Ont., and Ida Napier, Burnaby, B.C.; several nieces and nephews.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., from where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 2 p.m.
There will be no visiting by request.
Interment at a later date in Sandy Point Cemetery, Bayside, N.B.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, Children’s Wish Fund or charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family

Dashner, Kathleen Amelia

DASHNER, Kathleen Amelia – At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B., on April 5, 2007, Kathleen Amelia Dashner, widow of George W. Dashner, of St. Stephen, N.B.
Survived by one son, George (Jane Garbutt), Fredericton, N.B.; two daughters, Kathleen N. Ford, St. George, N.B., and Joan Baker (Bill), Ont.; grandchildren, Nathania Dashner, Jordan Dashner, David Ford, Anna (Michael) Caines, Andrew Ford, Patti Halliday (Alex), Cathy Baker (Jeff); one great-grandson, Nathan Halliday; one brother, Lester Knoll (Evelyn), Burlington, Ont.; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Knoll, Port Colborne, Ont.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at the Christ Anglican Church, Prince William Street, St. Stephen, N.B., on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 2 p.m.
Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
Visiting hours were held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., on Sunday, April 8.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Christ Church Building Fund, Lincourt Manor or charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Westrup, Brian E.

Westrup, Brian E. - Brian E. Westrup, beloved husband of Geraldine (Mitchell) Westrup, went to meet his Lord and Saviour at the Campobello Lodge Nursing Home, Campobello, N.B., on April 5, 2007. He was the son of the late Rev. Harold and Susie Mae Westrup.
Brian spent his childhood in Pennfield, N.B., where his father was pastor of the Pennfield Baptist Church. His teen years were spent in Saint John, where his father was pastor of the Waterloo Street Baptist Church. Brian joined the Army in his late teens. He was in the service nine years and spent a total of four years in Germany. He was a paratrooper with the P.P.C.L.I.
Brian attended the Northwest Baptist Theological Seminary and the Vancouver Bible College. He conducted the services at a Vancouver mission for several years.
Brian was employed as a machine operator at the Vancouver docks for 30 years. On retirement, Brian and Geraldine moved to Campobello Island. Brian conducted a weekly song service and Bible study at the Campobello Lodge Nursing Home and continued this service until he was no longer able to carry on due to Alzheimer's disease.
He also filled the pulpit at the Disciples of Christ Church in Lubec, Me., for many months when the church was without a pastor. He had a beautiful baritone voice and sang in many different churches.
Besides his wife of 51 years, he is also survived by his in-law Mitchell family.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from the North Road Baptist Church, with Rev. John Tremblett officiating.
Interment took place at the North Road Cemetery.
For those who wish, donations to the North Road Baptist Church Youth Centre, Campobello Lodge Nursing Home, Alzheimer’s Society of NB, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.

Adams, Stephen Richard

Adams, Stephen Richard – The death of Stephen Richard Adams, of Campobello, N.B., occurred at the Campobello Lodge on April 5, 2007. Born in Yarmouth, N.S., he was the son of Vaunda d'Entremont and the late George Adams.
Survived by his wife, Donna (Matthews) Adams; mother, Vaunda d`Entremont; son, Steven (Joley) Adams; daughter, TyRa (Mark) Delarge; stepdaughters, Terri (Donnie) Brown, Susan (Jim) MacFeat, Angela (Joe) Stuart, and Kimberly Savage; stepson, Andrew (Heather) Savage; sisters, Dorothy (Paul) Goreham, Cindy (Alva) Goreham and Romelda (Ricky) Nickerson; brothers, Wally d`Entremont and Freeman d`Entremont; grandchildren, Jim, Erica, Brett, Heather, Jessica, Joshua, Mackenzie, Jonathan, and Alexandra; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by daughter, Sherrilyn Adams; father, George Adams; and stepmother, Dorothy Adams.
The funeral was held on Monday, April 9, 2007 from Wilson's Beach Baptist Church, with Rev. Robert Weaver officiating.
For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated.

Cook, Gage Alexander

COOK, Gage Alexander – Unexpectedly, following a tragic accident, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., Master Gage Alexander Cook, of Back Bay, N.B. Born in Saint John, N.B., on Jan. 17, 1991 he was a son of Stephen Cook, of Back Bay, N.B., and Ingrid (Heuff) Cook, of Nauwigewauk, N.B.
A beloved son and brother, he is survived by his mother, Ingrid Cook (Todd Addison); his father, Stephen Cook; one brother, Logan Cook; his maternal grandparents, Marius (Diny) Heuff, of Back Bay, N.B.; paternal grandmother, Freda Cook, of Back Bay, N.B.; uncles, Dewey (Betty Lou) Michaud, of Perth-Andover, N.B., Duane (Joan) Cook, of L’Etang, N.B., and David (Donalda) Cook, of Back Bay, N.B.; aunts, Arlene (Bill) Johnson, of St. Stephen, N.B., Anna (Ronnie) Leavitt, of L’Etete, N.B., Patsy (Bob) Norman, of Bonny River, N.B., Geanie Cook, of Back Bay, N.B., Monica (Randy) Saulnier, Marian (George) Schroter of Mississauga, Ont., Audrey-Anne (Steven) Murray, of St. Stephen, N.B., Romi Heuff, of Calgary, Alta., and Darlene Heuff, of Australia; and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Cook.
Gage was a Grade 9 student at Fundy High School. He was an avid hockey fan, who enjoyed playing pond hockey and his favourite team was the Buffalo Sabres. He was also a talented art student who enjoyed sketching. A very friendly, caring and loving person, who loved socializing and being surrounded by his friends, Gage had a giving spirit, as he gave the gift of life through organ donation so others would have a chance to enjoy life.
Rested at the Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay, N.B., from where the service was held on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery.
Visitation was held at the church on Friday and Saturday.
In Gage’s memory, donations to MADD Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are in the care of the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George NB.

Lee, Mary Ellen (Nellie)

LEE, Mary Ellen (Nellie) – It is with great sadness, the family of Mary Ellen (Nellie) (Frost) Lee, of Ridgeview Manor, Pennfield, N.B., (formerly of Second Falls, N.B.), and wife of the late Roland Wynn Lee, announce her going home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 8, 2007. Born in Second Falls, N.B., on June 8, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Gorham and Mary (Kinney) Frost.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois (John) Goss; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Lee; sister, Berla Campbell; brother, Merlin Frost; sister-in-law, Freda Craig; grandchildren, Patricia (Wayne) Negus, Jane (Brian) Hatt, Debra (Fouad) Elerksaucey, John Goss Jr., Gregory (Brenda) Lee, Anna (Michael) Sauliner, Dorothy (Stephen) MacVicar, Rose (Colin Hatt) Lee, and Travis Hall; 13 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband, Nellie was predeceased by a son, Forrest Lee; infant daughter, Mary Ellen Lee; grandson, Daniel Lee; brothers, Hazen and Douglas; and a sister, Doris.
Nellie was a loving mother and grandmother, and had been a homemaker all her life. She quilted as well as knit, crocheted and tatted for her family for many years. She attended the Margaret MacRae Memorial Church in Second Falls.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, N.B., from where the service was held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the Second Falls Baptist Cemetery. Visiting was held at the funeral home on Monday.
In Nellie’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Scott, Cecil Stephen

SCOTT, Cecil Stephen – At Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., on April 22, 2007, Cecil Stephen Scott, husband of the late Isabel K. (Sawyer) Scott, of Tower Hill, N.B.
Survived by one daughter, Aleta M. Hanley; one granddaughter, Christine Bartlett; one grandson, Steven Hanley; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one great- grandson.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., from where funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 2 p.m.
Interment at Oak Bay Rural Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 25 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
