Hachey, Phyllis B.
Phyllis B. Hachey, 85, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Central Maine Medical Center, in Lewiston, Me. Phyllis was born in Baring, Me., on Jan. 13, 1922, daughter of the late Horace and Hazel (Howland) Polleys. She graduated from Calais Academy, Class of 1939.
Until her retirement, Phyllis was employed as a bank teller with Mechanic Savings Bank. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for her caring nature.
Surviving are a son, William Hachey, of Lewiston, Me.; a daughter-in-law, Donna Rushton, of Miss.; two grandchildren, Robbie and Beth; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, George Hachey; a son, Robert Rushton; a sister, Lydia Brooker; and three brothers, Steve, John and Albert Polleys.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Monday. July 16, 2007 at Baring Cemetery in Baring.

Young, Elizabeth (Betty)
At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B., on June 1, 2007, Elizabeth (Betty) Young, of Oak Bay, Charlotte County, N.B.
Betty is survived by one son, Edward Young (Elva); two daughters, Gail Leachman (Donald) and Elizabeth Ames (David). Betty will be sadly missed by her three grandchildren, Michael Young (Wanda), Matthew Leachman, and Jill Jackson; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Young, and her step-grandchildren, John and Rachel Ames.
Predeceased by her husband, George Kenwood Young, and by one son, Michael.
A family service will be held at St. David’s Church, on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 1 p.m., followed by a celebration of Betty’s life at 59 Oak Haven Road at 2 p.m.
Donations to the Alzheimers Society or Lincourt Manor would be appreciated by the family.

Parks, Wanda Lula
Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., on Sept. 13, 2009, Wanda Lula (Smith) Parks, wife of Hugh B. Parks, of Breadalbane, N.B. Born at Port La Tour, N.S., she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Nellie (Stoddard) Smith.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband, Hugh, she is survived by one son, Paul (Kathleen) Parks, of Yarmouth, N.S.; one daughter, Kimberly (John) Oliver, of Second Falls, N.B.; nine grandchildren, John, Jesse (Denise), Julia, Isaac, Josiah, Amos, Noah, Hannah and Cherith; seven sisters, Blanche (Fred) Webb, of Boston, Mass., Lorraine (Herbert) Newell, of Nova Scotia, Oleta (Warren) Cunningham, of Port La Tour, N.S., Kathleen Stockton, of Georgia, Rachel Roberts, of Baccaro, N.S., Gladys Smith, of Kennetcook, N.S., and Nancy (Paul) Donelle, of Kentville, N.S.; three brothers, Ferwood (Dorothy) Smith of Port La Tour, N.S., Weldon (Shirley) Smith, of Upper Port La Tour, N.S., and Blanchard (Debra) Smith, of Calgary, Alta.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Bruce, and four brothers, Gerald, Lawrence, George and Roscoe.
Wanda was a devoted mother who loved spending time with her family. She loved to garden, do crafts and was known for making beautiful quilts. She was a devoted Christian, who stood strong behind her faith. Her friends and family will dearly miss her warm smile and loving heart.
Resting at the St. George Baptist Church, St. George, N.B., from where the service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Darren Millett officiating, followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
Visiting at the church on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
In Wanda’s memory, donations to the St. George Baptist Church, the IWK Children’s Hospital, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Stonner, Margaret Elizabeth
Margie’s journey began on May 8, 1933 in St. Andrews, N.B., born to Cecil and Margaret Williamson.
A graduate of technical school in Fredericton, N.B., she met and married Dr. Frederik Stonner, of Saint John, N.B. They moved to the United States and raised their five children in North Chatham, N.Y., in a home filled with love. She was a North Chatham librarian and board member, a Sunday school teacher and committee member of the United Methodist Church, and a member of the Albany Curling Club. An agent at Argus Travel, she travelled the world over before retiring and moving to East Greenbush, N.Y.
Along with her husband of 55 years, her children, William Stonner (Susan), Nancy Drischler (Doug), Robert Stonner (Jennifer), John Stonner, and Edward Stonner (Heather); her brother, Allan Williamson (Sharon), of Moncton, N.B.; her stepmother, Roberta Williamson and stepsister, Joyce Reinhart, of Fredericton, N.B.; and her six grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, will miss her dearly.
Margie's journey will also end in St. Andrews, N.B., during a graveside committal service at St. Andrews Rural Cemetery, Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow in the Baptist church hall at 3 p.m.
Her legacy will continue not only in the lives of family and friends, but also in the many others she befriended in her travels.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Rayner John (Jack) Watson
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on July 21, 2009, John (Jack) Watson Rayner, of St. Stephen, N.B.; son of the late Lloyd W. and Ida Mae (Drake) Rayner.
Survived by three sisters: Eleanor MacMillan, St. Stephen, N.B., Christine Russell (Gene), St. Stephen, N.B., and Judy Miller (Robert), Baileyville, Me.; one brother, Harold P. Rayner, Apsly, Ont.; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held at the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen, N.B., on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11 a.m.

Survived by two grandsons, Aaron McGuire, Florida, and Greg Merritt, Fredericton, N.B.; one brother, Carl Greenlaw, of Rolling Dam, N.B.; several nieces and nephews.

Cooke, Laura Eileen
Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., on July 13, 2007, Mrs. Laura Eileen (Holmes) Cooke, wife of the late Reuben Blair Cooke, of Back Bay, N.B. Born in L’Etete, N.B., on Dec. 14, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Capt. Lewis W. and Floretta (Towers) Holmes.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by one daughter, Pamela (Bernard) French, of Back Bay, N.B.; three grandchildren, Tanya (Gary) Chambers, and Richelle (Jeff) Whittier, both of Utopia, N.B., and Tracy (Trina) French, of Bonny River, N.B.; five great-grandchildren, Derek, Krystle, Brent, Tristen and Regan; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband and parents, Laura was predeceased by one brother, Willard Holmes, and three sisters, Mabel Justason, Cora Dick and Blanche Grant.
Laura was an avid reader and in her early years loved camping at their site on the Glebe Road near St. Andrews, N.B. She was an entrepreneur and started her own hair dressing salon in St. George, N.B. She was a member of the Back Bay Church of Christ and the OES Granite Chapter No. 15 in St. George.
Rested at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, N.B., from where the service was held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Conrad Cline officiating.
Interment followed at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
Visiting was held at the funeral home on Saturday. An OES service was also held at the funeral home on Saturday at 7 p.m.
In Laura’s memory, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Back Bay Church of Christ or the Canadian Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Crosby, Dawna Raye (Darke)
The committal service for Dawna Raye (Darke) Crosby, formerly of Deer Island, and Fredericton, N.B., will be held Saturday, June 16, at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Richardson, Deer Island at 2 p.m. Pastor Terry Atkinson, of Brunswick Street Baptist Church, Fredericton, will be officiating.
A time of fellowship will follow.
Green, Adian Keith
Adian Keith Green, 83, of Ingalls Head, Grand Manan, N.B., passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home on Thursday morning, July 12, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Born at Grand Harbour, N.B., he was the son of the late Hillman and Pheobe (Snowdeal) Green.
Mr. Green was a Fisheries Officer and retired in 1985. He served in the Royal Canadian Army in the North Shore Regiment and took his discharge in 1945. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 44, Grand Manan, a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church where he served as Warden for several years; also served on the church vestry for 12 years and sang in the church choir.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth M. (Carr) Green at home; two sons, Nicholas, of North Head, N.B., and Gregory (Adda) Green, of Lake George, N.B.; one daughter, Deborah (David) Ingalls, of St. Catherines, Ont.; one sister, Alta Cunningham, Grand Harbour, N.B.; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Green was predeceased by two brothers, Harland (Hick) and Blair; two sisters, Almeda Nason and Una Tatton; and an infant baby in 1946.
The family received friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Friday, July 13.
The funeral service was held from St. Paul’s Church on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Captain Dana Dean officiating.
Interment followed in the family plot at Maple Grove Cemetery, Castalia, N.B.
No flowers by request. A reception followed the service for friends and relatives at the St. Paul’s Hall.

BAIN, Marian Adair – At Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., on July 12, 2007, Marian Adair (Wall) Bain, of St. Stephen, N.B.; daughter of the late John and Winifred Wall.
Survived by her brother, John H. Wall (Margery); nephew, James Wall, of Calgary, Alta.; two grandchildren, Alison (Rob) Anthony and Ian Bain; three great-grandchildren, all of Toronto, Ont.; niece, Barbara Baker, of Calgary, Alta., as well as several cousins.
Predeceased by her husband, Donald Charles Bain; her brother, J. Gilbert Wall; and stepson, Stewart (Peter) Bain.

Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
