Leeman, Andree
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Andree Leeman (July 29, 1925 - Jan. 1, 2008), at the age of 82, at her home in Edmonton, Alta.
Andree will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Willard (Bill) Leeman; daughter, Leslie (Leeman) Achtemichuk; son-in-law, Garry Achtemichuk; grandchildren, Lindsay and Craig; as well as her nieces and nephew.
Andree was predeceased by her two brothers, Jacques and Gerald Villeneuve.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008 at 1 p.m., at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 - 34 Avenue, Edmonton, Alta.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be given to the charity of one’s choice.

Murphy, Dale Philip
At his residence, on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, Dale Philip Murphy, husband of Dorothy A. (Tubbs) Murphy, of St. Stephen, N.B.
Survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Ian (Rosanne) and Daniel; daughter, Sandy (Larry); stepson, Ricky (Sherry); grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Charlotte); several nieces and nephews.
No visitation will be held by request.

Stuart, Laura
The death of Laura (Tulk) Stuart, of St. Stephen, N.B., wife of Hibbert Stuart, occurred at her residence, Monday, March 31, 2008. Laura was born in Harbour Buffett, Nfld., on Feb. 20, 1915; the daughter of the late Capt. Frank and Florence (Pyke) Tulk.
She grew up in Saint John, N.B., and spent most of her married life in St. Stephen. She was active in the community and her church. She was a Charter Member of the Atlantic Chapter I.O.D.E., Commissioner of the Girl Guides, member of Christ Church Guild and served on the board of Lonicera Hall.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Beverley Doherty (Wayne), of Quispamsis, N.B., and Martha Nutbrown (David), of Halifax, N.S.; grandchildren, Doug Boyle (Diane), Saint John, N.B., David Boyle (Melissa), California, and Elizabeth Doherty (Kevin), Fredericton, N.B.; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her eldest daughter, Lynn Boyle, as well as her six brothers and sisters, Ralph and Maxwell Tulk, Blanche Smith, Irene Robinson, Marion Wrenshall and Hilda McLaren.
Family will receive friends at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., on Thursday evening, April 3, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 2 p.m., with Archdeacon Lyman Harding officiating.
Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.

Johnson, Seymour Clyde
The death of Seymour Clyde Johnson occurred at Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B., on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Born at Lawrence Station, N.B., he was the son of the late Wilbert and Ethyl (Cleghorn) Johnson, and husband of the late Louise (Neales).
Seymour’s greatest passion was the growing of Christmas trees, and his pride in exporting trees to the U.S., to the same buyer for a number of decades.
Seymour is survived by one son, Glendon, of Lawrence Station, N.B.; one daughter, Marilyn (Oliver) Johnson-Grealish, of Edmonton, Alta.; one grandson, Craig, of St. Stephen, N.B.; five sisters: Pauline Young, Deer Island, N.B., Maxine Sabine (Waldron), of Moores Mills, N.B., Joyce MacArthur, Saint John, N.B., Jean Patterson (Roy), Harvey, N.B., and Wilberta Topple (Eric), of Fredericton, N.B.; several nieces and nephews.
Seymour was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Stewart and her husband, Clarke, of St. Stephen, N.B., and Evelyn MacKenzie and her husband, John, of St. Martins, N.B.; and brothers-in-law, Decosta Young, Leonardville, Deer Island, N.B., A. MacArthur (Mac), of Saint John, N.B., and Floyd Fowler, of Fredericton, N.B.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., where funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 3:30 p.m.
Interment at Brockway Cemetery at a later date.

At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on Jan. 8, 2008, Harry Lloyd Scott, husband of Sylvia D. (Williams) Scott, of Oak Bay, N.B. He was a member of the Carleton- York Regiment.
Survived by his wife; three sons, Harry (Priscilla), of Rusagonis, N.B., Berkeley (Sharon), of Fredericton, N.B., and Robert (Sue) of Kerrs Ridge, N.B., two daughters, Sylvia Herron (Ed), of St. Stephen, N.B., and Brenda Scott Barnes (Brian), of Kerrs Ridge, N.B.; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

At her residence, on Feb. 5, 2008, Carol Ann Cunningham, of Old Ridge, N.B.; daughter of the late Cecil D. and Marguerite E. Bryant.
Survived by her children, Carolyn (Ivan), Melissa (Robert), Daniel (Crystal), all of Bocabec, N.B., and Serena, of St. Andrews, N.B.; six grandchildren, Natasha, Vanessa, Jonathon, Jasmine, Mary and Grace; also survived by one brother, Douglas; four sisters, Audrey, Donna, Rosemary and Sandra; as well as several aunts, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, and stepfather, James Vincent Bryant, and her beloved brother, Phillip.
No visitation will be held by request.
A private family service will be held. Public graveside service will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008 at 2 p.m., at the St. Andrews Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Justason, Donna Doreen
Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., on Feb. 10, 2008, Mrs. Donna Doreen (Cook) Justason, wife of Bruce Alan Justason, of Pennfield, N.B. Born in Back Bay, N.B., on April 21, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Shirley (Hooper) Cook.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and niece, she is survived by her husband, Bruce; one son, Mark Justason (Tracy Donahee), of Pennfield, N.B.; one daughter, Laura (Kevin) Leavitt, of Pennfield, N.B.; five grandchildren, Derick, Devin, Mariah, Tory and Jewel; three aunts, Wilma Lee, of St. Andrews, N.B., Helena Cook, of Back Bay, N.B., and Elizabeth Hooper, of St. Andrews, N.B.; two uncles, Guilford (Valerie) Cook, and Blois Cook, both of Back Bay, N.B.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donna worked for Connor’s Bros. in Blacks Harbour for a number of years. She enjoyed celebrating birthdays with her family and circle of friends. She loved to knit and collect stuffed bears and was a big Elvis fan. She was a member of the Red Hat Scarlet Angels.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium, 26 Portage Street, St. George, N.B., from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at 2 p.m, with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating.
The interment will take place at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring.
Visiting at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B., on April 4, 2008, Beatrice Christine (Kennedy) Appleby, widow of Harold Appleby.
Survived by one son, Robert Appleby (Malissa), of Ottawa, Ont.; one daughter, Linda LaFrance (James), of St. Stephen, N.B.; grandchildren: Stacie LaFrance-Black, Jason LaFrance, Michele Appleby, and Michael Appleby; special great-granddaughter, Emma LaFrance; sisters, Fran Vail and Madeline Davis; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; sisters, Thelma Lovelace and Doris Kennedy; brothers: Don Kennedy and Lawrence Kennedy; and special friend, Wayne Cropley.

Young, Mildred Doris
Peacefully, at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, N.B., on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, Mrs. Mildred Doris (Richardson) Young, wife of the late Cyril Young, of Hibernia Cove, N.B. Born on Deer Island, N.B., on Dec. 15, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Allison and Maude (Eaton) Richardson.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by two sons, Raymond Young, of Hibernia Cove, and Gary Young, of Chocolate Cove, N.B., 10 grandchildren, Faye Doughty, Teresa Richardson, Joan Thompson, Allison Young, Mark Young, Brian Young, Ralph Young, Julia Young, Suzanne Banks and Craig Young; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Stanford (Myrtle) Young; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Young and Dorothy Richardson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mildred was recently predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Maxine Young, who had nursed her at home since 2002. She was also predeceased by sisters, Marion Cline and Lelia Doughty; brothers, Harland, Raymond, Maxwell and Manning; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mildred loved knitting and cooking, and was a member of the Leonardville Church of Christ.
Rested at the Leonardville Church of Christ, from where the service was held on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Joel Bridges and Rev. Conrad Cline officiating.
The interment followed at the Leonardville Community Cemetery.
Visiting was held at the church on Sunday.
In Mildred’s memory, donations to the IWK Children’s Hospital, Halifax, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
