Conley, William F., Sr.
At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B., on Tuesday, Dec., 16, 2008, William Franklin Conley, Sr., husband of Mabel (Watson) Conley, of St. Stephen, N.B. Born in Leonardville, N.B., he is the son of the late William Henry and Udavilla (Wallace) Conley.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mabel, are his two sons: Glenn (Claudine), of Blacks Harbour, N.B., and Bill Jr. (Kelly), of St. Stephen, N.B.; one sister, Genevieve Sellars, of Pennfield, N.B.; two grandchildren, Krysten Justason and Jennifer Conley; two great-grandchildren, Sean and Lauryn Justason; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers and six sisters, two grandsons, Timmy and Danny Conley.
Resting at Humphreys’ Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, N.B., from where the family will receive friends and relatives during a time of visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Friends are welcomed to attend a graveside service on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at 2 p.m., at the Blacks Harbour Community Cemetery, Blacks Harbour, N.B.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society or Lincourt Manor would be appreciated by the family.
Lindsay, Audrey Marguerite
At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B., on Dec. 18, 2008, Audrey Marguerite (Eales) Lindsay, widow of Joseph W. Lindsay, of St. Stephen, N.B.; daughter of the late Ferd and Bessie (Tracy) Eales.
Survived by four sons: Joe (Gail), Peter, Larry and Bobby Lindsay, all of St. Stephen, N.B.; one daughter, Barb Canavan (Richard), of Fredericton, N.B.; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband and son, Ally Lindsay.
No visitation by request.
Graveside service will be held at the Moores Mills Rural Cemetery at a later date.

Lund, Donna Jeanette
After a brief illness, Donna Jeanette Lund, of Sackville, N.B., passed away peacefully at the Sackville Hospital with her family at her side. Donna was in her 71st year. Born in Sackville, N.B., on Oct. 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Rensforth and Genesta Tower.
Donna was a mother, grandmother, and homemaker who had a great zest for life and spending time with friends and family. She especially loved spending time at her cottage at Ann's Acres and socializing with her friends in Sackville, in particular those at the Main Street Baptist Church, which she had attended since she was a child.
Donna will be sadly missed by her four children: sons, Chris, of Toronto, Ont., Peter (Cathy), of Fredericton, N.B., and David (Johanne) of Toronto, Ont; daughter Susan (Jonathon) Plomp, of Regina, Sask.,; one brother, Gordon, of Saint John, N.B.; her eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by Mervyn Lund, her husband of 45 years; and several brothers: Stuart, Hartley, Norman (Tommy), Roy and Donald, along with sister, Marguerite (Sloan).
A memorial service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, N.B., (506-364-1300) on Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at 2 p.m., with Pastor Swanson officiating.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Thomas, Berneice Mary
Berneice Mary Thomas, 82, of North Head, Grand Manan Island, N.B., passed away on Sunday morning, Nov. 2, 2008, at the Grand Manan Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Widow of the late Edgar Francis Thomas; born at Grand Harbour, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Zelia (Wilson) Guptill.
Berneice was a devoted mother and wife to her family, as well as spending endless hours devoted to community activities. She was very active as a representative of the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation, the North Head Baptist Church Sunday School, the Grand Harbour Baptist Sunday School. She was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge IOOF, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 44, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion, Branch No. 44, she served in the Royal Canadian Army Women’s Corp during the Second World War. She also served with the Royal Canadian Militia for over 23 years as a medical receptionist at the DVA Hospital, Saint John. Berneice was the proud recipient of the Queen’s Commission.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by one daughter, Carolyn (Walter) Morse, of Grand Harbour, N.B.; three sons, Rev. Rick (Sheila) Thomas, of Petitcodiac, N.B., Kenneth (Dianne) Thomas and Stewart (Carolyn) Thomas, both of North Head, Grand Manan, N.B.; one sister, Helen (Horace) Bagley, of Saint John, N.B.; three brothers, Keith (Phyllis) Guptill, of Sussex, N.B., Clinton (Judy) Guptill and Burton (Elizabeth) Guptill, both of Saint John, N.B.; as well as 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family received friends and relatives at the North Head Baptist Church on Monday, Nov. 2, from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 at 12:30 p.m., with Rev. Rick Thomas officiating, assisted by Rev. Ron Ford. A reception followed in the church hall.
Interment took place in the North Head Community Cemetery.
The family requests donations be made to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation or the North Head Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Campbell, Allison Roland
Allison Roland Campbell, 68, of Seal Cove, Grand Manan Island, N.B., and formerly of Moncton and Saint John, N.B., passed away at the Moncton City Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Prince Edward Island, he was the son of the late Maxfield and Mazie (MacNeill) Campbell.
Al, as he was known by everyone, was an employee of Thorne’s Hardware Ltd., for over 29 years, in both Moncton and Saint John in the hardware division and then at Island Home Hardware, Grand Manan, before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Diane (Ingersoll) Campbell, at home; two daughters, Jennifer Gail (Bryant) Clain, of Hillsborough, N.B., and Andrea Dawn (Neil) Legacy, of Riverview, N.B.; one sister, Joan Campbell, of Summerside, P.E.I.; three brothers, Robert (Bob) of Miami, Fla., Ensor and Dale, both of Summerside, P.E.I.; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, from the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Ward McComiskey officiating.
The family requests donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Gullison, Don Clinton
At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B., on Nov. 1, 2008, Don Clinton Gullison; son of Yvonne Gullison and the late Perley Gullison, of St. Stephen, N.B.
Survived by his mother; sister, Margie (Dana) Brooker, of St. Stephen, N.B.; niece, nephew and aunts.
There will be no visitation or funeral service by request.

McGeachy, Lt. Col. D. Kirk
Lieutenant Colonel D. Kirk McGeachy, CD, CET, was born in St. Stephen, N.B., on Aug. 26, 1953, and passed away accidentally on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008. He is the eldest of five children of Duncan and Florence (née Griffith) McGeachy.
He graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1971, where he was a member of the No. 1180 Cadet Corps, and received a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from the Saint John Institute of Technology in 1975.
He has three children, Nicholas, Megan and Kennedy, and he is married to Lisa (Kennedy), of Douglastown, Que. Lt. Col. McGeachy is survived by sisters, Mary Reid (Robert) and Janet McGeachy (Tom McAvity), and brothers, Marc McGeachy (Monique) and Sandi McGeachy (Anne). Kirk is also survived by several nephews, nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces.
Lieutenant Colonel McGeachy enrolled in 3rd Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery (The Loyal Company), on Feb. 1, 1972, as an Officer-Cadet under the Reserve Officer University Training Program. He was commissioned on Sept. 1, 1972 as a 2nd Lieutenant. On July 15, 1982, he was promoted to Major and in 1983, during the royal visit of the Prince and Princess of Wales to New Brunswick, he was appointed the Guard Commander for the Honour Guard.
Lieutenant Colonel McGeachy also completed the US Marine Corps (Reserve) Command and Staff College in Quantico, Va. Lt. Col. McGeachy commanded the 3rd Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery (The Loyal Company) from 1998 to 2001 and from 2005 to 2008.
In September 1975, Kirk joined the staff of Jacques Whitford and Associates Ltd., where he was employed as a Senior Engineering Technologist. In this capacity, he has been involved in the construction of potash mines, and many major projects including the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, the Hibernia offshore production platform; the Market Square, McAllister Place and Harbour Station developments in Saint John.
Kirk was also a member of the Royal Canadian Artillery Association. His hobbies included parachuting, boating, camping, water-skiing, motor mechanics and reading.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m., at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at St. John the Baptist Parish Church (60 Broad Street) at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the Barrack Green Armoury.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to Organ Transplant or the 3rd Field Regimental Fund.
The family will also be holding a Memorial Service on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Christ Church Cathedral in St. Stephen at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at Trinity Hall.
MacDougall, Evelyn Margaret
At Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, N.B., on Nov. 3, 2008, Evelyn Margaret (Cowan) MacDougall, widow of Henry Allen MacDougall, of McAdam, N.B.; daughter of the late James Leslie and Hazel Regina (Golding) Cowan.
Survived by one son, Brian (Mary), Alberta; four daughters, Heather Regular (Barry), Moncton, N.B., Sharon McIntyre (Alex), Lawrence Station, N.B., Carol Cleghorn (Michael), Tower Hill, N.B., and Mary Greenslade (Wayne), Kars, N.B.: 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma McIver, Calais, Me.; several nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Voice of Pentecost Church, McAdam, N.B., from where funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 at 2 p.m.
Interment at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, N.B.

Survived by her husband, Arnold; one daughter, Elva Hatt (Richard), St. Stephen, N.B; one son, Donald McGlinchey, Pomeroy Ridge, N.B; one granddaughter, Kelly Hatt, St. Stephen, N.B.; one grandson, Michael Hatt, St. Stephen, N.B; one sister, Marion McPhail, Perry, Me.; one brother, Clifford McLaughlin, Little Ridge, N.B., several nieces and nephews.
