Sr. Célia Forest
1906-2008
Peacefully in her sleep at the Motherhouse of the Religious Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton, on Sunday February 10, 2008, at the age of 101, passed away Sister Célia Forest (Sr Marie-Joseph).
Born in Cap-Pelé on November 7, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Patrice Forest and the late Marguerite Richard.
She is survived by her religious family.
The mortal remains are on display at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Religious Mother House, 125 King Street in Moncton (entrance to Godfrey Lane) from where the funeral will be on Wednesday February 13 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memramcook.
Visiting hours Tuesday February 12 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

J. Guillaume "Willie" Bourque
1929-2008
`At the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont of Moncton, on Wednesday February 6, 2008, at the age of 78, passed away suddenly J. Guillaume "Willy" Bourque, residing in Shediac, rue Providence.
Born June 24, 1929 in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Arthur and Régina (Goguen) Bourque. Mr. Bourque was a Korean War veteran. He retired in 1984 after 32 years of service with the Department of Defense in Downsview, Ontario. He was a member of the Shediac Golden Age Club.
He is survived by his de facto spouse, Norma Belliveau, five sisters: Rita Bourque, Florence Bourque (Néri), Yolande Richard (Léo) and Bernadette Bourque all of Grande-Digue, Sylvia Doiron of Acadieville; two brothers: Réginald (Rita) and Henri (Yvette) de Grande-Digue; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His wife Bertha (Melanson) Bourque, as well as a sister, Georgina Butt, predeceased him.
According to her wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated from La Visitation RC Church, Grande-Digue on Wednesday February 13, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The funeral arrangements were in the professional care of Frenette Funeral Home Ltée., 396 Main Street in Shediac (532-3297).
In lieu of the flowers, a donation to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Emma Vautour
1914-2008
Emma Vautour, 94, wife of the late Alcide Vautour of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Cap-Pelé passed away on Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Villa Providence.
Born January 18, 1914 in St. Ignace, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Léger) Johnson. Mrs. Vautour was a retired school teacher having taught in Bas Cap-Pelé and Dupuis Corner.
She is survived by three sons: Camille (Sylvine) and Aris (Jacinthe) both of Dieppe, Léo-Paul (Denise) of Cap-Pelé; two brothers: Éric Johnson (Marie-Anne) of St. Ignace, Irené Johnson (Ella) of St. Louis; six grandchildren: Mario, André, Stéphane, Julie, Janelle, and Michelle, and by five great grandchildren: Rachel, Annie, Felix, Yanick, Xavier.
Besides her husband Alcide (1984), she was also predeceased by two sisters: Imelda and Eva and six brothers: Narcisse, Arthur, Émile, Alban, Armand and Father Camille Johnson.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. until time of departure at 9:05 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Léo D. Landry
1916-2008
Léo D. Landry, 92, of Veteran Health Center, Moncton and formerly of Dupuis Corner passed away at the residence on Monday, April 14, 2008.
Born February 2, 1916 in Dupuis Corner, he was the son of the late Damien and Dina (Hébert) Landry. Prior to his retirement, Léo was formerly the proprietor of Security Plastic Co. He was a member of the Lions Club, and a past president and member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 91 in Cap-Pelé.
He is survived by a daughter Dina Cormier (Valmond Hachey) of Cap-Pelé, two sons: Léo Jr. (late Ida) of Ontario, David (Dianne) of Cap-Pelé; ten grandchildren: Bernice, Perry, Donald, Robert, Eric, Allain, Josée, Joanne, Monique, Michel; eight great grandchildren: Nicklaus, Joshua, Jeremie, Julie, William, Sara, Cindy, Lorraine and by several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was predeceased by his wife Stella (Pellerine) Landry (1977), grand daughter Edith, one sister Anita and by four brothers: Calixte, Gérard, Edvin and Antoine.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 9 a.m. until departure at 10:20 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2008 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of N. B. would be appreciated by the family.

Leopold 'Paul' Gautreau
1940-2008
At his residence, Thursday February 28, 2008, at the age of 67, passed away following a long and courageous fight with cancer, surrounded by his family, Mr. Léopold 'Paul' Gautreau, domiciled in Moncton.
Born in Pré-d'en-Haut, he was the son of the late Philias Gautreau and the late Clara LeBlanc.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeannette (Gautreau) Gautreau; two sons: Daniel of Halifax and Pierre (Tannis Burnett) of Toronto; his daughter, Monica (Ladd) Maloski of Kamploops, BC; two sisters: Camilla Cormier of Dieppe and Léonie Roy of Moncton; five grandchildren: Sydney, Hannah, Connor, Nicolas, Madison; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He retired after 40 years of service with Agnew / Agnew Surpass Shoes in Summerside, I-P-E and Moncton. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Paul was recognized for his knowledge of the genologies of the Gautreau and LeBlanc families and for being a card player. He was very proud of his flowers and his garden at his cottage on Paradise Row Road in Ste-Marie-de-Kent. He was happy to be among his family and friends. Jigaloo Paul!
The family will receive condolences this Sunday between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Frenette Funeral Home Ltée, 88 Church Street in Moncton. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Holy Family Church in Moncton on Monday March 3, 2008 at 10 am.

Armand L. Brun
`At the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont de Moncton, on Monday March 3, 2008, at the age of 74, passed away following a long illness, Armand L. Brun, domiciled in Shediac. He was the son of Alphonse to Georges Brun, formerly of Cap-des-Caissie and of Judith to Guillaume "Willie" Hébert from Shediac Bridge.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carmel (née) LeBlanc, a daughter Natacha Darling (Dave) of Whitby, Ontario and a son André (Chantal Collette) of Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. He is also survived by four sisters: Léola Comeau, Édith Bourque (Léonide), Bernice Landry all of Shediac, and Bernadette Boudreau (Ronald) of Petit-Cap; four brothers: Henri (Anna) of Dupuis Corner, Laurie (Annette) and Claude all of Shédiac, Bernard (Majella LeBlanc) of Haute-Aboujagane; as well as several nieces and nephews. Other predecessor brothers and sisters: Laurie, Édith (at a young age), as well as Réginald and Jean-Paul.
Armand made his career in teaching having taught in Grand Falls, St-Basile, Dalhousie, Rogersville and Shediac. He was also a school principal in Dalhousie, Rogersville and ended his career as principal of Polyvalente Louis-J-Robichaud in Shediac. He has been a teacher-cooperator in Africa and Indonesia. Armand has the distinction of having been the first full-time president, 1968-69, of the New Brunswick Teachers Association. During his tenure, the association transformed into a federation. He was also president of the Association of Directors of Francophone Schools in New Brunswick. Over the years, he was president of the association of Alumni, Alumni and Friends of the University of Moncton and for fourteen years vice-president of the Dr. Georges-L Hospital Foundation. Dumont. He claims the title of founding president of the Gala de la St-Valentin. At the local level, he was chairman of the committees for the construction of the presbytery and the bell tower of the Parish of St. Joseph.
He was president of the Shediac Cooperative. At the national level, he was for six years vice-chair of the National Council of Welfare and for four years a member of the Veterans Court in Charlottetown. He is an officer of the Regents Tree of the University of Moncton and the Armand L. Brun Scholarship Fund guarantees each year a scholarship of at least one thousand dollars to a graduate of Polyvalent Louis-J-Robichaud. who is enrolled at the Université de Moncton.

Pauline Roussel
1927-2008
At Villa Providence in Shediac, on Friday March 7, 2008, at the age of 80, passed away Pauline Roussel, wife of the late Lucien Roussel, domiciled in Shediac, but formerly of Moncton.
Born August 23, 1927 in Edmundston, she was the daughter of the late Élie Beaulieu and the late Alexandrine Côté.
She is survived by two sons: Yves (Pierrette) of Montreal and André (Danielle) of Ottawa; two grandchildren: Mélanie from Manitoba and Isabelle from Quebec; one brother, Paul (France) from Tennessee; four sisters: Diane (Jim Clavette) and Geraldine (Patrick Bagley) both of Madawaska, ME, Charlotte (Thomas Humphrey), of Florida and Liette King of Sept-Isles; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Debbie née McGrath.
Pauline was a teacher at Champlain School for 23 years before her retirement and a member of SERFNB.
The remains are on display at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street in Moncton. The funeral will be on Wednesday March 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ste-Thérèse Church in Dieppe. Interment will be in Edmundston.
Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
