Didier Duguay
1933-2008

Didier Duguay, 75, of Moncton passed Monday, May 19, 2008 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born February 4, 1933 in Shippagan, he was the son of the late Willie and Justine (Lebreton) Duguay.

He was a retired employee at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.

A loving father and grandfather, he will be sadly missed by his two sons: Jean-Pierre (Krista) of Notre-Dame and Gilles Duguay of Moncton; two grandchildren: Natalie and Jean-Daniel; a brother, Clarence, a sister, Yvette David, and his former wife, Rita (Allain).

The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, Moncton. No visitation by request. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Frenette Funeral Home, Moncton.

Aline Léger
1931-2008

Aline Léger, 76, wife of Paul Léger passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Villa Providence, Shediac . Born December 2, 1931 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Zoël and Marguerite (Gallant) Cormier. Aline was a telephone operator with NBTel prior to her retirement and a member of the Shediac Club d'àge d'or.

Besides her husband Paul, she is survived by daughter Nadine deBlois (Paul) and son Joël (Margaret) of Dartmouth, N.S., five sisters: Catherine Cormier, Dorine Belliveau (Hector), Rose Cormier all of Shediac, Cécilia Cormier of Bouctouche, Paulette LeGendre of Frederiction; four brothers: Francis Cormier (Louise) and Aimé Cormier (Alfreda) of Shediac, John Cormier of Alexandria, ON, Robert Cormier (Gladys) of Kitchener, ON; five grandchildren: Adrienne, Marissa, Nicolas, Zachary, Benjamin; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son Roger, sister Doris Boudreau and by two brothers: Maurille and Alyre Cormier.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2008 at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Pointe du Chêne. Interment will be in Saint-Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Shediac. No visitation by request. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297). Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia would be appreciated.

Aline's children would like to thank Aunt Rose, Cécilia, Catherine and Dorine. From the onset of Mom's illness, they all stood by with care and attention for Mom and with endless support for Dad. Mom was never without a daily visit. We can never thank you all enough for this. To the staff of Colombe and Beau Soleil at the Villa Providence, your passion and care for all of the residents and in the administration of Mom's care was remarkable. Your kindness and patience will never be forgotten.

Thomas "Tom" Bourque
1914-2008

Thomas "Tom" Bourque, 94, of High St., Moncton passed away peacefully with his nephew Paul at his side on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Palliative Care Unit .

Born April 10, 1914 in Beaumont, he was the son of the late Siméon and Alvina (Bourgeois) Bourque. He was a retired employee and manager with NBLCC in Moncton for 35 years. For the past 50 years, Tom enjoyed gardening and taking daily walks at his summer home in Grand-Barachois.

He will be sadly missed by a sister Dorilla Dupuis (late Joseph) of Moncton, several nieces and nephews; especially by his care givers Paul and Denise Dupuis, and by a special niece Tina.

He was predeceased by his wife Vienna "Diana" (Boudreau) Bourque, five sisters: Imelda, Dorilla, Bertha, Évangeline, Andréa; two brothers: Edward and Antonio.

Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church St., Moncton on Monday from 7 to 9p.m. and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure 10:45a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Christ Roi R.C. Church, Moncton. Interment will be in St. Henri R.C. Cemetery, Grand-Barachois.

Donations to the Palliative Care unit of the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital would be appreciated.

Alcide "Hio" Boudreau
1925-2008

Alcide "Hio" Boudreau, 82, of Shediac passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 30, 1925 in Ohio, N.B., he was the son of the late Aurèle and Annalice (Boudreau) Boudreau. Mr. Boudreau worked at Dom Glass until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time at his camp.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Sara (Boudreau) Boudreau, three daughters: Annette Thibodeau and Aline Boudreau (Adelard) both of Shediac, Claire Melanson (John) of Hartford, Conn.; four sons: Louis (Doris) of Boudreau Ouest, Normand (Charlotte) of Fort Nelson, B.C., Harvey (Christine) and André (Janice) both of Shediac; one sister Rita Brun of Grand-Barachois; one brother Émile (Prescille) of Shediac; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother Léo.

Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of departure 10:50 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m.on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Léon Richard Oncology Center of the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital would be appreciated.

Audrey Côté St-Onge
1922-2008

Visual artist, educator, community development activist, and exuberant gardener -- a passion she shared with her husband, Armand -- Audrey died peacefully on July 4 at the G.L. Dumont hospital in Moncton with her daughter, Lynne, and son-in-law, David, by her side.

Born in Rivière-Verte, NB, Audrey began a long career as a teacher in the early 1940's and always worked to value and promote the arts as an integral part of education and of life. She worked at every level of cultural development, from grassroots to national, with constant and unwavering vision.

In 2007 she was awarded the Order of New Brunswick: “ for her outstanding contribution to the cultural development of New Brunswick' s Acadian Community, her unconditional support for the arts and artists in her region, and her involvement in national arts organizations... .”

Audrey Coté St-Onge was the daughter of the late Oneil Côté and Myrtle Muckler, and sister of the late Frances Lapointe.

She will be greatly missed by her family, her dear nieces, nephews and friends, and by her daughter, Lynne Saintonge, and son-in-law, David Taiaroa.

Special thanks to close friends who spent precious time with the family in Audrey's last days, and to the nurses, doctors, and health care workers at the Edmundston Regional Hospital and the G.L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton for their compassionate care.

Audrey's funeral service will be held in the parish church of Saint-Basile, NB, on Saturday, July 26 2008 at 11am. A reception for family and friends will follow.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to The Lung Association of New Brunswick, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a favourite charitable organization.

William "Bill" Leger
1940-2008

William "Bill" Leger, 67, husband of the late Pauline Leger passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton.

Born September 20, 1940 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Dosithée Leger and the late Pheobe Bourgeois. Bill was the owner and operator of Horizon Trailer Park and Vacation Village in Shediac and formerly a brick layer with Bill Leger Ltd. He was an avid baseball and Men's Amateur Hockey fan.

He will be sadly missed by his four loving children: Guy (Johanne), Lynn Leger (Marc LeBlanc), Liane Leger (Gareth Powell) and Mark Leger all of Shediac; two sisters: Judy Bavis (Kirk) of Moncton, Shirley Clements of Springhill, N.S.; three brothers: Don (Toni) of Fitchburg, Mass., Earl (Marg) of Athol, Mass., and Jack (Marilyn) of Moncton; five precious grandchildren: Jenna, Serge, Anika, Karine, Annie and by many nieces, nephews and friends.

His wife of 43 years Pauline (Belliveau) Leger passed away on May 3, 2008. He was also predeceased by a brother Lloyd.

Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Friday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until departure (10:20 a.m.). Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Saint-Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of N. B. or Cardiac Unit of the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital would be appreciated.
