Hector Gallant
1943-2008
Hector "Titi" Gallant, 65, of Toronto, formerly of Moncton, passed away May 6, 2008 in Toronto.
Born in Lewisville, he was the son of the late Pierre and Edith (Saulnier) Gallant.
He is survived by six sisters: Dora Collette, Thérèse Robichaud, Rita Leger, Corinne Melanson, Jeannette Caissie, Gloria LeBlanc; many nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Dorothy Gilbert.
He is predeceased by a sister, Marie LeBlanc; four brothers: Edward, Fred, Arthur, and Gérard Gallant.
An interment service will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, Wednesday, September 10 at 11 a.m.

Yvette Gaudet
1912-2008
Peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, August 28, 2008, passed away Yvette Gaudet, 96, wife of the late Gérard Gaudet of Robinson Street, Moncton.
Born July 30, 1912 in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Eugénie (Bourgeois) Boudreau.
She was the last survivor of her immediate family and leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Marie Gaudet, Diane Pattengale, Dismas, Ovide, Albénie, and Zoël Boudreau.
At her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Moncton, on Thursday, September 4 at 11 a.m
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

Joseph Léger
1922-2008
Joseph Léger, 86, of O Bons Soins Residence, Shediac and formerly of Haute-Aboujagane passed away suddenly at the residence on Wednesday, September 3, 2008.
Born January 25, 1922 in Haute-Aboujagane, he was the son of the late Willie and Irène (Drisdelle) Léger.
He will be sadly missed by one sister Catherine Baxter of Toronto, ON, and by two nieces Mary Ann and Cecilia.
He is predeceased by two sisters: Bertha Léger and Sr. Anne-Marie Léger and by a brother Pamphile Léger.
No visitation by request. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Haute-Aboujagane. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sacré Coeur Cemetery Fund in Haute Aboujagane would be appreciated.

Francis A. Léger
1945-2008
Francis A. Léger, 63, of Grand-Barachois passed suddenly at home on Wednesday, September 3, 2008.
Born June 29, 1945 in Haute-Aboujagane, he was the son of Alphonse Léger and the late Adella Bourque. He was formerly employed with Avondale Construction as a site supervisor.
Besides his father Alphonse Léger of Shediac, he will also be sadly missed by his children: Lise Léger of Moncton and Roger (Nathalie) of Grand-Barachois; three brothers: Marcel (Lorraine) of Moncton, Lévis of Halifax, N.S., and Benoît of Edmonton, AB; four sisters: Rachel Léger of St. John, Denise Duchesne (late Georges) and Doris Brun (Philippe) both of Haute-Aboujagane and Diane Léger of Moncton; four grandchildren: Michel, Marielle, Veronica and Joël; and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his mother Adella (Bourque) Léger (1992), he is also predeceased by his wife Viola (Comeau) Léger (2002).
No visitation by request. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Léonard Gallant
1947-2008
Léonard Gallant, 60, of Haute-Aboujagane passed away accidentally at his home on Wednesday, September 3, 2008.
Born September 21, 1947 in Haute-Aboujagane, he was the son of Hélèna Ouellette and the late Edgar Gallant. Mr. Gallant was a welder and a boilermaker by trade. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.
Léonard will be sadly missed by his loving family, mother Hélèna (Ouellette) Gallant of Shediac, three brothers: Claude of Shediac, Normand (Yolande) and Jean (Monique) both of Haute-Aboujagane; six sisters: Claudette Cormier (Gary) of Haute-Aboujagane, Rosella Gallant of St. Anselme, Louise Gallant (Jean-Louis) and Maria Gallant (Roger Fougère) both of Shediac, Noëlla Lock (Bill) of Edmonton, AB, Murielle LeBlanc (Paul-Émile) of Memramcook; a godchild Lise Léger and by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father Edgar in 1994.
Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure at 10:35 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Haute-Aboujagane. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Joseph E. Landry
1924-2008
Joseph Edvard Landry, 84, of Shediac, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Dr. G.-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 9, 1924 in Dupuis Corner, he was the son of the late Edvard and Edith (LeBlanc) Landry.
He established and operated many businesses starting in 1945 as manager of Cap-Pelé Co-op General Store, then, in 1947, as an insurance representative with Mutual Life, a sales representative for Marven's in 1949, co-owner and manager of Landry Bros. Furniture in 1961, owner-operator of Shediac Men's Wear in 1962, owner-operator of Shediac Dry Cleaners in 1962, and owner-operator of Sealine Realty from 1970-1993.
His past service organisation are numerous; Founding President Edmundston Jr. Chamber of Commerce, past member of Edmundston Lions Club, former alderman Town of Shediac, past-president Shediac Rotary Club, past Senator of J.C.I. # 2184, former Mayor Town of Shediac from 1961-1966, past-president of Shediac Lions Club, 3rd degree member Shediac Knights of Columbus, past member of The Moncton Hospital Board of Trustees, past-president Canadian and Maritimes Retails Merchants Association, past-president of Club Boishébert, past deputy district governor Lions Club 41N1, honorary admiral for the State of Louisiana, past member of the Moncton, New Brunswick, and Canadian Real Estate Boards, a commissioner of Oaths representative, and designate of the International R.R.A & S.C.V. in 1987.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Berthe (Cormier) Landry; his three loving daughters: Diane Landry of Montréal, Louise Leger (Norbert) and Bernice Clements (Ross) both of Shediac; his four dear grandchildren: Nancy Menard (Claude) and Guy Deschamps all of Montréal, Jason Clements (Lynne) of Moncton, Jessica Butler (Curtis) of Shediac Bridge; his three precious great-grandchildren: Jessica, Sabrina, and Tommy; his brothers and sisters: Céleste Boudreau (late Alphée), Marie Robichaud (Fernand), Émerise Leger (Henri), Edvard (Gloria), Emery (Lorraine) all of Shediac, Louis (Rita) of Grand-Barachois, Charles-Yvon (Lisa) of Cap-Pelé, Archangela Bourque (Philippe) of Trois-Ruisseaux, Angèle Mouland (Bill) of Moncton; many nieces, and nephews.
He is predeceased by two brothers: Ferdinand et Arsène; five half-brothers: Alfred, Aurèle, Léonel, Napoléon, Dismas.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Shediac on Tuesday, September 9 at 11 a.m., Father Maurice Leger officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation Monday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until departure (10:50).
