Ronald Bourque
1933-2008

Ronald "Ron" Bourque, 75, of Edgett Avenue, Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, September 18, 2008 after a battle with cancer.

Born February 13, 1933 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Eddie and Délia (Drisdelle) Bourque.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Pierrette (Melanson) Bourque; his daughter Janice and son-in-law Conrad Leger; his two precious grandchildren: Jacques (Sabrina) and Julie (Samuel); two step-sisters: Jeanne Williamson (late Buster) and Doris Cunningham (George).

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by his brothers: Aldérice and Rodolphe, his step-mother, Claudia (LeBlanc) Bourque, and his half-brother, Louis Bourque (Paulette).

He attended Collège St-Joseph in Memramcook and was an avid sports fan having played hockey while at college. He was a dedicated family man and worker. Ron retired from CN (transportation dept.) in 1986 and continued until very recently working at Colpitts Men's Wear, a passion of his for over 53 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his longtime summer residence in Parlee Beach; enjoying the fresh air, working on his property, gardening and playing cards. He was very energetic, helping tourists with directions and strangers needing a place to park for a concert or for access to the beach.

A special thanks to his caregiver Carmelle.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. Visiting hours Friday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be held at N.-D.-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton) Saturday, September 20 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

Memorial donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.

Henry J. LeBlanc, C.D.
1928-2008

The death of Henry Joseph LeBlanc, Sgt. Retd., C.D., 80, occurred at his residence in Moncton on Thursday, September 18 2008.

Born in Saint-Anselme August 28 1928, he was the son of the late Adolph M. LeBlanc and Ozithe (Rosie) Cormier.

He served with distinction in the RCN from 1946-51, RCAF and CAF 1951-71, and employed from 1973 at DND Supply Depot No. 5 retiring in 1989. Henry was past president of the Dieppe Veterans Association and the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6, a Cub Leader with Boy Scouts of Canada and District Staff while serving with the military in Europe and Canada.

He is survived by three children: Linda Gaudet (Maurice) of Sussex, Andrew (Angela) of Sylvan Lake, AB, Edward (Mae) of Moncton; five grandchildren: Ronald (Lana), Michael, and Maxine of Sussex, Megan and Matthew of AB; three great-grandchildren: Jax, Raenna, and Mica; a sister, Florine Dion-Poirier of Belleville, ON; a brother, Robert (Aurel) of Moncton, a special love, June Hannan; many nieces, and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife, Viola (Surette) in 1998, a sister, Rita Robichaud; brothers: Robert and Normand.

Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's R.C. Church, Moncton, Monday, September 22 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. ONLY.

The veterans will hold a service of remembrance at Frenette's Sunday evening at 7 p.m.

Memorial donations to the Veterans Health Centre or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Maria Concetta Fazzolari
1910-2008

Maria Concetta Fazzolari, 98, wife of the late Pasquale Fazzolari of Notre-Dame and formerly of Somerville, MA passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton.

Born August 15, 1910 in Hibbing, Minnesota, U.S.A. she was the daughter of the late Louigi Albanese and the late Mariane Femeia.

She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Rose Melanson (John) with whom she resided with for the past 22 years in Notre-Dame, five grandchildren: Elizabeth, Michelle, Lisa, Tracy, Patricia; six great grandchildren: Daniella, Jake, Mathew, Alysha, Jasmin and Kory and by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Pasquale, she is also predeceased by a son Salvatore, a daughter Maria, a sister Mariane and by five brothers: Dominico, Rollo, Salvatore, Peppi and Josepe.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Dello Russo Service, 306 Main St., Medford, MA 02155 - (781)396-9200 - www.dellorusso.net on Monday, September 22nd, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, MA with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Irene Goguen
1934-2008

The passing of Irene Goguen, 74, formerly of Windsor Street, Riverview, occurred Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Dr. G.-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born January 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Marie-Anne (Roy) Goguen.

She was a retired employee with The Moncton Hospital, and enjoyed playing Bingo and darts.

She is survived by her sister, Alma Goguen of Shediac; two brothers: Ernie (Phyllis) of Riverview and Alfred (Doreen) of Moncton; a niece, Cathy Robson (Trevor) and a nephew, Todd (Janet).

Resting Monday, September 22 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton, from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 11 A.M., a reception will be held after the service followed by the interment at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

At the request of the family, memorial donations to the Dr. G.-L. Dumont Hospital or Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (Dialysis) would be appreciated.

Alma Bourque
1917-2008

Alma Bourque, 91, wife of the late Stanislas Bourque of Scoudouc passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a brief illness.

Born May 31, 1917 in Cocagne Cape, she was the daughter of the late Placide and Ursule (Cormier) Léger. She was a founding member of the Scoudouc Club d'âge d'or.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family, two daughters: Rachel King (Wayne) of McLean Crossing Road, and Monique Bourque with whom she resided in Scoudouc; a son Clarence (Angèle) of Scoudouc; two sisters: Sr. Lilianne Léger, n.d.s.c. of Moncton, and Florida LeBlanc of Clearwater, Florida; two brothers: Laurie Léger (Dorice) of New Hampshire and Irénée "Henry" Légère (Carmen) of Saint-Anicet, Québec; six grandchildren: Monette, Paulette, Bristen, Sophie, Placide and Lise; seven great grandchildren: Michel, Krystine, Jennifer, Kathrine, Erin, Naomi and Caleb; and by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Stanislas (March 17, 2006), she is also predeceased by four brothers: Philippe, Gérard, Clovis and Amand and by three sisters: Yvonne, Suzanne and Adeline.

Visitation at la Maison funéraire Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 1040 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at La Visitation R.C. Church, Grande-Digue on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment will in Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur R.C. Cemetery, Scoudouc.

If so desired, donations to the Shediac Extra-Mural or the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated.

Albert Boucher
1919-2008

Albert Boucher, 89, of Redmond Street, Moncton, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Dr-G.-L. Dumont Hospital.

Born April 1, 1919 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Lévi and Mélina (Richard) Boucher.

He was employed with Eaton's before his retirement.

He is survived by six children: Donald (Joyce), Juliette Babineau (Oswald), Oscar (Starr), Diane Melanson (Francis), Reginald, Stewart (Jackie), a daughter-in-law, Joyce, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife, Lorraine née Goguen (2006); two sons; Léonard (2004) and Roméo (2008), many brothers and sisters. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.

Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. The funeral mass will be held at N-D-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Thursday, September 25 at 10:30 a.m. . Interment will be in Cocagne.

Visiting hours Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Thursday from 9:30 until departure (10:15).

A contribution to the Dr. G.-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (Dialysis) in his memory would be appreciated by the family.
