Lauretta Martin
1915-2008
Lauretta Emily Martin, 93, wife of the late Albert Martin, of Residence Bellevue, Dieppe, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at The Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born June 13, 1915 in Duvar, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Lucy (Martin) Arsenault.
She is survived by her 11 children: Joseph "Chuck" (Della) of Moncton, Norma Frewin of Hamilton, ON, Audrey Thibodeau (Roger) of Caissie Cape, Lorraine Fitzgerald of Moncton, Diane Johnston of Halifax, Robert (Collette) of of Sarnia, ON, Ron (Darlene) of Moncton, Wayne (Jeanette) of Dieppe, Barry of Albert Co., David of Mississauga, ON, Carleen Comeau (Danny) of Charlottetown, 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 4 gr. great-grandchildren, a sister, Leona Perry of Summerside, many nieces, and nephews.
Besides her husband who died in 1987, she is also predeceased by an infant son, Eugene; four brothers: Alfred, Emile, Edouard, and Sylvere.
The family will receive condolences Thursday, October 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's R.C. Church, Moncton, Friday, October 17 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
Memorial donations to the NB Heart & Stroke or Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (Oncology) would be appreciated.
Maurice R. Caissie
1937-2008
At the Moncton Hospital, on Saturday September 13, 2008, at the age of 71, passed away Maurice Raymond Caissie, domiciled in Moncton on Cornhill Street.
Born July 22, 1937 in Lewisville, he was the son of the late Alyre Caissie and the late Ida LeBlanc.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Thérèse Thomas and Alina Leger (Léonce) of Montreal, Annette Madden (Alan) of Tide Head, Patricia Poirier (Romeo) of Ottawa, Arthur (Lucia) of Marlborough, MA and Léonard Caissie of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The mortal remains will not be displayed. An ashes burial service will take place in a few weeks.
Paul-Émile Coté
1935-2008
Paul-Émile Coté, 73, passed away surrounded by his family at his residence in Grand-Barachois on Saturday, October 11, 2008.
Born May 18, 1935 in Rimouski, Québec, he was the son of the late Narcisse and Léah (Lavoie) Coté. Mr. Coté worked as a machine operator with Irving Pulp & Paper Ltd. in Saint John for 25 years prior to his retirement. He was a 2nd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 10251, Père Edgar T. LeBlanc of Grand-Barachois.
He is survived by his wife Lucille (Bourgeois) Coté, one daughter Sylvie Chevarie (Claude) of Saint John, two sons: Robert of Calgary, AB and Eric (Lacey) of Grand-Barachois; four brothers: Donat (Majella), Gilles, Patrick and Mario (Diane) all of Rimouski, QC; six grandchildren: Trevor, Shawn, Lacey, Candice, Tyler and Jenna; and by many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive relatives and friends at la Maison funéraire Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Thursday, from 9:30a.m. until time of departure at 10:40 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at St-Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
The family has requested no flowers. Donations to the Dr. Léon Richard Oncology Center of the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
Lucie Landry
1926-2008
Lucie Landry, 82, wife of the late Joseph "Joe" Landry of Cap-Pelé passed away suddenly at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton.
Born June 6, 1926 in St. Paul-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Denis and Marie-Rose (Goguen) LeBlanc. Mrs. Landry was formerly co-proprietor with her husband Joseph "Joe" Landry of Cape Bald Packers Ltd., Cap-Pelé.
She is survived by seven children: Patrice (Aline), Roger, Paul, Marcel all of Cap-Pelé, Victor of Shediac, Denis (Rosella) of Moncton, Rose-Marie (Wayne Cormier) of Shediac Cape; three brothers: Roger LeBlanc (late Fernande) and Gérald LeBlanc (Louise) both of Bouctouche, Father Fidèle LeBlanc of Richibouctou; two sisters: Sr. Édith LeBlanc, n.d.s.c. and Denise Thellab (Albert) both of Moncton; one sister in law Dell LeBlanc of Tracadie; fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces, and nephews.
Besides her husband Joseph "Joe" who passed away July 25, 2008, one sister Sr. Marie-Victor and two brothers: Dr. Victor LeBlanc and Father Arcade LeBlanc predeceased her.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Thursday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Friday, from 2p.m. until time of departure 2:50p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 3p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2008 at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
A donation to the Ste-Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Cemetery Fund, 2648 Acadie Rd., Unit 1, Cap-Pelé, N.B. E4N1E4 would be appreciated.

Claudette M Melanson
1946-2008
After a prolonged illness on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at The Moncton Hospital passed away Claudette Marie Melanson, 62, beloved wife of Gerry Melanson.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Courageous to the end, she fought hard but now is embraced in heaven.
Born July 1, 1946 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Annie (Caissie) LeBlanc.
Besides her husband of 40 years, she is also survived by her two loving sons: Robert (Davina) of Port Williams, NS and Danny (Tanya Vautour) of Moncton; her two precious grandchildren: Kenzie and Keira; her dear brothers and sisters: Joe (Elaine) of Hudson, MA, Gerry (Edna), Yvon (Barb), Jeannine LeBlanc, Bernice Jaillet (Roger), Yvonne LeBlanc (Brian), Emerice LeBlanc (Mike) all of Moncton, Linda Leger of Riverview, and Norma LeBlanc of Alberta; many nieces, and nephews.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Friday, from 9 a.m. until departure (9:50 a.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's R.C. Church, Moncton, Friday October 24 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

Marie-Léa LeBlanc
Marie-Léa LeBlanc, (née Arsenault) of Haute-Aboujagane, born January 22nd, 1933, died peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, October 15th, 2008 surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with ovarian cancer.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years Donald, who adored and cherished her until her last breath. She leaves behind her children, Odette (Roland) Babineau of Parlee Beach, Daniel (Jocelyne) of Brossard, QC, Dr Charles (Mona) of Dieppe, André (Ian) of Ottawa, ON, Laurie (Jeanne) of Moncton and Joanne (Maurice) of Grand-Barachois. She will live forever in her children's hearts. She also leaves behind her 12 grandchildren whom she adored, Jeffrey (Rebecca), David (Dominique), Denis, Marc, Alexandre, Danica (Julien), Manon (Maxime), Jean-Michel, Melissa (Philip), Allain, Patrice and Gabrielle. She also leaves behind her brothers, Gérald (Claudette) Arsenault of Grand-Barachois and Alfred (Paulette) Arsenault of Alberta and her sister Anne-Marie LeBlanc (Henry) of Gilbert, Arizona. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law and many nephews, nieces, cousins and her dear friends.
She was predeceased by an infant son Joseph, her parents Napoléon and Mélina (née Petitpas) Arsenault, her brothers, Aquila, Lévis, Clorice, Victorien, Gilbert and her sisters, Célina and Julia Arsenault, Angela Duguay, Maria Thibodeau and Lorraine Landry.
Marie-Léa was a loving and caring spouse, mother, grand-mother and friend to all whom she encountered. She loved to feed all who visited their home, and she spoiled "her" Donald with his favorite meals. She was an avid reader and researcher and loved to paint. Being of curious nature, she took interest and cared for, all the people that she met through her 75 years. She loved to preserve al her precious memories and travels with her family and friends through photo albums and videos. She traveled with Donald to many parts of the world but her most memorable journey was to China in 2004. She was a member of the Club d'âge d'or and les Dames de Ste-Anne. Her lifetime passion was music. As the organist in her parish for over 25 years, she also coordinated music for the choir in her parish. She was an active member of the following choirs: Choral Alouette, La Fleur du Souvenir, Les Alinos and many others.
She was a homemaker all her life and in the seventies, she accompanied Donald to "La Gaspésie" where they spent the last 18 years of their working career. She loved the shore, the sounds of the waves, the rocks of the Gaspesian shore and her friends over there. Through her strong personality, her courage and infinite love of others, Marie-Léa will live on forever in our hearts.
The family will receive relatives and friends at La Maison funéraire Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) only on Sunday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home prior to the funeral on Monday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church in Haute-Aboujagane on Monday, October 20th, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
