Kimberly McLaughlin
On November 12, 2009, Kimberly Dawn McLaughlin lost her battle to cancer at age 40.
Survived by her mother Barbara Joan McLaughlin (Drummond), sister Donna Lynn McLaughlin, nephew Ryan William McLaughlin, husband Rizwan Javeri, father-in-law and mother-in-law Farouk and Nargis Javeri, brother-in-law Rehan Javeri with wife, Elizabeth, niece Alysha Javeri and nephew Zacharia Javeri, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Visitation will be at Bishops Funeral Home, on Thursday, November 19 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services to be held at the same location on Friday, November 20 at 2 pm with Rev. Robert McDowell officiating. Burial to take place at the Geary, French Lake, Waterville Cemetery.
George I. Connolly
1932-2010
Mary Lou (Connolly), Paul (Floyd) and Terry are saddened at the passing of their dad at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital, on January 17th, 2010.
George was born in Murray Road, PEI to parents George and Mary (Fitzgerald) Connolly. At an early age the family moved to New Brunswick and made their home in McAdam, NB.
A resident of Richibucto Road, George is also survived by his wife of 54 years Florence (Hoyt); grandchildren Kenzie Connolly (Bill), Emilee-Ann Paul (Andrew), Kailey Paul (Ryan) and Skylar Connolly (Aaron Norris); chosen grand daughter Sherry Vautour (Jason); great grand babies Jemma and Jesiah, Amanda Doucette (Ben) and son Hayden, Tammy Jo Arbeau (Heather); sisters Leona Bigger (late James), Marie Bigger (late Ersyl), Anita Morris (Ron) and Bonnie Pitre (Larry); brother Gerry (Phyllis); many nieces and nephews; as well as his best pal Sassy cat. Predeceased by daughter Mona (2004), grandson Michael Douglas (1976), sister Ida Blair, brothers Bernie, Clarence (Con), Channing (Chick) and Robert.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Tuesday January 19th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday January 20th at 11:00 AM from the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church and Christian Academy, Richibucto Road with Pastor Dwight McCoy officiating. Interment in the Kingsley/Seymour Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Ruby Lucinda Phillips
1939-2010
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ruby Lucinda Phillips on Monday, February 1, 2010, wife of Glendon D. Phillips, Fredericton, N.B. Born in North Clones, Queen’s Co., N.B. on February 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sarah (McKay) Mitchell.
Ruby was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church for 49 years. Ruby and Glendon enjoyed their winters in Florida and made many lasting friendships.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 49 years, Glendon; two sons Dwight (Mary Lee) of Centerville, N.B. and Roger (Robin) of Hanover, N.H.; grandchildren MacKenzie Phillips of Centerville, N.B., Darby and Christopher Phillips of Hanover, N.H.; step-grandchildren Brandie, Jeremy and Brady Underhill of Centerville, N.B.; one sister, Maudie Boyle of New Maryland, N.B.; two aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephew and cousins.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Nashwaaksis United Church, Main St., Fredericton on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating with the Rev. George Feenstra assisting.
Interment at a later date. Pallbearers for the service will be Carl Jamieson, Lonnie Blackmore, Mark Noble, Bob Colpitts, Eldon Graham and Fred Shaw.

Clifton "Kip" Donald Doherty
1926-2010
Clifton “Kip” Doherty passed away peacefully on Feb. 11, 2010 at his home in Grand Barachois. He was 83. Born in the Parish of Douglas, NB, he was a son of the late Frank and Verna (Merrithew) Doherty.
He is survived by his companion and best friend, Florine Leger; his children, Bradley (Christine) of Vancouver, BC, Paul (Suzanne) of Moncton and Leanne (Perry Romard) of Moncton; 4 grandchildren (Jason, Danielle, Jacqueline, Erin); 1 great grandchild (Delano); the mother of his children Jeannine Doherty; 1 sister Doreen (Cookie) of Fredericton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Winston and Dale.
One of Kip’s passions was sports. He loved watching baseball and hockey, The Montreal Canadians.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, Feb. 14th, 2010 at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb 15th, 2010 at 2:00 PM from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ulysse LeBlanc officiating. Interment to take place in Shediac at a later date.
Donations may be made in Kip’s memory to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of one’s choice.
Lee Joseph Polches Sr.
1934-2009
At the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on August 6, 2009, Lee J. Polches Sr. passed away at the age of 75. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of late Noel and Cecilia (Paul) Polches. For 35 years Lee was a self employed entrepreneur with St. Mary’s Tree Service. A very good provider, Lee was a proud family man who adored his wife and children. He loved camping and in his younger years was a very avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Emily “Amy”; children Edgar (Katie), Ernest, Penny (Stephen), Kareen (Mark), and Lee Jr. (Krista) all of Fredericton; grandchildren Marsha McLeod, Alex Simon, Kelsey Barteaux, Meagan Barteaux, Raven Polches, Jade Polches, Reid Polches, Tessa Polches, Mark Brooks III, Brendan Polches, Allyah Polches, Emma Polches, Stevie Hall-Polches, Joshua Polches; step granddaughters Candace and Melanie Hall; great grandsons Taybor, Connor and Cohen; special friend Stephen Williams; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his brother Richard Polches, sisters Evangeline and Norma Paul.
Visitation will be held at the late home 56 Sappier Street, St. Mary’s First Nation on Saturday and Sunday. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday August 10, 2009 from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Monte Peters officiating. Interment in the St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish memorials in Lee’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society NB Division or the Arthritis Society.
Mary Alma Sexsmith
1919-2009
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Alma Sexsmith of Fredericton on Sunday August 2, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in her 90th year. Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick on December 28 1919, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Bertha (Riley) Magoon, and wife of the late Arthur Sexsmith.
Mary is survived by her son Philip (April) of Fredericton; her sisters Kaye (Doug) Ketch of Fredericton and Marilyn Roper of Florida; 4 grandsons Vincent, Ronald and Douglas Catton of Saint John, and Michael Catton of Ontario; son-in-law George Day of Saint John; sisters-in-law Irene (Bill) Tracey, Freda Bergren and Frances (Frank) Kelly all of Saskatchewan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mary also leaves to mourn numerous faithful and loving friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Day; and siblings Helen Ingram, Elsa Williamson, and Donald Magoon.
There will be no visitation by request. Interment will be in Mactaquac United Baptist Church Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to the Fredericton SPCA, the Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation, the Red Cross, or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop’s Funeral Home, Fredericton.
Jennie Marie (Kitchen) Cochrane
1936-2010
The death of Jennie Marie (Kitchen) Cochrane of Prince William, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on February 16, 2010. Born on August 1, 1936 in Kingsclear, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian (McGuire) Kitchen and partner of Duane Fraser.
Jennie was employed at the Hartt Boot and Shoe Factory in Fredericton also the Scott McHale Shoe Factory in London Ontario as a fancy stitcher for 35 years between the two factories.
She is survived by one daughter Cindy Boulter (James) of Upper Kingsclear; six grandchildren Craig, Ryan, Jacob and Kobe Cochrane, Crystal and Britney Lukings; great grandchild Vaughn Cochrane; three brothers Eugene (Helen), Lloyd (Shirley), Arthur (Patsy) all of Kingsclear; five sisters Grace Constant of London, ON, Velma Stafford of Silverwood, Myrna Holland of Yoho, Faye Stewart (Allison) of Island View, and Gloria MacKenzie (Alistair) of Stoney Creek, ON; sister-in-law Ruby Kitchen; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, son Morris; brother Hazen; chosen brother Karl MacIntyre and also by partner Bruce Fraser in 1990.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home on Friday February 19, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. John Cathcart officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. A reception will be held immediately following the funeral, at the Upper Kingsclear Fire Hall, Mazerolle Settlement Road.
