Mary Hetty Dillon
1920-2009

The passing of Mary Hetty Dillon occurred at York Manor Nursing Home on March 15, 2009. She was 89. Born February 4, 1920 in Zealand NB, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Lillian (Brewer) Morehouse.
She is survived by four sons, James (Sheila) of Fredericton, Ray (Doreen) of Keswick Ridge, Ken (Marilyn) of Zealand, Andrew (Beverley) of Keswick Ridge; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one brother Fred Morehouse of Fredericton; two sisters Julia Estey of Fredericton, and Rena Lewis of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband Andrew William Dillon.
Visitation will take place at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Monday, March 16, 2009 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dave DuBois officiating. Interment at a later date. Contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to Marysville Baptist Church Building Fund.

Frances Millicent Brooks
1931-2009

Frances Millicent Brooks passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on April 3, 2009, wife of Willard Franklin Brooks. Born in Fredericton daughter of Charles Norman and Martha Wilson Allen of Gagetown. Survived by her husband Frank, one son Anthony McGee, one grandson Brendan McGee; two brothers Keith of Fredericton, Kenneth of Edmonton, Alberta; two sisters Marion of Edmonton, Alberta, Marjory of Surrey, BC; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and one sister Faye.
Frances was a secretary for 25 years and later did volunteer knitting at home.
At her request no visiting or funeral. Bishops Funeral Home in charge of arrangements (458-1885)

Charles R. Boone
1929-2009

The passing of Charles Robert Boone of Oromocto occurred on Friday, April 10th, 2009, at the Oromocto Public Hospital. He was 79. Born in Fredericton Junction NB, the son of the late Samuel Edward and Caroline (Horseman) Boone. A truck driver for many years with Devon Lumber, Charles enjoyed reading Western Novels and working on Jigsaw Puzzles as well as being a very loving father and best friend to his wife of 47 years Mary Christine.
Survived by wife Mary Christine Gabriel Boone; 1 daughter Roberta Ann Boone at home in Fredericton; son Roger Edward Boone of Abbotsford B.C; 2 step-children Simon Jerome Gabriel of Calgary Alberta and Harold Thomas Gabriel of Tracy N.B.; 5 grandchildren, Nigel Boone of Victoria B.C, Alison Gabriel of Halifax N.S, Joseph Gabriel (Terry Lynn) of St. Mary’s, Caitlynn Boone of Calgary Alberta, Austin Hay of Fredericton, as well as 1 great-grandson, Myles Joseph Gabriel of St. Mary’s; one cousin Mabel Delong of Saint John; 2 special nieces Jackie and Lorie of Pleasant Point, Maine USA as well as several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers John Vincent and Edward Boone, as well as 1 sister Mary Wolcott.
Respecting the wishes of Charles no visitation or funeral service will be held. Interment will take place in Saint Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Fredericton SPCA.

Garry Vaughn Fraser
1940-2009

The death of Garry Vaughn Fraser occurred on March 8, 2009, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton. Born in Nashwaak Bridge, NB on August 12th, 1940, he was the son of the late Merrill and Doreen (Hambrook) Fraser.
Garry attended Fredericton High School, Acadia University in Wolfville, NS and the Teachers College in Fredericton. He began his teaching career in Minto where he was a physical education teacher at the North Minto Junior High School.
Sports was a great passion for Garry, he loved baseball, bowling, and playing darts. He also played hockey for the Fredericton Caps in the 1960’s and was very proud he was on the team when they won the NB Intermediate A Championships in 1963-64 and the 1964 Maritime Championship. He later moved to Brantford, Ont., where he spent much of his career working for Pullman Trailmobile before moving back to Fredericton in 2008.
Garry is survived by sons; Cameron, British Columbia, Trevor Ont., and daughter Kimberly of Ont., two brothers, Aulton Fraser (Wilma) of Fredericton, Colby Fraser (Nancy) of Grand Bay and one sister, Janet Saad of Olds, Alberta, plus numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother-in-law Peter Saad.
By request, there will be no visitation, but a memorial service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Rd. on Thursday March 12th, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Boyd Vincent of Gibson Memorial Church officiating. Internment will take place at the Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.

Joseph David Michael Aloysuis Sabattis
1989-2009

It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Sabattis of Oromocto First Nation announce his passing on March 28, 2009, in Springhill, NS at the age of 19. Born in Fredericton, he was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church. Joseph worked as a labourer on the Oromocto First Nation.
Survived by his mother Sarah (Josh); father Paul (Charlene); daughter Haily; special friend Anna Meyers; brothers Kieshon and Kendall; sister Sasha; grandparents Janice Sabattis, Brian Keenan, Herbie and Sharon Colburne; great grandparents David and Estella Keenan; god parents Margaret Stennitt and Brian Sabattis; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.Predeceased by his great grandparents Levi and Janie Sabattis.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 19 Hiawatha Court, Oromocto First Nation beginning at 2:00 PM on Wednesday. Funeral service will be held Friday from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ken Weir officiating. Interment at a later date. Pallbearers will be Nik, Stephan, Kendall, Jonathan, Levi and Kevin. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew, Evan, Brian and Kevin.
For those who wish memorials may be made to the IWK Childrens Hospital.

Beatrice "Bea" Green
1938-2009

The passing of Beatrice Catherine Anne (Wood) Green of Charters Settlement NB occurred April 12, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was born in French Lake NB on January 29, 1938.
Bea retired from Thorne’s Flowers after 25 years as a floral designer during which she acquired several floral certificates.
She was a devoted member of the Stepping Stones Seniors Group, a member of the Machine Knitters Group, and the Quilters Group, a retired Sunday School Teacher and Brownie Leader, an avid Ladies Shopping Trip to Bangor member, Rabbit Towners Wednesday Morning Group at Porter’s Diner, and a member of choir at First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane.
Survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Allan Green; children; Danny (Susan) and their children, Kyle, Jordan, Ben, Steve (Gail) and their children, Malcolm, Dellica, Monica, & Virginia, Esther Bedard (Francis) and their children Aaron, Natalie, Nicole, Andy (Jillian) and their children, Greggory, Ashleigh, and Emma; five Great Grandchildren; Sister, Dorothea Lewington of BC; Brother, Donnie of Ontario; a special niece Tracey Eby (Bill); Sisters-in-law, Nancy Hodgson, Thelma Chessie; Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; special pets, Sophie & Jennie.
Predeceased by her parents, Marian Helen (Nye) and Roy Wood; beloved daughter-in-law of Minnie and Harold Green; sister-in-law Frances Kenny; brothers-in-law Donnie Green (Sylvia); Tyler Junior Hodgson.
Resting at First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane on Wednesday April 15, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will take place at the First Wesleyan Church on Thursday at 2PM with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association, or charity of the donor’s choice.

Joan Ardiss Stillwell
1935-2009

Joan Ardiss Stillwell, beloved wife of the late Robert Cleveland Stillwell passed away peacefully at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on April 9, 2009. Born January 21, 1935 in Stanley Section, NS, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Jessie (Lyons) Seamone. Joan was retired from the Royal Bank of Canada after 35 years of service and was an avid Bingo player.
Survived by her daughter Julia of Fredericton; sons Thomas of Fredericton, and David (Beth) of Saint John; brothers Gerald (Joyce) of Pinehurst, NS and Ronald (Arlene) of Stanley Section, NS; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents Joan was predeceased by a son Stephen.
Although there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday April 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating. Interment at a later date. A reception will be held immediately following the service. In Joan’s memory memorials may be made to the SPCA. A heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the wonderful staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
