Maisie Leona Tingley
1917-2003

Maisie Leona Tingley, 85, of Cape Station passed away on April 15, 2003 at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital, Moncton.
Maisie was born in Cape Station on May 5, 1917, she was the daughter of the late William Howe and Francis (Prosser) Reid. She was a dedicated wife and mother who took great pride in raising her family. She was a very active member of the Lower Cape Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Women's Missionary Society and also a lifetime member of the Lower Cape Women's Institute. Maisie always took part in all community events. She was known for her story telling and often took part in many skits, which were always good for a laugh. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who loved her family very much.
She will be deeply missed by her four daughters, Pauline Lusby (David) of Amherst, Kathy Underhill (Robert) of Riverview, Cheryl Nelson (Keith) of Hillsborough, Sandra Tingley of Sussex; three sons, Darrell Tingley of Elgin, Melvin Tingley (Muriel) of Hillsborough, Burton Tingley of Cape Station; her 14 grandchildren and her 11 great grandchildren; two sisters Mary Lou Steeves of Lower Cape, Golda Vincent (Austin) of Calhouns. Maisie will also be sadly missed by her step mother Elizabeth (Betty) Williams (John) of Cape Station and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Everett O. Tingley in 1992; a son Winston; great grandson Jared.
The remains will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, April 17th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Lower Cape Baptist Church on Friday, April 18, 2003 at 3 pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart Officiating. Internment will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape at a later date.
Donations to the Lower Cape Baptist Church or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape 734-2780

Pearl A. Lacey
1927-2007

At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 13, 2007, Pearl A. Lacey age 80 of New Maryland passed away peacefully. Born on Grand Manan, NB she was a daughter of the late Everett and Nina (Green) Ingalls. Pearl was a member of the Grace Memorial United Baptist Church, and a wonderful homemaker. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 59 years Verner Lacey; children Kendrick Lacey of Stanley, Randi Corey (Ed) of New Maryland; grandchildren Kendra Corey (Gregory) of Halifax, Aaron Corey (Cassandra) of Petawawa; sisters Mildred Rodger of Fredericton, Josie Lomax of Saint John; several nieces and nephew.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd. with visiting Monday July 16, 2007 from 3:30-5:30 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 17, 2007, Grace Memorial United Baptist Church at 2:00pm with Rev. Bob Malcolm officiating assisted by Rev. Doug Hapeman. Interment in the Faith Baptist Cemetery, New Maryland. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation NB Division.

Olive Elizabeth Morgan
1909-2007

The passing of Olive Elizabeth Morgan formerly of Marysville, NB occurred at the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB on Monday July 9, 2007. She was 98. Born March 9, 1909 in Woodlands, NB, she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Eliona Lozane (Smith) Pond. Her first husband John (Jack) Hood, her second husband, John Morgan, six brothers, Otis, Enoch, Louis, Charles, Bertram and Hazen Pond and her sisters Nettie Douglass and Katheryn Jarvis all predeceased her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Olive worked for many years as a weaver at the Marysville Cotton Mill. She was a member of the Marysville United Baptist Church, Rusagonis Lodge and the Ladies Morning Out group. She enjoyed bowling, quilting and sewing. Olive was never happier than when bouncing a baby on her knee. This remarkable lady will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Olive leaves behind her son Eldon Hood and his wife Rita of Marysville, a daughter Annie Power of Fredericton; grandchildren, Sheldon Hood (Jen), Michael Power (Jennifer), Karen Power, Kevin Saunders and Wendy Saunders; great grandchildren, Kelsie, Hannah, Bailey, Brittany, Tyson, Anik, Sam, Ben, Joe and Matt; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Thursday July 12, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held from the Marysville United Baptist Church on Friday July 13, 2007 at 2:00pm with Rev. Laurie Fenerty officiating. Interment in the Marysville Baptist Cemetery (Sandyville). Memorials to the Alzheimer Society (NB) would be appreciated by the family.

Donna R. Mansfield

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Donna R. Mansfield of Fredericton on July 28, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Caledonia NS, she was a daughter of Emily (Lewis) Mansfield and the late Clinton Mansfield. Donna worked at St Thomas University for over thirty years.
She is survived by her mother Emily Mansfield of Caledonia NS; sons Edison McEvoy of Fredericton, Raymond McEvoy (Marissa) of Rusagonis; brothers Freeman Mansfield (Cathy) of Minto, Randy Mansfield (Lorna) of Kingsley, Gregory Mansfield (Kathy) of Rusagonis; sisters Deborah Kennedy (Laurie) of Richmond Corner, Bonnie Halliday (Bob) of Caledonia NS; 3 grandchildren Tyler, Emily and Devin; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father and one brother Robert.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd. with visiting Monday July 30, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 31, 2007, from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm Rev. Jim Lewis officiating. Interment in the Rural Cemetery.For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society NB Division.

Donald Kelly
1908-2007

At the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 17, 2007, Donald Kelly, of Fredericton, formerly of Saint John, passed away at the age of 98. Born in Fairville, NB he was a son of the late Perry and Ella (Catherwood) Kelly. Donald is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He served overseas with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1942 to 1946. He then became a shoe salesman, then manager of MRA’s Department store until it’s closure in 1972. He then moved on to Kennedy’s Shoe Store until 1977. Donald was a life member of the Golden K’s.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Evelyn; one son David Kelly and his wife Linda of Fredericton; grandson Peter Kelly; granddaughter Jennifer Kelly-Milner and her husband William all of Fredericton; two nieces Joanne Miller of Saint John and Jane Hutton of Quispamsis; one nephew Donald Kelly of Saint John. Predeceased by half sisters; Flo; Lottie; Hazel and Grace and full sisters Jean; Ruth; Mary and Dorothy also by one brother Burt.
No visitation by request of the family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 21, 2007 at 11:00 am at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton with Rev Bill MacLeod officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
For those who wish memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.

Lee Eldon Brewer
1952-2007

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Lee E. Brewer age 55, of Dumfries, NB on July 17, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Harvey, NB, he was a son of Elton Brewer and the late Marie (Miller) Brewer.
Lee was a Boiler Maker with Union Local #73, Saint John, NB.
Survived by his wife Eszter (Toth) Brewer; son Corey Brewer; daughter Bridgette Brewer; father Elton Brewer; brothers Owen (Marina), Shawn (Jodi), Kent(Kathy), Wade (Marlis); sisters Gwen Brown (Mike), Carol Huntley (Murray); sister-in-law Charlene Dziedzic (Victor); numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Brian and Larry. Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd. with visiting Friday July 20, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday July 21, 2007, from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm. Interment in the Prince William Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society NB Division.

Vera Lillian Bryden

The passing of Vera L. Bryden or affectionately known as “Mrs. B” of Trites Flower Shop, Fredericton occurred Wednesday July 11, 2007 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Born in Baie Verte, NB, she was a daughter of the late Abram and Elmina (Langan) Fury and wife of the late Duncan Bryden. In 1970 she moved with her family to Fredericton where she and her husband took on the role of business owner when they operated the Carousel Card and Flower Shop on Queen St. and later purchased Trites Flower Shop on Woodstock Rd. In 2000 they combined the two businesses.
Prior to moving to Fredericton they resided in Charlottetown from 1955-1970, where they enjoyed many friends and began raising their family. Vera was employed with Maritime Electric on P.E.I. She was very proud of being instrumental in the naming of the new Presbyterian Church in Sherwood PEI which today is called St. Mark’s. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Fredericton, the Eastern Star, and the Y’s Menettes.
Vera had a great love for the sound of the fiddle ( more commonly known as kitchen music). She could be heard and seen dancing and singing along, while in the kitchen cooking up her favorite dinners and sweets.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by her daughter Lynda Lee; sons Wade (Lisa) and Roderick; 3 grandchildren Sonya, Craig and Isaiah; 2 sisters in law Alice Fury and Doris Fury; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, parents as well as brothers Winston and Ken.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Rd. with visitation on Friday July 13, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday July 14, 2007 from the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. Basil Lowery officiating. Interment will be at the cemetery in Point de Bute, NB.
