Malcolm Hiram (Mac) Daley
The passing of Malcolm Hiram Daley occurred at the Veteran's Health Unit, Fredericton, on Friday, April 11, 2003. Born in Clifton, NB on March 28, 1914, he was a son of the late Anslow and Laura (Campbell) Daley. Mac was a veteran of WWII having served overseas from 1941-1945. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was retired from Sherwin-Williams where he worked as a Production Foreman.
He is survived by son Bliss and wife June of Orangeville, Ont; daughter Doreen Adams and husband Johnny of Bramalea, Ont. and son Douglas and wife Marsha of Maugerville, NB; grandchildren Phillip, Judith, Andrew, David, Karen, Thomas, Robert and Victoria and great grandchildren Brittaney, Mark, Glenn and Haleigh; a sister Lillian Miller of Salmon Beach, NB; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife Louise (Knowles) Daley; a son Richard; sisters Joy and Ellen and brothers, Carl, Doug and Neil.
Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Saturday evening from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Gibson Memorial United Church on Sunday, April 13, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Boyd Vincent and Rev. Meredith Fraser officiating. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario on Tuesday, April 15, 2003. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to a charity of your choice.
Lorraine E. Fairweather
The passing of Lorraine Eva Fairweather of Fredericton, wife of Lee A. Fairweather, occurred at York Manor Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 14, 2003.
Born in Hampton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Checkley and Violet (Sprague) Stanley. She was the Administrative Assistant with the former Victoria Public Hospital for over 30 years.
Survived by her husband Lee; one daughter, Eva Norman RN of Vernon, BC; two sons, Wayman Fairweather of Collingwood, Ont. and Lyndon Fairweather and wife Sheila of Fredericton; three grandsons, Andrew and Michael Fairweather of Ont. and Gerald Fairweather of Fredericton; one granddaughter, Sandy (Norman) Rolfe RN of Vancouver; five great grandchildren; one niece, Joy Waycott of Brighton, Ont. Predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Phyllis and Audrey and one brother Wayman.
Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Monday, May 19, 2003 beginning at 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel. Peter Somerville, Director of Pastoral Care at York Manor, will officiate. Following cremation interment of cremains will be in the Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, NB at a later date.

Mildred H. Goldrich
The passing of Mildred H. Goldrich of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, May 26, 2003. Born in Tracy, NB, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Carrie (Phillips) Nason and wife of the late James O. Goldrich.
Mildred sold general insurance for independent firms. She was a member of the Grace Memorial United Baptist Church; a former member of the Ladies Auxillary Royal Canadian Legion, Gladstone branch no.55 Fredericton Junction for 25 years.
She is survived by a step-daughter Heather Sharp (Tony) of Weymouth, England; a step-son James W. Goldrich (Beth) of Quispamsis; a sister Vivian Nason of McAdam; a step-grandson Alexander Goldrich of Quispamsis; two sisters-in-law Evelyn Nason and Dorothy Nason; a brother-in-law Tom Morris; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; sisters Effie, Pearl, Eunice, Dorthea, Helene, Jennie and Louise; brothers Foster, Winford, Gordon, Alexander and Tennyson.
Resting at the Tracy United Baptist Church Family Centre on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Tracy United Baptist Church on Thursday May 29, 2003 at 2:00 pm. With Rev. James Harrison and Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating.

Eldon O. Urquhart
1942-2007
A long time resident of New Maryland, Eldon passed away peacefully on August 14th, 2007, at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital from Cancer.
Born October, 1942 in Moncton, N.B. Eldon was the son of Omer and Doreen (Mullin) Urquhart. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Ann (Snowdon) and their four children; Daughter-Susan (Martin) Green of Boxborough, Massachusetts and their children Alex and Brittany; Daughter-Marcia (Kevin) Nicklin of Minto, N.B. and their daughters Alicia and Alana; Daughter-Diane (Jeremy) Meyer of Taymouth, N.B. and their children Cassidy and Jalen; Son-Jason (Susana Serano) of Ottawa, Ontario. He is also survived by three brothers-Allison, Terry and Mark. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother Harold, and infant sister Deborah.
He was a Professional Accountant (C.M.A.) spending four years in private industry before entering the Provincial Government for 28 ˝ years in the Departments of Education, Social Services and Supply & Services. He completed his career as a self-employed accountant and auditor. He enjoyed his profession, working with the staff and balancing anything that involved numbers. His auditing was mostly in the field of Non-Profit Organizations within the Fredericton area.
Eldon always said that he grew up on a farm and was at all times just a small time country lad. He expressed that in his manner, his approach to people, and his love of the outdoors. His hobbies over the years included gardening, camping, softball, skiing, badminton, cards, golfing, bowling, and curling.
Eldon was recently a member of Carmen Creek Golf Club, Capital Winter Club, Kingswood Seniors Tuesday Bowling & Monday Night Cards in New Maryland.
Eldon will be cremated, with the ashes being spread in many of his favorite spots. Visitors wishing to pay their respects to the family may do so at Bishop’s Funeral Home located on the Woodstock Road, Fredericton on August 17th, between 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
By his request there will not be a service. Eldon, being a dog lover, wished that donations be made to the Fredericton SPCA Animal Shelter, Hilton Rd., or any other cause that the donor wishes.
Arrangements are entrusted to Bishops Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road.
Alice E.O. McFarland
On Monday, August 27th, 2007, Alice E.O. McFarland of Fredericton passed away at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital at the age 89. Born in Millville, NB she was a daughter of the late Beverly and Jane (Staples) Barnett and wife of the late Alvin L. McFarland. Alice was a homemaker and affiliated with the Devon Park Baptist Church.
Survived by daughters Patricia West (Laurie) of Fredericton, Laurel Wilkins (Myles) of Waasis Rd.; sons Beverley of Fredericton, Ellery (Sonya) of Kitchener, Ont.; brother Edward Ferris of Fredericton; sisters Margaret Saunders and Kathleen Taylor both of Fredericton; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Sharon Eveline; brothers Lewis and Hazen; sisters Gladys, Viola, Lucy, Queenie, and Myrtle.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 29, 2007 at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Rd. from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday August 30, 2007 at 2:00 pm from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Rd. with Pastor Mark Noel officiating. Interment will be in the Rural Cemetery Extension.
Memorials to a charity of the donor’s would be appreciated by the family.
Harry Woodford Dunphy
1911-2007
The death of Harry Woodford Dunphy occurred January 21st 2007 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Nashwaak Village, Harry was the son of the late Woodford (Jennie Mae Gordon) Dunphy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Harry was a graduate from the Guelph Agricultural College. During the Second World War he was a butter and cheese producer. Following his dairy years he was a carpenter until retirement. He was a deacon, Sunday school Superintendent and a charter member of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church, and Capital Credit Union.
He is survived by his 2 sons Paul (Judith) and Carl (Brenda) Dunphy all of Fredericton; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Harry was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years Beatrice “Betty” Hanson, one daughter Patricia, son in law Angus Mattatall, four sisters and two brothers.
There will be no visitation by request of the family. The funeral service will be held from Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Friday January 26th 2007 at 2 Pm with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating.

Doug R. Titus
1934-2007
The passing of Doug R. Titus of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday February 4, 2007 at the age of 72. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of Faye (Newman) MacDonald and the late Arthur Titus.
Baptist by faith, Doug was a welder for L&A Machine Works until his retirement.
Surrounded by his loving family he is survived by his wife Frances; two daughters Debbie Boudreau (Bob) of Mazerolle Settlement, Judith Schaap (John) of Airdrie, Alta.; two sons Robert Jewett (Cindy) and Wayne Jewett (Lynn) all of Fredericton; 9 grandchildren Derek Boudreau, Andrew Jewett, Jenna, Ashley and Katerina Schaap, Alexandrea and Maggie Jewett, Melinda Brown and Jennifer Brown; 1 great grandson Kade Robert Schaap; sister Winnifred Parker of Fredericton; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Ruth (Higgins) Titus, four brothers Darrell, Donnie, Artie, and Allison.
Resting at Bishops Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Rd. with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held from Bishops Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 2pm with Rev. Lawrence Meade officiating. Interment will be held in the Sunny Bank Cemetery in the spring.
For those who wish memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society NB Division, NB heart and Stroke Fund or charity of the donors choice. Honorary pallbearers will be Sandy Jewett, Alex Jewett, David Caissie, Andy Jewett, Brian Titus, Richard Betts.
