Gary Robert Boreland
At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday July 22, 2003 Gary Robert Boreland of Fredericton passed away at the age of 49. Born in Fredericton and employed as a mechanic, he was a son of the late Benson and Ruth (Hazlett) Boreland.
He is survived by 2 sons Damon of Fredericton, Tyler of Edmonton, Alberta; his fiance Terry; 3 sisters Darlene Grant (Hazen), Linda Bridgeo (Mike) and Katherine Collicot (Chris); 6 brothers Benson Boreland Jr. (Mary), Kenneth (Evelyn), Douglas (Mary), Timothy, Steven (Lori) and Terry (Penny); his fiance Terry’s children Joel, Amanda, Christie, Patrick & grandchild Bronte; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The memorial service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2003 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held at a later date.
Jacob W. Brooks
The passing of Jacob Waterbury Brooks of Fredericton occurred Wednesday, July 16, 2003.
He was 29. Born in Fredericton, he was a son of Jim and Alma (Waterbury) Brooks.
Jacob is survived by his wife Sabrina Wright; two sons, Spencer and Derek; his parents; three sisters, Letha Barton (Tom), Tara Brooks and Dana Brooks (John) all of Fredericton; two brothers, John Antony Brooks (Melinda) and Leonard Brooks (Sonya) both of Fredericton; one uncle, Peter Sappier (Mary); three aunts, Barb Paul, Shirley Brooks (Eric), Hazel MacMillian, Jean Paul (Leslie) and Julie Lane. Also survived by seven nephews and nieces, Mac, Toni, Katelyn, Allie, Brandon, Matthew and Jamie.
Resting at the home of his parents, Jim and Alma Brooks, 50 Maliseet Drive, Fredericton, on Thursday and Friday with the funeral service taking place at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, on Saturday, July 19, at 12:05 noon with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment to take place in the St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service will be; Trevor Paul, Kenny Sacobie, Harold and Shawn Paul, Jay Brooks and Joey Bear. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Bruce and Chris Paul and Nelson Rose.

Kathleen Blanche (nee Nash) Cain
Kathleen Blanche Cain passed away at her home in Fredericton on July 2, 2003 following a lengthy illness.
Born at Maquapit Lake, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (nee Lyons) Nash.
Survived by her husband, Patrick Cain; a daughter Patricia Bremner (John); sons, Dr. Leo Cain (Michelle) and Mark Cain (Denise) all of Fredericton; three grandchildren, Michael, Brittany and Abbey; a sister Greta Atyeo of Maquapit Lake; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Friday, July 4, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 10:00 AM. Interment at a later date.
Emily Vera Hetherington
The passing of Emily Vera Hetherington of Waasis, NB occurred on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was 80. Born April 16, 1923 in Ochre Cove Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Follett) Dwyer. A retired seamstress, she also was a hospital sitter at the former UPH, DECH and Oromocto Hospital’s, as well as a member of the Lincoln United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her Husband John ( Kingfisher); one daughter: Nancy P Hetherington of Waasis, one son: Paul J. Hetherington and wife Nance A of Rusagonis, 3 Grandchildren: Matthew Robin Hetherington, Chalene Ogilvie, Cole Hetherington, 2 sisters; Lillian Liddy of Saint John and Gladys Ough of Saint John. As well as several nieces, nephews, two aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, a son Thomas and a brother William Wallace Dwyer.
There will be no visitation. A graveside committal service will be held at the Waasis Cemetery on Thursday, July 17 at 1pm. Rev. Delbert Tibbets to officiate. The family has requested no flowers, but memorials may be made to any charity of your choice.

Walter Edison Brooks
The passing of Walter Edison Brooks occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Thursday, July 17, 2003. He was 81.
Born in Gagetown, he was a son of the late Walter and Lulu (McKee) Brooks. He graduated from Gagetown Grammar School and was a member of Grace United Church, Gagetown all his younger life. Later, he and his wife Betty made Marysville his home and was an active member of Marysville United Church serving on occasion as a Lay Pastor. Edison served with the R.C.A.F. during WWII as a Corporal and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #15, Marysville. He worked for many years as an Electrician.
Surviving are his wife Florence Elizabeth (Betty) (Campbell) Brooks; a brother James O. Brooks of Fredericton; a sister May Merrill of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Percy and Ralph.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mac Campbell officiating. Interment in the Marysville United Church Cemetery.
Linda Joy Burke
At the Dr. Everett Chalmers regional Hospital on September 6, 2003, Linda J. Burke of Fredericton passed away at the age of 44.
Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of Harvey Stewart and the late Jeanette (Barry) Stewart.
Linda was Roman Catholic by faith and was employed with M.S.N. Cleaning.
Survived by her husband William; two sons, Billy-Joe at home and Danny Jardine of Blackville; one daughter, Kelly Gallon (Craig) of Blackville; three grandchildren, Dominick, Harley and Jenica; three sisters, marina Connors (Ralph) of Williams Lake, BC, Bonnie Nicholson (Charles) of Lincoln and Rose Stewart (Dale Curtis) of Blackville; three brothers, Robert Stewart (Debbie) of Geary, Bruce Stewart of Lincoln and Sidney Stewart (Wendy Carr) of Geary; a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two children, Theo Stewart and Bonnie Jean Stewart, a granddaughter Caissie; sisters Irene and Debbie; brothers Harvey, Lenord and Lincoln.
Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 2:00 PM with Father Ken Weir officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date.
Caden Caissie-Simms
Infant son of Christopher Simms and Lori Caissie and brother to Cooper passed away Friday, September 5, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. A private service will be held.
