Mary Theresa Morris
1945-2006
The passing of Mary Theresa Morris occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 3, 2006. She was 61. Born May 18, 1945 in Montreal, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Muriel M. (Stephens) Kennedy. Mary was a school teacher having received her B.A. Degree from Marianopolis College in Montreal, her B. Ed. Degree at St. Joseph’s Teachers College in Montreal and her Master of Arts Degree at St. Michael’s College, Winooski, Vermont, USA. Mary was a parishioner of St. Dunstan’s Roman Catholic Church in Fredericton and was a member of the C.F.U.W. and volunteered at “Cultures Boutique”, Fredericton, for many years.
Mary is survived by David E. Morris, her husband of 35 years; a son Andrew David Morris (Fay) of Fredericton, a daughter Heather Mary Long (Andrew P.) of Riverview, NB; one grandson, Weston Andrew Long and one brother Andre Kennedy of Ottawa, Ont.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton where visitation will be held Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from St. Dunstan’s Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton, on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Father Gerry White will officiate. Interment in Saint John, NB at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Leona M. Wilcox
The passing of Leona Marie (Guitard) Wilcox, of New Maryland, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the age of 78.
Born in Belledune, NB, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Paul and Elizabeth (Chamberlain) Guitard. Leona was a retired office worker with Elmo Canada of Brampton, Ontario and a member of St’s John and Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband Max; 1 sister Regina Guitard of Bathurst; a sister-in-law Charlotte; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; four sisters Bernice, Mary, Marion and Emma; five brothers Emile, Reginald, Arthur, Charles and Dennis.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Friday from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Sts John & Paul Roman Catholic Church on Saturday September 20, 2003 at 2:15 pm with Father Ralph McRae officiating. Interment will be held at St. Columbia Catholic Cemetery in Fredericton Junction following the service. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Kenneth Paul McGrath
Kenneth P. McGrath, 56, passed away September 11, 2003 in Thailand, Bangkok of heart failure. Ken was born October 15, 1946 in Newcastle, NB. At a young age he began a successful career as an engineer for Ontario Hydro, working at both Lakeview and Nanticoke Power Stations. In 1976, he began the first of many years working overseas as an engineer and consultant, first in Lagos, Nigeria, and then to Johannesburg, South Africa; Venezuela; Singapore; Malaysia and Thailand.
Surviving relatives include his mother Patricia Gunter, step-father Walter Gunter, sister Louise, Marilyn Anne mother of his children Kimberly Anne and Keri Lynn, grandson Jordan Paul and his father Stehan, Aunt Inez, son-in-laws Alex and David, and companion Nora, and her son Sean.
Loved dearly by his family and friends, the memory of Ken’s warm smile, determination, and kind infectious spirit will remain in the hearts of many. Kenneth’s legacy and spirit will live on and forever shine through his daughters Kimberly and Keri Lynn, and grandson Jordan
A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held Monday September 22, 2003 at 2:00 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Whites Cove, NB In lieu of flowers, his daughters have requested that memorial donations be made in his name. Jane Margaret Connors
August 4, 1916 - September 23, 2003
Jane Margaret Connors of Fredericton, New Brunswick, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on September 23, 2003. She was surrounded by her family.
Born in Quarryville, New Brunswick, on August 4, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Weddall and Ada (MacDougall) Connors. She was predeceased by her brothers, Andrew Connors of Oakville, Ontario, Blair Connors of Quarryville, New Brunswick and one sister, Christina Flett (Cecil) of South Nelson, New Brunswick.
She is survived by her daughter, Mexicana Briggs of Fredericton, New Brunswick; granddaughters Sherry Lahaie (Denis) of Fredericton and Katherine Ingalls (Lawrence) of St. George, New Brunswick; three great granddaughters, Victoria and Erica Ingalls and Monique Lahaie; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Jane was a longtime employee of the Victoria Public Hospital. Her life was to bring joy to others and improve their quality of life, particularly her family.
There will be no visitation or service by her request. Donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice, through Bishop’s Funeral Home.
Ada E. Armstrong
The passing of Ada Emily Armstrong of Fredericton occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Friday September 19, 2003.
She was 94. Born in Coles Island, NB on May 30, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Prudence (Camp) Chapman. Her husband, J. Harold Armstrong predeceased her in 1967. Ada was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Fredericton.
She is survived by one sister, Evelyn Griffin of Saint John, NB; one nephew, John Griffin and his wife Nancy of Darlings Island and many grand nieces & grand nephews.
Predeceased by her parents and husband also two brothers, Charles and Ralph and sisters Florence Chandler and Ethel Stephenson.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday at 2:00 pm. Rev. Paul Fosmark will officiate assisted by Rev. Doug Adamson. Interment in the Rural Cemetery Extension. Memorials to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Lionel J. Badeau
The death of Lionel Badeau of Mazerolle Settlement, NB, husband of the late K. Germaine (Boyce) Badeau occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, on Saturday, July 12, 2003. Mr. Badeau was born January 20, 1929, in Lac Mégantic, Québec. He was a son of the late Victor Badeau and Marie Louise Lavallée. He was employed for 30 years with the Province of New Brunswick. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Fredericton. He was a Past Grand Knight and an Honorary Life Member of Council 1942 of the Knights of Columbus, a Past President of the Capital Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society and a member of la Société de généalogie de Québec.
He is survived by four daughters, Mary-Ellen Badeau, Anne-Marie Pond (Leland), Rose Green (Robert) and Julie Tapley (Floyd); two sons, Victor Badeau (Jeanne) and Edward Badeau (Nathalie); seven grandchildren, Daniel (Sheri), Andrew and Nicole Green, Emilie Badeau, Ryan Tapley, Kathleen and Meaghan Pond; five sisters, Denise McCarthy (Robert), Juliette Coholan (Donald), Louise Hebert, Margaret Wallace (Joseph), Claire Gogan (David) and one brother, Real Badeau (Margaret). He was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanne Theriault and Cecile Boyce and five brothers, Robert, Emile, Rosaire, Leo and Roger Badeau.
Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd., Fredericton on Sunday, July 13th from 7–9 pm and on Monday, July 14th from 2–4 pm and from 7–9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 1pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hanwell Rd., Fredericton with Fr. Ralph McRae officiating. Internment will be in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hanwell, NB. The family requests people refrain from wearing perfume, cologne or other scented products at the visitation and funeral due to allergies. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
Lena Vroom
The passing of Lena Vroom occurred at her home in Fredericton on Sunday, July 20, 2003. She was 77. Born in Rosedale, NB, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Faye (Hendry) Vroom. She was a secretary with the Maritime Forest Ranger School.
Survived by her children Jeff Vroom and his wife Sandra of Truro, NS, Janice Vroom of Fredericton; 2 grandchildren Matthew and Jonathan Vroom; a brother Weldon Vroom and his wife Marion of Fredericton; a sister Marjorie Gray of Niagara Falls, Ontario; nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held from the First Wesleyan Church on Duncan Lane on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating. Interment to follow in the Rural Cemetery Extension. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the NB Lung Association.
