Shirley Steeves
1952-2016

Shirley Elizabeth Steeves, 64, of Elgin passed away Thursday October 27, 2016 at home. Born in Moncton she was a daughter of Ernest and Myra (Henry) Seely. A homemaker, Shirley was Anglican by faith and before her illness, took great pride in her flower gardens but was happiest spending time with family especially her grandchildren.
Survived and sadly missed by her parents Ernest and Myra Seely of Salisbury, her loving husband of 46 years Terry, children Shawna Fry (Rick) of Moncton, Marsha Taylor (Bryce) of Salisbury, Cory of Elgin and grandchildren Paige, Alyssa and Noah. Survived also by sisters Betty Lou Gautreau (late Fred) of Havelock, Cheryl Broad (Donald) of Bath and brother William Seely of Havelock and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant brother and sister.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Saturday 7-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the Chapel Sunday October 30 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Chris Hayes officiating. Interment at the Elgin Cemetery.
If desired memorials to the Canadian Diabetic Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Gladys Cook
1912-2009

Gladys May Cook, 97, of Moncton and formerly Fredericton passed away peacefully Friday May 22, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Bayfield she was a daughter of the late Martin and Alice (Allen) Trenholm.
Gladys faithfully and gently served her community through churches to which she belonged. Whether in Sackville, Salisbury or New Maryland, she was willing to lend support through quiet and meaningful gestures. She did not seek public recognition or applause for herself, but took great pride in the accomplishments of her son and family. Her reputation for home-cooked meals made her the first stop for visitors, who were never disappointed with her freshly baked gingerbread. Her seven great-grandchildren knew there would always be a tasty treat in the candy cupboard.
Remembered and sadly missed by her daughter in law Donna Colwell (Charles) of Fredericton; granddaughter Valerie Marshall (Martin) of Fredericton; grandsons Gordon Cook (Pamela) of Petitcodiac, Colin Cook (Joy) of Moncton; great grandchildren Ruth, Melora, Jared, William, Julia, Matthew and Aaron and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Vaughn, her son Rev. Dr. David Cook; sisters Florence and Ruth; brothers Penman, Edward and Mennel.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday May 25 from 11 a.m. … 12 p.m. The Funeral will follow in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Matthews officiating assisted by Rev. Gordon Cook and Rev. Colin Cook. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
If so desired memorials to the Atlantic Baptist Mission Board or the Gideon’s would be appreciated by the family.

Bertha B. Duncan

Bertha B. Duncan, 92, of Salisbury passed away on May 12, 2009 at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital Moncton.
Born in Salisbury she was the daughter of the late Humbert G. and Arabella (Campbell) Colpitts.
Bertha was a member of Salisbury Baptist Church, SBC Sunday School, Myrtle Bannister WMS and was a Dominion Life Member of the UBWMU. She bowled in the Parklane Seniors League, attended Monday Morning Merrymakers and the Salisbury Golden Age Club.
Bertha worked at Eaton’s, Lockhart Woodworkers, taught at Salisbury Regional High School and ended her career as bookkeeper at Salisbury Pharmacy Ltd. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, gardening, camping and snowmobiling.
She is survived by son Lonald Taylor (Ann) of Mill Bay, B.C. and daughter Nancy Duncan of Salisbury; grandchildren Karen, Jennifer (Markus) and Jon (Kerry); great grandchildren Reegan, Caelan, Charlotte and Sophie; and sister-in-law Edna Knowlton.
She was predeceased by her first husband Roy Taylor (1942) and her second husband Gilbert Duncan (2003); a daughter Carol (1940); a grandson Jordan Taylor (1969); brother Leslie Colpitts; sisters Edith Somers and Lena Tingley.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visitation on Friday, May 15th from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Salisbury Baptist Church on Saturday, May 16th at 11 am with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment following in Pine Hill Cemetery.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Pine Hill Cemetery or the charity of donor’s choice.

Wayne Bustin
1943-2016

Wayne Thomas Bustin, 73, of River Glade passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, September 26, 2016.
Born in Portage Vale, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Kelly) Bustin of Petitcodiac. Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and friend to those who knew him. He ran his own construction business for a number of years and was always there to help no matter the time or place. Wayne was a member of the Petitcodiac Sportsman Club and was very passionate about wildlife and conservation in the area. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, four wheeling, and living life to the fullest. There was no greater pleasure for Wayne then to have the whole family over, just being there together was the greatest gift for him.
He is survived and will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years Thelma (Bannister); his mother Elizabeth of Petitcodiac; children Gregory (Barb), River Glade, Tony (Pam), Calgary, Cynthia, Toronto, and Terry (Tammy), River Glade; brothers Ted (Eleanor), Portage Vale, and Hal (Linda), Riverview; thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Timothy (1991). Wayne's legacy will live on through the eyes and stories told, passed down from generation to generation, never to be forgotten.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Wednesday, September 28, 6 to 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Thursday, September 29 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lloyd O'Blenes officiating. Interment to follow at Anagance Cemetery.
If desired, donations to the New Brunswick Wildlife Trust Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Albert & Carolyn Jones
1936-2009

A private family graveside service will be held Friday May 29 for Albert (Ab) and his wife Carolyn (Carol) Jones on what would have been their 39 th wedding anniversary who both passed away in March of this year at the River Glade Cemetery with Pastor Lloyd O’Blenes officiating. A public reception and memory sharing time will follow at 12 noon at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800).

Raymond Allen

Raymond George (Ray) Allen, 59, of River Glade passed away Tuesday May 19, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born in Petitcodiac he was a son of the late George and Shirley (Weatherbee) Allen. A truck driver for many years Ray was presently employed with Cavendish Agri Services in Salisbury. He enjoyed the outdoors especially camping trips and family gatherings.
Survived by his beloved wife of nearly 42 years the former Linda Duncan; their children Carol Allen of River Glade, Holly Atkinson (Barry) of The Glades, Shelley Czepiel (Shawn) of West Field Mass., Raymond Jr. (Sonny) (Amanda) of Moncton; five cherished grandchildren; a great granddaughter; sisters Pat Allen, Pam Lewis and Cindy Totton; brothers Lewis and Stephen Allen and several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Predeceased by a grandson Allen.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday 7-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held Friday May 22 at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating. Interment will follow at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
If desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated.

Abigail Gray
1993-2011

Abigail Raven Gray, 18, of Intervale passed away Thursday December 22, 2011 in Petitcodiac by accident.
Born in Moncton she was the daughter of Gerry and Judith (Blackmore) Gray. A graduate of J.M.A. Armstrong High School, Class of 2011, she was employed with Tim Horton's in Salisbury. Abigail was interested in photography and was passionately involved with TADD (Teens Against Drunk Drivers). Family was most important to Abigail and she was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin.
Survived and sadly missed by her parents Gerry and Judith of Petitcodiac, brothers Zane of Halifax, MacKenzie at home; paternal grandmother Kay Gray (late Patrick) of Rexton; maternal grandmother Leah Blackmore (late Jed Jr.) of Bathurst. Survived also by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday 7-9 p.m.. A Celebration of Abigail's Life will be Tuesday December 27 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel.
