Donna Blakney
1946-2016
Donna Kathleen Blakney, 70, of Colpitts Settlement passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Sunny Brae, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Hilda (Leaman) Blakney. Donna was a caregiver with the Havelock Boys & Girls Club and she enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles, being with family and friends, but most of all loved spoiling her granddaughter.
Survived and sadly missed by her daughter Pam Beaulieu (Elvis) of Salisbury; granddaughter Tiffany Beaulieu; brothers Ronald Blakney (June) of Mississauga, ON and Gerald Blakney (Edna) of Cherryvale; common-law spouse Chester Cox of The Glades and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Alvin and Michael Blakney.
There is no visiting by request. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 23, 2 pm at Five Points Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800).
If desired, donations to the Lung Association or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
Mrs. Elsa Mertinat
1909 - 2001
Mrs. Elsa Mertinat, of Berwick Place, and formerly 11 Pitt St., Sussex, New Brunswick passed away at Sussex Health Centre on April 17, 2001.
Born in Berlin, Germany on August 22, 1909, she was the daughter of the late William Schulz and Johanna (Schulz) Thomas.
She was the beloved wife of the late Louis V.B. Mertinat who passed away in 1989.
Elsa is survived by Daughter - Renate and husband John Bampton of Marshall Hill Road. Sister - Kate Strohmeyer of Germany. Grand daughters - Susan Mertinat of Marshall Hill and Doris Fahey and her husband Ralph of Truro, NS. 3 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter and 2 nephews, several great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday 7-9 at Wallace Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Kevin Vincent officiating. Interment at Kirk Hill Cemetery in the Spring.
Donations made to the Apohaqui Community Church or the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
Norman Prosser
1938-2010
Prosser, Norman Wentworth, 72, of Havelock passed away Sunday December 5, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Petitcodiac he was a son of the late David and Ella (Crandall) Prosser. In his early working years he was employed as a power engineer and retired as a self employed mechanics tool supplier. He was a member of the Havelock Baptist Church, an active member and past King Lion of the Havelock Lions Club, member of the Havelock Sportsman Club and an executive member of the Petitcodiac Riding of the P.C. Party. Time spent with family especially his cherished grandchildren was most important to him. If you were lucky enough to be Norm's friend he was your friend for life.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years Carol (Atkinson); his children Janet Firth (Peter) of Elmira On., Shelly Reisdorf (David) of Burnaby B.C., Todd (Angela) of Prince George B.C., Michelle MacDonald (Jason) of Grand Barachois; 12 grandchildren, a great granddaughter; his brother David (Isabel) of River Glade and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a brother Raymond and a sister Wilma Rodgers.
Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross St. (534-2600) with visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Havelock Baptist Church on Friday December 10 at 2 p.m., Rev. Bill Parks officiating with interment at the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.
Memorials if desired to the Greenhill-Loyalist Cemetery Fund or the Diabetic Society.
Donald Carll
1947-2011
Donald Ernest Carll, 64, of Mechanic Settlement, passed away at home Friday, June 3, 2011.
Born in Petitcodiac, he was a son of the late Andrew and Lena (Geldart) (Lockhart) Carll. Donald was a retired electrician with NB Power. He graduated from the former Salisbury Regional High School and was an avid snowmobiler and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived and missed by his sister Lois Scouse (Bob) of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. Donald is predeceased by two infant brothers; brother Robert; sister in law Florence and niece Charlene Scouse.
Family will receive relatives and friends at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) Sunday, June 5 at 1 pm with the Funeral Service following at 2 pm. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
Miriam Shirley Sears
1939-2016
Miriam Shirley Sears, 77, of the Silver Fox Special Care Home, Salisbury passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her residence.
She was born in St. John's, NL and she had been a nurse at the Sackville Hospital.
Miriam is survived by her daughter Natalie Sears (Don Leaman) of Salisbury; one granddaughter Desiree Leaman and nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents and common-law spouse.
There is no visiting or service by request. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home & Crematorium (372-4800).

Mr. “Harry” John Henry Nickerson, of Main Street Sussex, New Brunswick passed away at Sussex Health Centre on April 1, 2001
Born in Rollinsford, New Hampshire on April 9, 1912, he was the son of the late William A. and Bessie (Harrison) Nickerson.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Allena (Murray) Nickerson, his children; Ferne and her husband Rev. Jim Lewis of Rusagonis, NB, Ruby McCluskey of Saint John, Doris Carr of Sussex, Ruth Nickerson and Jim Cobham of Saint John, Marsha Ellis of Saint John, Rev. John Nickerson and his wife Corrine of Nigera, Donald Nickerson and Lori Maillett of Ammon, NB, Lois (Peggy) and her husband Sid Daniel of Quebec, Linda and Rev. Warren Shalm of Napanee, Ont., 1/2 sister Carroll Berden of BC. 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
Harry was predeceased by 3 brothers Clarence, Bill, Frank and by his sister Fannie Field
Harry served overseas during WWII with the Princess Louise's 8th Hussars

Sybil Margaret Norrad

Mrs. Sybil Margaret Norrad, of Regal Drive, Quispamsis, New Brunswick assed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on April 4, 2001 born in Parlee Brook New Brunswick on March 10, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Adair) Snyder.
She was the beloved wife of the late Allwyn E. Norrad who passed away in 1981.
Sybil is survived by 5 sons, Ansel of Quispamsis with whom she has made her home, Cecil (Paul) of Quispamsis, Bert and Jack both of Sussex, Cyril (Dale) of Attleboro, Mass., 5 daughters, Gerry, Zona and Ruby all of Sussex, Darlene of Edmonton, Alberta and Nancy of Quispamsis, 3 sisters, Vera of Sussex, Blanche of Glebe Road and Stella of Parlee Brook numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Sybil is predeceased by 2 brothers, Harry and Warren and a sister Elsie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Sybil’s request no visitation will be held. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Thursday, April 5, 2001 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Bob Hussey officiating. Interment at Trinity Cemetery
