Reginald Gardner
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Reginald Gardner, 83, of Boundary Creek, Thursday January 3, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Folkstone England he was a son of the late Percy and Florence (Sutton) Gardner. Reg retired from Canada Post in Moncton and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years Shirley (Bishop); son Peter of Boundary Creek; daughters Debbie Cole (Lee) of Salisbury, Cindy Horsman (Steven) of Lewis Mountain; grandchildren Christopher Cole, William and Victoria Gardner and Tamara Horsman; great grandson Kaleb Hopper; a sister Rose Martin of England; brother in law Wayne Bishop and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant granddaughter Sabrina Horsman and a sister in law Audrey Tait.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday January 7 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
If desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
Frank Leslie Simpson
April 25, 1921 - March 12, 2001
Mr. Frank Leslie Simpson, of Green Meadow Special Care Home, formerly of Keirstead Mt., New Brunswick, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on March 12, 2001 born in Snider Mt. NB on April 25, 1921, he was the son of the late William and Lottie (Cameron) Simpson.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mollie H.L. (Burns) Simpson who passed away in 1987.
Frank is survived by his son David and his wife Margaret of Saint John a step grand daughter Theresa White of Saint John 2 sisters-in-law Dorothy and Agnes Simpson of Sussex his brother in law Burton Clements of Sussex, several nieces and nephews
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Frank served with the Canadian Army during WWII. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 and was a retired lumberman
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 at Wallace Funeral Home. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 will hold a tribute Wednesday evening at 6:45.
Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 15, 2001 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. David Barrett officiating. Interment will take place at Highfield Cemetery in the spring.
Donations made to a Living Memorial would be appreciated by the family.
Marie Juanita Harrison
1952-2016
Marie Juanita Harrison, 63, of Salisbury, and originally from Havelock, passed away at the Moncton Hospital Saturday, September 17, 2016.
Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Harriet (Stewart) Demont. Marie was a homemaker and she loved crafts, cross stitch and her dogs.
She is survived and sadly missed by her son Tony, Salisbury; daughter Dianna Cochrane (Billy), Second North River; brothers Karl Demont (Joanne), Moncton and David Demont, St. Stephen; grandchildren Robert, Violet and Jenny; husband, from whom she was separated, Roy Titus and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Robert; infant daughter Alice; sons Robert and Lloyd and brothers Sheldon, Lloyd and James Demont.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Wednesday, September 21 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel Thursday, September 22 at 11 am with Rev. Tim MacKinnon and Pastor Robb Hunt officiating. Interment at First North River Baptist Cemetery.

Doreen Armstrong
Mrs. Doreen Mildred Armstrong, of Lower Cove, passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on May 2, 2002. Doreen was born in Drury's Cove on December 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Margaret (Munroe) Perkins. She is survived by Bud her beloved husband of 47 years, her son Brian (Doug) and his wife Debbie of Lower Cove, 2 daughters, Joanne of Sussex and Jill Meraw and her husband Kenny of Red Deer, Alberta, 3 brothers Ken Perkins and his wife Frances of Welsford, Roy Perkins and his wife Anne of Sault Ste. Marie, Ronald Perkins and his wife Vondelle of Fairvale, 4 grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Eric and Caleigh, several nieces and nephews.
Doreen was predeceased by her brothers George, Lloyd, Lawrence, Donald, Ralph and sisters Doris, Florence and Marjorie.
Doreen was a member of the Silas James United Church, the UCW, a former member of the 4H Club, and a former member of WMS.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday 2-4 and 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Silas James United Church on Sunday, May 5, 2002 at 4:00 pm, with Pastor Linda Fuller officiating, with the committal service at Trinity Cemetery. There will be a time of fellowship with the family following the committal service at Centennial Hall in Apohaqui.
Donations made to the Silas James United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
Hellen Dunphy Fry
1922-2011
Hellen Dunphy Fry, 88, of the Villa du Repos, Moncton, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Montreal, QC Hellen was a daughter of the late James and Rachel (Hooppelle) Dunphy. She was a homemaker, a member of the St. John's Anglican Church and ACW. Hellen was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her children Jef (Cheryl) of St. Catherines, ON, Rick (Shawna) and Ronald both of Moncton; sister Sheryl Baker (Howard) of Ottawa, ON; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Hellen is predeceased by husband Milton; daughter Patricia; sister Peggy and brothers Donald, Robert and James.
There is no visitation by Hellen's request. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 20 at 1pm from the St. John's Anglican Church, Salisbury with Rev. Dick Black officiating. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery.

Alta Lorraine Mesheau
1928-2011
Alta Lorraine Mesheau, 82, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Butternut Ridge (Havelock), she was a daughter of the late Dean and Irene (Carson) Henry. Alta was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church. She was well known as a great cook and loved to feed a crowd. She worked at several restaurants over the years, and she and Joe operated the Salmon Pool Restaurant and Woodland Cabins for several years. Her pies and donuts were amazing. Alta and Joe enjoyed camping and the grandkids always looked forward to trips with them. She was very proud of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They enjoyed many winters in Florida after retirement. She loved doing crafts and handiwork and each of her two children and all the grandchildren are fortunate to have quilts she made for them over the years.
Alta is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Burlin (Joe); children Carol Wortman (Lawrence) and Terrance Mesheau (Sandra); grandchildren Luke Wortman (Julee), Jill Wortman (Gary), Clay Wortman (Natalie), Stacey Gallant (Danny), Colin Mesheau (Roberta) and Leigh Anne Harris (Dave); great grandchildren Drew Duffy, Gabe Piercey, Dana Piercey, Chloe Wortman, Hannah Gallant, Cody Mesheau, Nicky Mesheau, Megan Harris, Thomas Harris and Kennedy Harris; sisters Olive Taylor, Myra Seeley (Ernest) and Alma Mesheau (Floyd); sisters in law Marjorie Henry and Ivy Tingley and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Alta is predeceased by sister Vivian Taylor; brother Dean Henry Jr.; infant brother and brothers in law Beryl Taylor and James Tingley.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Saturday, May 28, 2 - 4 pm only and from where the funeral will be held Sunday, May 29 at 2 pm with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Della B. "Bernice" Collopy
1936-2016
Della B. "Bernice" Collupy, 79 of Watertown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Heritage Homes of Watertown, WI.
Bernice was born on October 26, 1936 in Harewood, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of William and Stella (Killam) Herrington. On June 14, 1959 she married Gale T. Collupy and the couple was married for 45 years. Bernice came to know the Lord at age 12 and was member of Calvary Baptist Church of Watertown. She was one of 10 children and was raised in rural New Brunswick. The family was poor, but instilled a work ethic that was with her throughout her life. She owned and operated a successful business where she bred champion Cairn Terriers and also offered boarding and grooming. She was the strongest lady her children had ever known – both in personality and constitution. Her family will miss her deeply.
Bernice is survived by her Children Darren (Connie) Collupy of Spencer, MA, Ruth (Allan) Hardy of Omaha, NE, Timothy (Tamara) Collupy of Watertown, and Patricia (Jimmy) DiCico of Wellesley, MA; 13 Grandchildren; Sister Ruth Hiltz and Brother Don (Harriet) Herrington both of New Brunswick, Canada. She is also survived by a number other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Brothers Robert, Albert, James, and George, and Sisters Leona, Rita, and Annie.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church of Watertown with the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Loggans presiding. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date.
