Curtis Demont
1926-2012
Curtis James Demont, 85, of Harewood, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Harewood, he was a son of the late Eastman and Rhoda (Killam) Demont. Curtis was a retired employee of the former A & M Trucking, Havelock. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially being on his ATV and hunting.
Curtis is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Leona (Herrington); daughter Dawn Spurrell (Jim) of Thessalon, ON; sons Dana (Norma) and Laurie (Janice) both of Harewood; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; daughter in law Margie Lynn Demont of Fawcett Hill; sister Sadie McCully of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sons, Lewis (infant 1949) and Bernie (2008); brothers Basil and Omer; sisters Lena, Muriel, Jennie, Velma, Celia, Stella and Edith.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday, April 2 from 6 - 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Tuesday, April 3 at 3 pm with Pastor Rose Marie Holmes officiating. Interment at First North River Baptist Cemetery.

Maurice (Moe) Tremblay
1943-2012
Maurice (Moe) Henry Daniel Tremblay, 69, of Notre Dame passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late Maurice and Georgina (Gallant) Tremblay. Moe was the owner/operator of A & M Auto Repair Limited. He retired in 2008 to spend time and relax with family and friends at their cottage in Notre Dame. After retirement he loved to travel, enjoying Caribbean cruising with his longtime wife, companion and family members. Moe also enjoyed boating at Pointe-du-Chêne, spending time at Moncton Wildcats hockey games with Danny and Sharon (Shari) and watching his sons Josh and Danny play baseball and hockey during their school years. He loved his family very much and never spoke an unkind word.
He is survived and sadly missed by his wife and soulmate of 33 years Sharon (Shari) MacDougall; his children Gina LaForest (Marc), Michael (Angel), Sharlene Gallagher (Trevor), Joshua Maurice (Madison), Krista Tremblay, Melissa Collier and Danny (Sherilynn); former wife Elsie; grandchildren Savannah, Peyton, Emily, Timothy, Kyle, Nicholas, Samuel and Landon. Moe is also survived by his brothers Jim (June), Raymond (Faye), Richard (Marcia), Ned and Ronald; sisters Brenda Tremblay (late Warren), Jackie McNulty (Dick), Lee Filmore (late Arnold), Cecile Pooley (late Ned), Jeane Tremblay and Susan Phillips (Kevin); mother in law Cora MacDougall of Young's Cove and brothers and sisters in law. He is predeceased by brother Danny and father in law John MacDougall.
There is no visitation or service by personal request. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.
If desired, memorials to the Cancer Society or Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Dorothy Golding
1922-2016
Dorothy Evelyn Golding, 94, of The Briarlea residence in Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on December 2, 2016 following a brief illness.
Born in The Glades, she was the daughter of C. Brock and M. Josephine (Fawcett) Flewelling. She is survived by two step-daughters, Sandra Panun (Tim Lutes) and Patricia Moretti (Steven), three step-sons, Reginald Golding (Valerie), Raymond Golding (Victoria), and Richard Golding, several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Golding and one step-grandson.
Dorothy retired from the City of Moncton in 1980 after 23 years of secretarial positions in both the Mayor's and the City Manager’s offices. Dorothy lived independently in an apartment at The Briarlea, and following the death of her husband in 2006 decided to occupy her time by volunteering in the residence upstairs. Each day, almost without fail, she chose to negotiate the lengthy staircase to the upper floor to assist the staff by setting up tables for lunch and helping in the laundry room. She very much enjoyed her friendships and interactions with the staff and residents.
Arrangements have been in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). Interment has taken place at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Oral Roberts
1968-2012
Oral Silas Roberts, 44, of Second North River passed away at home, Monday, September 17, 2012.
Born in the Bahamas, he was a son of the late Thomas and Natalie (Davis) Roberts. Oral was a child and youth counsellor at the Peel Children's Center in Riverview. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and was a graduate of George Brown College in Ontario. Oral enjoyed gardening, raising poultry, fishing and reading his Bible.
He is survived and sadly missed by his beloved wife of fourteen years Debbie (Douglas); cherished children Shyanne, Olivia and Andrew; brothers Marcus, Preston and Cedric; sisters Gail, Sophie and Bridget; special Aunts Linda and Lavigne and many nieces and nephews.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday, September 20, 7 - 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Friday, September 21 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jason Cochran officiating.

Mildred Keith
1937-2012
Mildred Josephine Keith (nee Coates), 74, passed away peacefully with family at her side at Monarch Hall, Riverview on Friday, October 26, 2012. Born in Kinnear Settlement on December 18, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Ward and Florence (nee Henry) Coates. Mildred was married to Ralph Douglas Keith and they raised their family in Lower Ridge, New Brunswick. Together for over 50 years they worked the farm and proudly watched their four boys become men. Mildred's first love was indeed her family. She hosted countless family gatherings at the farm. Later in life she had the joy of being a grammie and great-grammie to the next generations. Her strength, kindness and courage will be remembered by all who knew her. Mildred's second love was for the Women's Institute Organization. She attended meetings for over 50 years and during that time she held titles which included: President of her branch (Lower Ridge WI), her district and became President of the New Brunswick Women's Institute. Her knowledge and dedication continued when she became President of the Federated Women's Institute of Canada she represented all of Canada and spoke passionately about women's and children's issues for not only Canada but the world. Her final pinnacle came when she was made Area Director for Canada with the Associated Country Women of the World, whereby she represented her country on the international level. Her time with WI, allowed her to develop her interests in travelling both in Canada and abroad.
Survived and sadly missed by her beloved husband Ralph; sons Stephen (Donna) of Havelock, Vance (Dianne) of Apohaqui and Jonathan (Kim) of Lower Ridge, daughter in law Betty Keith of Kinnear Settlement; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sisters Edith Forrestell (Michael), Ann Coates, Janet Coates-Mason; brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Marty Keith; brothers Danny and Jamie Coates and her sister Margaret Hicks.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday 6-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be in the chapel on Tuesday October 30 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Delbert Bannister Officiating. Interment will be at the Wesleyan Cemetery, Havelock.

Kathleen "Mabel" Howe
Miss Kathleen "Mabel" Howe of Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, NB, passed away at her residence on July 27, 2003 at the age of 87. Born in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland on January 21, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine (Follis) Howe.
Mabel is survived by 3 brothers, Reg and his wife Edna of Roachville, Ivan and his wife Beryl of Lower Millstream, John Stuart and his wife Joanne of Quispamsis, 4 sisters: Violet Wright of Halifax, Anna McAleese of Lower Millstream, Rachel Herrmann and her husband Paul of Vancouver, Lena Young of Saskatchewan, 3 sisters-in-law, Hilda Howe of Sussex, Jessie Howe of Halifax and Shirley Howe of Sussex, several nieces and nephews.
Mabel was predeceased by 3 brothers William, Thomas, Alexander (Sandy) and by her sister Sara.
Mabel was a retired Nurse and served as a lieutenant during WWII.
She was a member of the Church of the Ascension,
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from the Church of the Ascension on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Church of the Ascension Church Cemetery.
David Melvin
1948-2016
David Lee Melvin, 68, of Truro passed away Monday October 10, 2016 in Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Havelock he was a son of the late Gerald and Myrtle (Killam) Melvin. In his early working years he helped his father at the Havelock Cheese Factory and he retired after many years as a mill worker. He was an avid cribbage and card player.
Survived and sadly missed by his wife Margaret (Peggy); his children Mary Melvin of Oromocto, Anne Melvin (Derek) of Calgary, Melissa Melvin of Truro, his step son Cory of Truro; brothers Wayne of the Glades, Byron and Morgan of Havelock, Gerald (Perla) of Toronto, Keith (Wanda) of Petitcodiac; sisters Alice Jones (Gary) of Petitcodiac, Betty Melvin of Riverview, Julia Steeves (Greg) and Cora Melvin (Don) all of Petitcodiac. Survived also by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant sister Mary Ellen.
A Graveside service will be held Saturday October 15 at 2 p.m. at the Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock.
