Lester (Whiz) Wilson
1940-2012

Lester Allan Wilson, 72, aka Whiz, of Havelock passed away Saturday October 27, 2012 at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a sudden illness.
Born and raised in Harewood, he was a son of the late Clarence and Geraldine Wilson. Lester retired from the Department of Transportation in Salisbury after 20 years service. He was an active member and Past President of the Havelock Lions Club and a Past President of the Havelock Legion Branch # 86. He enjoyed gardening especially his strawberries and was always ready to lend a cheerful helping hand.
Survived and sadly missed by his wife of 41 years Sheila (nee Mitton); his children Jeffrey of Havelock, Jennifer Wilson of Moncton, Joann Wilson (Tom) of The Glades; grandchildren Savannah and Dawson of The Glades; sisters Bernice Murphy (Jerry) of Lance N.S., Eileen Carr and Joan Dean of Salisbury and by several nieces nephews. Predeceased by brothers Walter and John (Jack).
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Tuesday 6-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel on Wednesday October 31 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.
If desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Havelock Lions Club Elementary School Breakfast Program would be appreciated by the family.

Francis MacDonald
1931-2013

Francis Day (Frank) MacDonald, 81, of Petitcodiac, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Pictou County, he was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (Gulliver) MacDonald. Francis owned and operated convenience stores in Ontario & Alma areas, he then worked with Lounsbury's Automotive in Petitcodiac until his retirement. He enjoyed farming, was an avid sportsman and a member of the trail blazers local snowmobile club. Francis enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his camp.
Survived by his wife Joan Anne and his daughter Heather Tingley (Gregg) of Petitcodiac, son William (Billy) MacDonald of Moncton; grandchildren Maggie, Rebecca, Shane, Zoe, Nathan and Dakota.
By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home & Crematorium (372-4800).
If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Shepherd McKnight
1925-2013

Shepherd Alexander McKnight, 87, of Havelock, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital with family at his side.
Born in Cornhill, he was a son of the late Robert H. and Maude (McCully) McKnight. Shep was a retired diesel mechanic at Cement Cartage and a veteran of World War II with the Canadian Navy aboard HMCS Wallaceburg on convoy duty. He was a lifetime member of the Havelock Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a trapper all of his life.
Survived and missed by his daughters Deborah Parlee of Stony Plain AB, Donna Keith (Dennie) of Salisbury, Marlene Layden of Petitcodiac; sons Gary (Diana) of Manhurst, Allen (Betty) of Havelock, Jerry (Vicky) of Glenvale, Kevin (Lois) of Petitcodiac, Ronald (Kelly) of Riverview, Brett (Aislynne) of Havelock; 29 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren including a special granddaughter Michelle McKnight and great granddaughter Britney McKnight of Havelock. Also survived by his brother Angus (Eileen) of Manhurst and sister Sadie Reeder of Lower Coverdale and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (Annie) (2009); daughters Laura Leah McKnight (1982), Sharon McKnight (1982), son Darren (1967), sons-in-law Gerry Layden and Carl Parlee and brothers Elmer and Calvin.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Saturday, January 5 from 2 - 5 p.m. and where the funeral will be held in the chapel Sunday, January 6 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Jacob Ebbett officiating. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
If desired, donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Mildred Lewis
1928-2017

Mildred Mae Lewis, 88, of Colpitts Settlement passed away peacefully with her husband and family at her side Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in L'etete, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (McLeese) McNichol. Mildred was Pentecostal by faith, and she loved cooking and caring for her family.
She is survived and sadly missed by her beloved husband of 60 years Percy; children William (Gisele), Moncton and Stacey Boudreau (Michel), Dieppe; sisters Bernadine Lewis, L'etete, Gladys Dobb, Mississauga and Muriel MacDonald, St. George; granddaughters Amanda, Shianne, Courtney and Melissa; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Albion and Alexander; sister Meretta Cooke and infant sisters Sadie and Florence.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) visiting will be Friday, March 10 from 6 to 8 pm and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Saturday, March 11 at 11 am with Pastor Donald Crossman officiating. Interment at Middlesex Cemetery at a later date.
If desired, memorials to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Elmer Proctor

Mr. Elmer Proctor of 1111 Main Street, Sussex Corner, New Brunswick, passed away on Friday, August 1st, 2003, at the age of 74.
Born in Sussex, Elmer was the son of the late Beverly and Mabel (Hall) Proctor of Sussex. Elmer is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Gerry (Norrad) (Dunbar) Proctor; his son Beverly and his wife Christa (Virtue) of Wards Creek; his daughter Kelly and her companion Ryan Hoffman of Regina; his granddaughter, Selena Rae Proctor. He is also survived by his step-daughter, Faith Dunbar and her fiancee Brian Williams of Sussex, his step-son David Dunbar and Susan Vondette of Sundre, Alberta; and six step-grandchildren, Gina (Miller) and husband Shannon Stringer of Regina; Genelle Miller of Berwick, David Miller of Sussex, and Oliva, Danielle and Nicole Dunbar all of Sundre, Alberta, his sisters Jean Proctor of Sussex; Dorothy Horncastle and her husband Bob of Hampton; and Valerie Myers and her husband Basil of Ottawa; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Elmer is pre-deceased by a step-grandson, Jarrod, brothers, Harold, Bob, Ralph (Jud), and sisters, Greta, Sybil Watt, Bea Hay, Marjorie Atkinson and Marion Hay.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home at 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, New Brunswick, with visitation on Sunday 2-4, 7-9 and Monday 2-4, 7-9. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, Sussex, on Tuesday, August 5th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Dallimore and Jeanette Cosman (Staff Associate Minister) officiating. Burial at the Evergreen Memorial Park on the Aiton Road, Sussex. Legion graveside service to follow. Reception to follow will be held at the Sussex Legion on Magnolia Avenue

Robert McIntyre
1938-2013

Robert James McIntyre, 74, of Salisbury passed away Thursday January 3rd, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness.
Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late William J. and Marjorie (Cameron) McIntyre. He was a retired purchaser for CNR with over 30 years service. Robert was a harness racing owner and an avid horseman. He loved spending time with family and friends and a favorite past-time was playing horseshoes. He loved taking drives with his wife Louise in Albert County on Sunday afternoons.
He is survived by his wife Louise; children Michael (Penny) of Riverview and Heather LeBlanc of Moncton; step-children Stirling Steeves (Denise), Janet Savary (Phil), Bonnie Steeves (Darryl), Richard Steeves (Erla), and Diane Prosser (Dale); brothers Ronald McIntyre, David McIntyre (Barbara), and Edison McIntyre (Geraldine) and sisters Ethel McKay (late James), and Dorothy McConnell (James). His precious grandchildren Patrick, Christopher and Hannah, step-grandchildren Troy, Zack, Ben, Clayton, Joel, Callista, Ashley and Nikita, several step great grandchildren, many neices and nephews and also dear friend Bernie Landry. Predeceased by infant sister Donna McIntyre, infant brother Jimmy McIntyre and sister Gloria Fenton (December 2012).
In keeping with Bob's wishes there will be no visitation. The funeral will be held at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) Monday, January 7, 2013 at 3 pm. Reception to follow in the parlour. Interment at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society, Cancer Society or donors choice would be appreciated by the family.

Ray G. Bell

Mr. Ray G. Bell, of Newline, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on September 19, 2002. Born in Sussex Corner, on January 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Harvey and Minnie (Veysey) Bell.
Ray is survived by his brother Lloyd and his wife Charlotte of Newline Rd. and Elmer and his wife Wilma of Newline Rd., his sisters, Jean Bell of Sussex, Muriel Steadman of Sackville, Dorothy Flesh and her husband Joe of Kitchener, Ontario, sister in law Edie Bell of London, Ont, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Curtis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Ray’s request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Trinity Cemetery on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at 10:30 a.m.
