Joyce D. Smith
1920-2012
Joyce Daphne Smith, 92, of Canterbury Hall, Riverview N.B. passed away Monday May 14, 2012 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton.
Born in Kent England she was a daughter of the late James and Ethel (Sandwell) Hildick. Joyce served in WW II with the W.A.F. in England where she met her future husband Graham who served with the R.A.F. They made their home in Montreal where they raised their family and she attended the Church of England.
Survived and sadly missed by her sons Graham (Kathy) of Bedford N.S., Michael (Elaine) of Lethbridge AB and Mark (Maisie) of Moncton N.B.; a brother James Hildick of California; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Graham and a granddaughter Rebekah.
By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A family graveside service will be held at Rideau Memorial Gardens, Dollard-des-Ormeaux P.Q.
If desired memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Salisbury Funeral Home and Crematorium (506 372-4800)
Daniel Trenholm
1944-2012
Daniel Ivan Trenholm, 68, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital with family and friends by his side.
Born in Cape Tormentine he was a son of Ivan and the late Emma (Noiles) Trenholm. Dan worked for CNR for thirty-two years. He enjoyed his vehicles, hunting and gathering with friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter Ella.
Dan is survived and missed by his beloved wife and best friend Gloria (Paulette) (McDonald); his dad Ivan of Moncton; children Rick of Salisbury and Vicky Lynn (Roy LeBlanc) of ON; daughter-in-law Debbie Kitchen Trenholm of Salisbury and stepsons James and Byran both of Moncton; grandchildren Shanea (Rick Cobb), Joel Trenholm (Ashley Carter) and cherished great granddaughter Ella Trenholm all of Salisbury; brothers Harold (Jessie) of Ottawa and Stan (Deni) of Calhoun's; sister Barbara Burke of Moncton; best friends Roger Tingley and Debbie Colpitts; his canine companion Isabelle and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sisters-in-law Marg, Barbara and Betty and brothers-in-law Ross and Reg.
Family will receive relatives and friends at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) Wednesday, November 28 from 6 - 9 p.m. No funeral by request. Interment at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Ronald L. Ayles
1944-2012
Ronald Lee Ayles, 68, of River Glade passed away at home Tuesday May 15, 2012.
Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Irene (Nowlan) Ayles. Ron was a retired heavy equipment operator and enjoyed playing darts and cards at the Salisbury Legion. He cherished family time with his children and grandchildren and his many friends.
Survived and sadly missed by his companion Nancy Bannister; his children Stephen (Susan) and Stephanie Sleep (Randy) of Petitcodiac, Daniel (Angela) of Monteagle; step children Jennifer Cormier (Mike) and Heidi Godsoe (Stephen) of Saint John, Lance Gogan (Vanessa) of Cornhill; grandchildren Tara, Nichole, Ryan, Eric, Collin, Ethen, Clair and Jackson; great grandson Brady; the mother of his children Joanne Ayles; sisters Barbara, Helen, Marion and Dorothy; brothers James and Merle and their families; a special Aunt Josephine Hall and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Albert.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel on Friday May 18 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Shawn Kehoe officiating. Interment at Five Points Cemetery.
If desired memorials to the Lung Association or the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Dorothy May Straughan
1937-2012
Dorothy May Straughan (McFarlane), 74, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Middlesex, she was a daughter of the late Murray Parker and Vera Belle (Tingley) McFarlane. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a very generous woman. Dorothy loved quilting, sewing, reading and writing children's stories and her favourite time of year was Christmas. She also loved painting, it was her way of expressing her love for nature and all of God's creatures.
Dorothy is survived and will be sadly missed by her children Dorothy May McCarthy (James) of Simcoe, ON, Jacqueline Maureen Tingley (Mark Collins) of Hillsborough, Richard George Petzold of Hamilton, ON and Gordon James Petzold of ON; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers Arthur Murray McFarlane (June) of Stoney Creek, ON, John Frank McFarlane (Helen) and Laurence Alexander McFarlane (Kathy) both of Dundas, ON; sisters Helen Marie Arsenault (Alfred) of Salisbury and Barbara Bell Duff (John) of Hamilton, ON and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Ethel Anne McFarlane and brothers James Robert McFarlane and Raymond Edwain McFarlane.

Joseph (Joe) Smith
1920-2012
Joseph (Joe) Anthony Arthur Smith, 91, of Moncton passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Thursday, May 31, 2012.
Born on August 21, 1920 in Douglastown, he was a son of the late Joseph and Flora (Robichaud) Smith. Joseph was a taxi driver and a Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a brother Taze (Karen) Maddison; daughters Pat Parker and Kimberly Walsh; grandchildren Megan (Barry), Hillary, Dalton and Bailey as well as cousins, nephews and niece. Predeceased by wife Donna, brother William Maddison and sister Audrey Seaton.
At Joe's request there is no visitation or funeral. There will be a private family graveside service at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

John Corey
1933-2017
John Jacob Corey, a life-long resident of Butternut Ridge (Havelock), N.B., passed away February 12, 2017 at the Jordan Lifecare Centre, The Glades, N.B.
Born March 31, 1933, he was the son of Roy Manford Corey (1890-1956) and Annie Isabelle McFarland (1894-1947). He was predeceased by his sister Frances D. Corey (1932-2009).
John was an artist, an art teacher and a director of the UNB Art Centre. He studied at the Art Students League of New York. He was a consultant on New Brunswick heritage and the restoration of historic properties for the province and in the private sector. His interest in, and promotion of textiles was an important contribution to the history of the art of quilting in New Brunswick.
John travelled extensively on this continent and in Europe. During the summer months, he was devoted to his passion for gardening and he welcomed friends and visitors to his extensive flower and vegetable gardens.
Sincere appreciation is extended to the staff of the Jordan Lifecare Centre and to the numerous friends who visited John during his illness.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
If desired, donations in memory of John may be made to the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock, NB, the Havelock Memorial Hall or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Joyce Cochrane
1933-2012
Joyce Cochrane, 79, of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, formerly of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Petitcodiac, she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (O'Blenis) Proctor. She attended the Salisbury United Church. Joyce had been an avid golfer and was ladies champion several times at Lakeside Golf and Country Club in the early 1970's.
She is survived by step-sons Robert Cochrane (Mary) and Dennis Cochrane; special niece Merlyn Morse; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Audrey Lewis (late Moody), Marjorie Wortman (Lorne), Iris Banks (late Harry) and brother-in-law Arnold Murray of Alberta. Joyce is predeceased by her first husband Elroy Murray (1983) and second husband Hervey L. Cochrane (1990).
Special thanks to the staff at Spencer Home for the excellent care and companionship provided to Joyce in recent years.
There will be no visitation. A family graveside service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Friday, July 20 with Rev. Andrew Morse officiating.
