Phyllis Dobson
1923-2012

Dobson, Phyllis Viola, 88, of The Drew Nursing Home, Sackville and formerly Moncton passed away at her residence on Saturday January 28, 2012.
Born in Salisbury she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Annie (O'Blenis) MacWilliam. A homemaker she was Baptist by faith and a member of Brentwood Baptist Church.
Survived and sadly missed by her sons Ross and his wife Shirley of Boundary Creek, Larry of Vancouver; daughters, Judy McGuire and Karen Dobson of Moncton; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Survived also by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd (1987); infant son David; sister Eleanor Johnson; brother Henry MacWilliam and a great-granddaughter Tanya Kaye.
The Funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday January 31 at 2 p.m., with a reception to follow. No visitation by request. Burial at Steeves Mountain Cemetery at a later date.
If desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Society, The Drew Nursing Home or any charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Eva Chapman
1922-2012

Eva Harriette Chapman, 89, of Kinnear Settlement passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Moncton Hospital Friday, June 15, 2012.
Born in Havelock she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Greta (Keith) Young. Eva had a passion for family, friends and life and lived every day to the fullest. She enjoyed music, social gatherings, travel and had a sincere interest in everyone. Eva was a member of the Havelock Legion and until failing health was an avid bowler, cribbage and bingo player.
Survived and sadly missed by her children Conrad (Lois) of Fairvale, NB, Graham (Marjory) of Brantford, ON, Roger (Brenda) of Georgetown, ON, Sherry Stewart (Laurie) of Havelock, NB, Pamela Mills (Carl) of Kinnear Settlement, NB, Keith of Kinnear Settlement, NB; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; very special friend Michael Berry of Kinnear Settlement, NB; brother Lloyd (Jr) Young (Sandra) of Woodstock, ON; daughter in law Carol Chapman of Havelock, NB, former daughter in law Dorothy Chapman of Sussex, NB, and several nieces and nephews. Also, caregivers Elva Greer of Petitcodiac, NB and Trudy Elliott of Sussex, NB. She is predeceased by husband Charles; sons William (Bill) and Garry; sister Mina Plume and brother Wendell Young.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Saturday, June 16 from 6 - 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Sunday, June 17 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Rick Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock.
If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Gerald Leonard Ford

Mr. Gerald Leonard Ford, of Belleisle Creek, passed away at his residence on July 23, 2002. Gerald was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec on November 13, 1908. He was the son of the late Septimus George and Lucy Rosena (Kingswell) Ford and the husband of the late Burnadeen K. (Pearson) Ford who passed away in 1999.
Gerald is survived by 2 Daughters; Madaline Fowler and her husband Charles of Kars, NB, Kathy Boutilier and her husband Elston of Rothesay, NB, 4 Sons; Mac and his wife Pat of Collina, NB, Donald and his wife Janet of Sandford, Ontario, Ralph and his wife Elaine of Sussex, NB, Leonard of Belleisle Creek, NB and his brother, Granville also of Belleisle Creek.
Gerald is also survived by 10 Grandchildren; Kathleen Mullin, Sharon Gallibois, Samantha Chan, Catherine Secord, Richard Ford, Dawn Mendes, Madaline Jane Boutilier, James Boutilier, Gregory Ford and Jolene Perry, 14 Great Grandchildren; Christina, Natalie, Julia, Zachery, Isaac, Tabitha, Cameron, Conrad, Kyle, Taylor, Adam, Amanda, Matthew and Christina and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His brother Erdley has predeceased him.
Gerald was a lifetime resident of Belleisle Creek. He graduated from Truro Agriculture College and was self-employed as a farmer, lumberman, Christmas tree producer and carpenter. For a number of years he was employed with Glendale Mobile Homes. Gerald was a school trustee for many years when the first Belleisle Regional High School was built, and was a lifelong member of the Saint Simon and Jude Church. He had many interests, hunting, fishing, traveling, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Thursday 2-4, 7-9 pm. The funeral Service will be held from Collina United Baptist Church on Friday, July 26, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Allison MacLean officiating.
The interment will follow at the Upper Springfield Cemetery.
There will be a time of fellowship with the family following the Committal Service at the Lower Millstream United Baptist Church Hall.
As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Upper Springfield Cemetery or to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated.

Ritchie Lewis
1955-2012

Ritchie Wayne Lewis, 56, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 surrounded by his family at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Moncton he was the son of Jean (Colpitts) Killam and the late Earl Killam. Ritchie was a salesman at Trites Equipment - Tractor Sales and Parts for 17 years. He was an active member of the Salisbury United Church, a graduate of the former Salisbury High School, a proud volunteer of the Salisbury Fire Department and a canvasser for the Canadian Cancer Society. Ritchie enjoyed woodworking, four wheeling and most importantly spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years Brenda (Trites); son Ryan (Natasha) of Salisbury; daughter Lindsay (Julien Melanson) of Moncton; cherished grandchildren Jaedan and Willow; mother Jean Killam; brothers Terry (Angie) of Middlesex, Ward (Pam) of Middlesex, Andrew of Riverview; father-in-law Arnold Trites; sister-in-law Debbie Trites (Dan Compton); brothers-in-law Brian (Karen) and Kevin (Jane) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father Earl Killam and mother-in-law Gladys Trites.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday, July 5 from 6 - 9 pm and where the funeral will be held in the chapel Friday, July 6 at 11 am with Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Friends of the Moncton Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.

Bruice W. Smith
1951-2012

Bruice Willis Smith, 60, of River Glade, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in the Glades he was a son of the late Ross and Ella Smith. Bruice was a broker with Sameday Courier until illness forced retirement. He enjoyed bowling and weekends at the campground but most important was time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survived and sadly missed by his beloved wife of 41 years Linda (Clarke); his daughter Bobbie-Jo and her husband Brad Killam and his cherished grandchildren Ryan and Rebecca of Lewis Mountain; his sisters, Thelma Plume (Robert), Salisbury, Lilia Bruneau (Albert), Moncton, Betty Steeves, Albert Mines, Carol Woodman (William) and Susan MacLeod (Elton) of Petitcodiac; brothers, Henry, The Glades, Robert, Moncton, Michael (Sharon), Salisbury. Survived also by brothers and sisters-in-law Harold Clarke (Pearl), Yvonne Brown (Doug), Howard Clarke (Norma) all of Ontario, Brenda Preston (Gary) of NL and by many nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a brother Phillip, infant sister Joanie and brother in law Harvey Clarke.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday Aug. 16 from 6-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with Rev. David Evans officiating. Interment at the Glades Baptist Cemetery.
If desired memorials to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital, Palliative Care Unit or The Glades Baptist Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Evelyn Jones
1922-2012

A lady of grace, gentleness, and love is now in the arms of her Saviour. Evelyn Jones of the Jordan Lifecare Centre and formerly of Petitcodiac passed away on November 27, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimers.
Evelyn was born in Tamneybrack, Northern Ireland June 4, 1922 to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Robinson) Mackay. She emigrated to Canada, when she was six, in 1928. She lost her mother two years later. She married the love of her life Lloyd George Jones in 1945 after he returned from WWII in 1944 on a hospital ship. Their twin boys were born in 1946, but unfortunately Lloyd passed away from his illness in 1948. She was a homemaker who was a skilled seamstress and cook and her whole life was poured into her family. Her friends also meant so much to her. She was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church.
Left to mourn are her sons Gerald (Fran) and Gary (Alice) both of Petitcodiac; six grandchildren David (Tracy), Tracey (Gary), Tab (Roger), Cassey (Shane), Trevor (Wanda), and Lisa (Chris); nine great grandchildren Jason, Corey (Amanda), Becca, Airelle, Robin, Izaak, Connor, Wesley, and Tayvia, and one great great granddaughter, Savannah. She is also survived by one brother, David (Donna) of Kingston, NB and three sisters-in-law Jean, Irma, and Ruth of Moncton and several precious nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Sarah, Annie, Elizabeth, Lizzie and brothers, Robert, James, and Gordon and several sisters and brothers-in-law.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visitation Thursday, November 29 from 6 - 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held on Friday, November 30 at 11 a.m. with Pastors Rick Thomas, David Woodworth, and Paul Leger presiding. Interment will be held in the Grangeville Baptist Church Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to Grangeville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or the Petitcodiac Baptist Mission's Trip (to be held in March 2013) or a charity of choice would be appreciated.

Joyce Cochrane
1935-2013

Joyce Cochrane, 77, of Second North River passed away February 26, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital with family at her side following a lengthy illness.
Born in Gander Bay, NF, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Pearl (Thistle) Farrell. In her early working years, Joyce joined the Royal Canadian Air Force serving in Peacekeeping as a Fighter Control Operator in Northern Quebec. Involved in her community she attended the Second North River Baptist Church, was a life member of the former Second North River W.I., a past Trustee of the former School District 16, past Chairperson of the Sponsoring Committee for the 580 Air Cadet Squadron, member of Branch 31, Royal Canadian Legion, Salisbury and attended the Monday Morning Merry Makers.
Survived and sadly missed by her children Wanda Edgar of Calgary, Deborah Cochrane of Lincoln, Bill (Dianna) of Second North River, Robert (Martine) of Oromocto, Cindy Cochran (Stephen) of Lewis Mountain, Bruce (Gail) of London On., Patricia Englehart (Albert) of Ottawa On., Lori Ritchie (Dave) Brampton On., Lesa Black (James) of Calgary; 16 cherished grandchildren; brothers Jimmie, Pierce (Ann) and Harry (Barb); a sister Grace Keats; sister in law Miriam Anketell (Roderick) and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband George (1989); son in law Wendall Edgar and grandson Logan Cochran.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held from the Second North River Baptist Church on Sunday March 3 at 2 p.m. Interment at a later date at the Monteagle Cemetery.
If desired memorials to the Lung Association or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Linda Steeves
1954-2016

Linda Mae Steeves, of Elgin, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at home. She was the eldest daughter of Raymond and Nelda Steeves. She was known for her boundless energy and generous heart and spirit. She was especially fond of her dog Shadow who was a great comfort to her during ill health.
Survived and sadly missed by her father Raymond and step-mother Fay Steeves, formerly of Elgin now of Moncton, her companion Robert Dickie, her brother Terry Steeves and his wife Shirley (deceased) of Elgin, her sister Marianne Sweet and her husband Richard of England, her step-brother Stephen Onuluk and his wife Faye of Moncton and by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her beloved mother Nelda (Sharpe).
Friends and family are welcome to attend an evening of celebration and remembrance from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 7 at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800). It will be an informal gathering and an opportunity to mark Linda’s life over a cup of tea and a doughnut.
At Linda’s request there will be no service. Interment at the Elgin Cemetery. No flowers please.
If desired, memorials to SPOT (Support People of Today) or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
