Trisha was a loving and devoted daughter and a fiercely protective stay at home Mom, not only of her own children, but of any child that crossed her open-hearted path. She was also a loving wife, dedicated "Memaw", auntie, friend and big sister. She loved to bake and make big family meals, make crafts with her children, grandchildren, and nephew and she had recently taken up knitting "hats for newborns".
Trisha leaves behind to forever mourn, her lovingly devoted mother, Nancy; her Partner in Life of 19 years, Thomas Curtis; sister Jennifer Best of Toronto; brother Richard Best (Kelsi) of Riverview; five beautiful children, Alex (Amanda), Abby (Matt), Lucie, Katie and Hayden, all at home; "Memaw" to three precious grandbabies Nevaeh, Bella and Declan; one very special nephew Keanan; three sisters of the heart, Sara, Franky and Nichole; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and last but not least faithful ole' "Frank the Cat". Trisha was predeceased by her proud "Poppa Bear" Gary; maternal grandparents "Nammie and Nampie", Robert and Sally Steeves, and paternal grandparents Earl and Shirley Best.
There is no visitation by request. A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Elgin Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday, October 8 from 1 to 3 pm. Interment at Bay View Cemetery, Mary's Point Road where she will be laid to rest with her Dad.
Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home and Crematorium (372-4800).
