Charles B. "Buzzy" O'Donnell
1916 - 2001
Mr. Charles B. “Buzzy” O’Donnell, of Sussex, New Brunswick passed away at Kiwanis Nursing Home, on January 9, 2001, born in Sussex, NB on April 25, 1916, he was the son of the late Phillip and Kathie (McCole) O'Donnell.
Buzzy is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian E. (Doyle) O'Donnell, 3 sons, Len and his wife Sandy of Waterford, Bryant and his wife Kathryn of Picadilly and Bill and his wife Lisa of Norton; a brother, Lawrence and his wife Mary of Saint John, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Buzzy was predeceased by a brother, Len, 2 sisters, Mable Fisher and Alice Nystrom and a granddaughter, Pam.
Buzzy served overseas during WWII with the Princess Louise 8th Hussars. He was a member of the Sussex Golf & Curling Club, he was an avid outdoorsman and a volunteer fire fighter for over 38 years. Buzzy was the Manager of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20 until his retirement.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of WALLACE FUNERAL HOME 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday 7-9, Thursday 2-4, 7-9, at Wallace Funeral Home. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20 will hold a tribute on Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Friday, January 12, 2001 at 10:00 am, with Fr. Peter Bagley officiating. There will be a private family interment following the service at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The Family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20 following the interment service.

Earl Albert Harvey
Mr. Earl Albert Harvey, of Sussex, passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on June 8, 2003 at the age of 79. He was born in Salmon Creek, NB on July 31, 1923, he was the son of the late Adam and Blanche (Williams) Harvey.
Earl is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doreen Violet (Bevans), 5 daughters, Judith Connolly and her husband Mike of Maugerville, NB, Jessie McLaughlin and her husband David of Plumweseep, NB, Earlene Titus and her husband Wayne of Geary, NB, Patricia Thornhill and her husband Randy of Sussex, NB, Sherri Harvey of Sussex, NB, 10 grandchildren: Anita, Timothy (Heather), Matthew, Tiffany, Tempest, Thomas, Hannah, Brianna, Josiah, Isaiah, 1 great granddaughter, Tara, 2 sisters-in-laws, Mabel Harvey of Salmon Creek, NB and Dorothy Harvey of Sussex, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Earl was predeceased by his daughter, Anita, 3 brothers, Robert, Gordon and Eben, his half-brother, Frank and 2 half-sisters, Sadie & Mamie. Earl is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Earl was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship. He was a truck driver for Lounsbury Ltd. prior to his retirement. His passion for hunting and fishing in the great outdoors was his favorite past time with his family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Monday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service is from Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 3:30 pm, with Rev. Stephen Little officiating. A private family interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the 5th Floor Oncology Department or to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
David James Powell
July 5, 1943 - December 4, 2001
Mr. David James Powell, of Church Ave. Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on December 4, 2001.
Born on July 5, 1943, he was the son of Flossie Powell of Sussex and the late Arthur W. Powell who passed away in 1958.
David is survived by his mother, 2 daughters Judy Booth and her husband Harry of Cassidy Lake, Donna Secord and her husband Paul of Penobsquis 2 grand children Jesse Secord and Kristen Booth, 3 sisters Joan Folkins of Sussex, Cathy Roy and her husband Donnie of Bathurst, Susan Adair and her husband Lawrence of Millbrook, 2 brothers Carl and his wife Joan of Mt. Middleton and Ron and his wife Debbie of Millbrook, several nieces and nephews. David is also survived by his special friend Helen Proctor

A Graveside Service will be held from Kirk Hill Cemetery on Thursday, December 6, 2001 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Allen Tapley officiating.

E. Mae Clain
November 2, 1919 - February 12, 2001
Mrs. E. Mae Clain, of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, (formerly of Wallace Court) Sussex, New Brunswick, passed away at her residence on February 12, 2001
Born in Sussex, New Brunswick on November 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late William and Bessie (Anderson) Kelso.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Everett Clain who passed away in 1987.
Mae is survived by her daughter, Linda Robertson and her husband Vernon of Ottawa, Ontario, 2 brothers, Sidney Kelso and his wife Lotta, of Sussex and Donald Kelso of Sussex, N.B., 2 sisters, Grace Reading and her husband Tom of Lethbridge, Alberta and Florence Harvey of Cobourg, Ontario, a sister-in-law, Elva (Kelso) Greer, 2 grandchildren, Christopher Robertson and his wife Christine of Toronto, and Sharon Myra and her husband Chris of Edmonton, Alberta, 4 great-grandchildren, Alexander and Andrew Robertson, Connor and Austin Myra, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 brothers, W. Aubrey Kelso and Gordon E. Kelso, a sister, Eva Vail.
Mae was a member of the Rebeccas Oddfellows, an active member of the United Baptist Church in Oromocto and Sussex, New Brunswick, also a member of the Baptist Church Guild. She was a member and volunteer of the Oromocto Ladies Hospital Auxiliary. Mae was a member of the Sussex Senior Citizens Club. Mae was a resident in Minto, NB from 1963-1964, then she moved to St. Stephen, NB from 1964-1968, then Oromocto, NB from 1968-1987. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters.

Funeral Service will be held from Sussex United Baptist Church on Thursday, February 15, 2001 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Gordon Walker officiating. Interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery in the spring.

Mr. Real Joseph Pilotte, of Dr. V. A. Snow Nursing Home, Hampton, formerly of Sussex, NB and Timmins, Ont. passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on January 14, 2001
Born in Cobalt, Ontario on October 14, 1918, he was the son of the late Phillip Pilotte and Emelia (Laniville) Pilotte. He was the beloved husband of the late Viola (McEachern) Pilotte who passed away Jan.27 1999.
Real is survived by his daughter, Patricia Burke and her husband Larry of Newline, NB 2 sisters, Cecile Tremblay of Brossard, Quebec, Lillian Richer of Shemoque, NB a brother, Rodolph Pilotte of St. Hubert, Quebec a daughter-in-law, Pauline, Pilotte of Timmins, Ontario 5 grandchildren, Colin and his wife Sharon, Colleen, Michael, Dennis and Cheryl, several nieces and nephews
Real was predeceased by his son Robert who passed away in 1986 and by a brother Rodolph.

Mr. Gerald Albert Kilcup, of Creighton Dr. Sussex Corner, NB passed away at Sussex Health Centre on February 25, 2001
Born in Saint John, NB on July 26, 1924, he was the son of the late Hector P. and Elizabeth (King) Kilcup.
Gerald is survived by his wife Maxine I. (Burlock) Kilcup 3 daughters Brenda Breen Saint John Dianne Carlisle and her husband Douglas of Keswick Ridge, Karen Foster and her husband Danny of Keswick Ridge a son Gerry and his wife Sharon of Prince Rupert, BC 2 brothers Roy and Ralph both of Sussex, 6 Grandchildren, Ryan, Garth and Stephen Carlisle, Danielle and Matthew Foster, Kate Breen several nieces and nephews
Gerald served overseas during WWII with the Carleton York Reg. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 He was a retired Inspector of the Chicken Marketing Board Sussex

Edwin Wilmot Titus
1912 - 2001
MR. EDWIN WILMOT TITUS, of Highfield, New Brunswick passed away at his residence on January 11, 2001
Born in Saint John NB on June 8, 1912, he was the son of the late Harold and Annie May (Laverty) Titus.
He was the beloved husband of the late Myrtle L. (Titus) Titus who passed away in 1996.
Edwin is survived by 2 sons, Joel and his wife Lynn Hawley of Ajax, Ontario, Dana of Ajax, Ontario a sister, Edith Kelly of Saint John, 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Blake, several nieces and nephews.
Edwin was predeceased by 2 brothers, Athol and Howard and a sister, Muriel.
Edwin was co-owner of H. L. Titus Bakery Ltd., Saint John and enjoyed flying the seabee.

Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Sunday, January 14, 2001 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Warren Vollmer officiating. A graveside memorial service and interment will take at Titusville Cemetery in the Spring.
