Brenda Ann Riley
Brenda Ann Riley, 49, of Salisbury West passed away Thursday October 10, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness .
Born at Moncton she was a daughter of the late Douglas D. and Vera Belle (Steeves) Riley. Brenda was a former clerk at Zellers and Sobeys. She enjoyed seeing all her friends at the weekly bingo, spending time with her beloved dogs and was an active member of the Moncton Kennel Club.
Survived by her partner and best friend Ronald Copp, step-daughters Marianne Copp of Salisbury, Janet Copp of River Glade, grandchildren Brandon and Jessie, a brother John and sisters Noreen Lewis and Charlotte Riley.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 33590 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with no visiting by request. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Saturday October 12 at 11 a.m. If so desired memorials to The Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Douglas E. Chapman
Douglas Earl Chapman, 49 of Rusagonis and formerly of Salisbury passed away Friday September 27, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital from injuries sustained in a tractor trailer accident September 13 near Moncton..
Born at Middlesex he was a son of Earl and Jean (McCormick) Chapman. He was employed with Atlantic-Pacific Transport and in his leisure time enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church in Moncton.
Survived by his parents of Salisbury, his daughters Katrina Chapman of Salisbury, Tiffany Chapman of Salisbury West, his companion Jackie Hiscock, step-children Cindy Willis (Bruce) of Fredericton, Curtis Hiscock (Laura) of St. Stephen and their children Ryan Willis and Gavin Hiscock. Surviving also are sisters Phyllis Lewis (Philip) of Monteagle, Florence Allen (Andrew) of Antigonish N.S., Ruth Smith (Rick) Salisbury, Judy Smith (Norman) Riverview, Joanne Simpell (Eugene) Lakeside, Sharon Doucette (Jim) North Bay Ont., brothers Danny (Betty) of Salisbury, Steven (Elaine) Moncton, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Sunday Sept 29 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sterling Penny officiating. Interment at the Middlesex Cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
Edwina I. Sheppard
Edwina Isabell Sheppard, 70, 0f Marx Farm Road, Salisbury West passed away Monday June 3, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Saint John she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Mary (Rogers) Worden. A homemaker she was also a former employee of the T.Eaton Co., attended St. John’s Anglican Church, Salisbury and was a member of the I.O.D.E..
Survived by her husband of fifty one years Edward, daughters Florence Goddard (Sterling), Jane Duncan (Dwight) of Killams Mills, Norma Jean Demont (Dana) of Harewood, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sisters Helen Garnett of Me, Kathleen Cady of Mass., brother Ronald Worden of Me., several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Ruthie Stone.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Tuesday June 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from St. John’s Anglican Church, Salisbury with Rev. Ellis Jagoe officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.

Dennis E. Muller
Dennis Emil Muller, 64, of Salisbury passed away Friday May 31, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Sydney N.S. he was a son of Mary Agnes (King) Muller and the late Dennis Muller Sr.. Dennis was a carpenter, heavy equipment operator, a member and former trustee of the Middlesex Baptist Church . He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting . Dennis loved his family, grandchildren and many faithful friends. He would have liked more time on this earth to accomplish more of his dreams but his love and trust in his Lord and Saviour’s words “thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” gave him great peace in his final days in this life.
Survived by his mother of Sydney N.S., his wife Carol (MacCallum), children Bradley Muller of Salisbury, Rick Muller of Toronto, Penny Muller of P.Q., a step son Kelly Arsenault of Salisbury Road, several grandchildren including Jeremy, Cory, Felicia Arsenault and Taylor, Jennifer, Jacob Muller, seven brothers, five sisters, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother.

Kathleen M. Gladstone
Kathleen (Kay) Myrtle Gladstone, 84, of the Homestead Road, Second North River passed away Wednesday May 29, 2002 at home.
Born at Berryton she was a daughter of the late William and Alma (Wilson) Leeman. A homemaker, in her early working years she was a geriatric attendant at the former Jordan Memorial Home and was a member of the Lewis Mountain Baptist Church.
Survived by a daughter Iris Black (Lewis Smith) of Smith Branch Road, a granddaughter Gwen Wilson of Woodstock Ont., a grandson Greg Wilson of Drumbo Ont., brothers Harold Leeman of Lutes Mountain, Fred (Ada) Leeman of Coverdale, sisters Marion (Gordon) Keith of Moncton, Visca Hanlon of Oromocto, Irene Smith of Fredericton. Predeceased by her husbands George Coram, Cecil Patriquin and Charles Gladstone, infant daughters Maxine & Ellen.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Sunday 7-9 p.m. . A graveside service will be held Monday June 3 at 11 a.m. at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton with Rev. Randy Matheson officiating.

Warren L. Kierstead
Warren Leroi Kierstead, 79, of The Jordan Life Care Center and formerly of The Salisbury Lions Villa passed away Sunday May 26, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Havelock he was a son of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Thorne) Kierstead. Warren was a life member of the Fownes Lodge No. 45 F&AM, and the
Royal Canadian Legion No. 86, Havelock. He was a retired employee of Canada Cement Lafarge with over 32 years service and attended the Havelock Wesleyan Church.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years Irene (Rumble), a daughter Calleen Harper of Riverview, sons Eugene (Carolyn) of Salisbury, Richard (Margaret) of Moncton, Carl (Barbara) of Harewood, Carmen (Katherine) of The Glades, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a brother Harold (Ester) of Moncton, a sister in law Vera Kierstead of Havelock and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Charles, Irvine and Murray.

Joyce M. Coates
Joyce Maxine Coates, 70, of Pine Glen Road, Riverview and formerly of Salem Kings Co. passed away Tuesday May 21, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital .
Born at Truro she was a daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Atkinson) Toole. Joyce attended Trinity United Church in Havelock and was a retired clerk at the Nurse’s Auxillary Gift Shop at the Moncton Hospital were she enjoyed serving the customers and helping in any way possible.
She is survived by her husband Graham, a daughter Cynthia Snow (Michael) of Ottawa, a son Gregory (Linda) of Edmonton, grandchildren Taran and Jenna Snow, Samantha and Coline Coates. Survived also by a sister Barbara Geldart of Debert, brothers Jack Toole (Bev) and Joseph Toole (Patsy) of Brookfield and Chester Toole (Judy) of Bible Hill, a brother in law Jim Godfrey of Riverview and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Jane Godfrey.
A memorial service will be held Sunday May 26 at 2 p.m. from the Trinity United Church, Havelock with Rev. Charlotte Youland Officiating. No visiting hours by request. If so desired memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or Trinity United Church would be appreciated by the family and placed through the Havelock Funeral Parlour (534-2600) who are in care of the arrangements.
Catherine Douthwright
Catherine Rose Douthwright, 40, of Nederland Texas, U.S.A. and formerly of Middlesex passed away April 23, 2002 .
Born at Moncton she was a daughter of the late Gerald W. and Mamie (Steeves) Douthwright.
Survived by her sisters Heather Raymer (Lee) of Alberton P.E., Robin Parent (Brian) of Hamilton ON., a brother Gerald R. (Barbara) of Middlesex, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Saturday June 8 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Dana McKillop Officiating assisted by Pastor Scott Hanscom.
