L. Gwendolyn O. Gray
Lillian Gwendolyn Olga Gray, 90, of Douglas Ave. Salisbury passed away Tuesday December 4, 2001 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Annapolis Royal, N.S. she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Maude Hatfield. A homemaker Gwendolyn was Methodist by faith and attend the Salisbury United Baptist Church.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Lillian Crawford of Sussex, her son Donald (Erma) of Salisbury, grandchildren Judy (Milton) Friars, Edwin (Christine) Crawford, Michael (Wanda) Crawford, Douglas Gray, Norman (Sandra) Gray, Cathy (Web) Merrithew, Marlene (Brian) Johnstone. Survived also by fifteen great grandchildren and a niece. Predeceased by her husband Hanford (1958), brothers Jack, Donald, Lewis and Rupert Hatfield.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. and from where the service will be held Friday Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Interment at the Goshen Cemetery.

Delbert B. MacLeod
Delbert Byron MacLeod, 69, of Scott Road passed away Saturday February 16, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness.
Born at Alward Road he was a son of the late Leslie and Bertie (Killam) MacLeod. Delbert attended Full Gospel Assembly, Killams Mills and retired from the Department of Transportation in 1992 with 40 years service. He served as president of the annual MacLeod reunion, was an active member of the Havelock Sportsman Club and loved to hunt and spend time at “The Good Place”.
Survived by his beloved wife Donna, children Eric (Ann) of Salisbury West, Elizabeth MacLeod of River Glade, Elaine (Cecil) Wortman of Boundary Creek, Darlene (Earlin) Smith of River Glade, Brent (Gail) of Salisbury, Kimberley (David) McPherson of Lutes Mountain, Pamela (Brian) Ferguson of River Glade, Cheryl (Martin) Taylor of Second North River and Melanie (Stephen) Harnish of Salisbury West. Survived also by sisters Hilda MacLeod of Salisbury, Doris Steeves of Petitcodiac, Christena Warren of Saint John, a brother Bruce (Berdine) of Salisbury Road, a sister in law Evelyn MacLeod of Salisbury, 19 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two infant sons and a brother Sterling.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The Funeral will be held Tuesday Feb.19 at 2 p.m. from the Salisbury United Baptist Church, Rev. Howard Holmes officiating. Interment at the Monteagle Cemetery at a later date.

Daniel A. Longaphie B.Ed., M.Ed.
Daniel Allen Longaphie, 57, of Buckingham Avenue, Riverview passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday February 21, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in New Zealand, P.E.I. he was a son of Loretta (Gregory) Longaphie and the late Joseph Longaphie. Dan was a graduate of Moncton High School, The New Brunswick Teachers' College and the Université de Moncton and was a respected educator in the Moncton area for over 30 years. He began his career as Vice Principal of Bessborough School and then served as Principal of Frank L. Bowser School for ten years. In 1984 he was seconded to serve as principal of the former Lion Don Steeves School where he began a lifelong passion of promoting the integration of special needs students into the public school system. In the mid-eighties he joined the School District Office as a supervisor and later retired as an assistant superintendent in 1996. In retirement he enjoyed numerous home improvement projects as well as his gardens, but his greatest pleasure was the time spent with his beloved granddaughter Kennedy Grace.
Daniel is survived by his mother Loretta of Moncton, his best friend and wife of more than 35 years Janet (Crawford), his children Gregory and his wife Carolyn of Riverview, Barbara of Toronto, James of Riverview, granddaughter Kennedy, his brothers David of Riverview and Ken of Ontario, his sisters Elizabeth and Mary of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph and his sister Margaret.
A memorial service to celebrate Dan's life will be held Saturday, February 23 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church, 404 Cleveland Avenue in Riverview, with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. Interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Greater Moncton Association for Community Living or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family and may be placed through the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800) who are in care of the arrangements.
Bernard A. McHugh
Bernard (Bernie) Anthony McHugh, 67, of Buckley Road, Harewood passed away Monday March 11, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Dubee Settlement he was a son of the late John and Mary (Barrett) McHugh. Bernie was a retired welder and enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
Survived by his wife Eunice Mitton, four children from his first marriage, a brother John of Manitoba, a sister Louise Matulis of Montreal, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Gus, a sister Marie.

With visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 p.m.. Parish prayers will be at 8:40 p.m. from the funeral home. The funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Jude’s R.C. Church, Salisbury. Interment will be at St. Phillips Cemetery, Millstream.

Ethel LeBlanc
1930 - 2019
Ethel LeBlanc, 88, of Irishtown, wife of the late Norman LeBlanc (2008), passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at her residence. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Joseph “Joe” and Gertrude (Walsh) McGrath.
She was the loving mother of Patrick of Irishtown, and Teri (Dale Gaston) of Waterloo, ON; dear grandmother of Danny, Ashley (Matt), Brittany (Matt), Matthew, and Joshua (Ann); great-grandmother of Tianna, Cohen, and Summer; sister of Bernie (Eilleen) and Marion Lenihan (Harold), both of Saint John, and Gerry (Nancy) of Hampton, as well as aunt to several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude towards her care givers, Mary Proctor and Debbie Plume, as well as the nursing staff of the Blanche-Bourgeois Extra Mural Unit for their exceptional care and compassion provided to our mother.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday April 27 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Saturday from 10 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in the St. Lawrence O’Toole cemetery, Irishtown.
In memory of Ethel, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
Gail E. Lyons
1967–2019
Gail Elaine Lyons, 52, of Second North River, passed away at home on Monday, April 22, 2019. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Evelyn (Steeves) Nelson and beloved wife of Gary Lyons.
Gail was a cook at the Country View Restaurant. She loved her cats and dogs and the outdoors and enjoyed travelling in their motor home. Her family looked forward to her mustard pickles which she generously donated.
In addition to her husband, Gail is survived and sadly missed by her stepdaughter, Kim Rowe of Saint John; stepson, Mark Lyons of Miramichi; sisters, Shelley (Takvor) Toudjian of Moncton, Yolanda (Walt) Kohnert of California; brothers, Mike (Ruth) Nelson of Sussex, Carl (Dawn) Nelson of Moncton, Mark (Lisa) Nelson of ON; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at a later date at Greenhill Cemetery, Edgetts Landing. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Rte 106, Salisbury West (372–4800).

Erma A. Silk
Havelock - Erma Audrey Silk, 79, of Havelock passed away at home on Wednesday December 3, 2003 after a lengthy illness.
Born at Cherryvale, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Laura (Corey) Black. A homemaker, Erma was a member of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Havelock and the A.C.W. of the church.
Survived by her beloved husband Emery, a daughter Audrey Dunstan (Lynn) of Havelock, sons Richard (Debbie) of Ottawa, Randall (Nadine) of Petitcodiac, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, sister Dorothy Corey, Lower Ridge, brothers Garnet Black, Lower Ridge, Claude Black, Centerville and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Juanita Corey, Geneva Boron, Bernice Keith, Marguerite Hanson, brothers Ford and Lawrence Black.
Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street with visiting hours Thursday 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Havelock on Friday December 5 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Morton officiating. Interment will be at the Butternut Ridge, Wesleyan Cemetery, Havelock.
