Garnet Bernard Black
Garnet Bernard Black of Havelock, N.B. passed away Wednesday May 26, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital, a result of an accident which occurred at his residence.
Born August 9, 1922 in Cherryvale, Queens Co., he was a son of the late Rufus and Laura (Corey) Black.
A retired farmer, he was also a loving and devoted husband and father. He will be fondly remembered for his great love of horses, and also for being called upon many times during his farming years, to offer assistance to neighboring farmers with their ailing animals. In the past he had served as President of the former Havelock Cheese Factory and also had been a member of the Buckley Settlement Grasslands Association.
Garnet is survived by his six children: two daughters; Claudia Ogilvie (Dale) of Hillgrove, Petitcodiac and Carlene Black of Apohaqui, four sons; Bernard (Rochelle), Brian, Roger (Valerie) and Glen all of Havelock, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Dorothy Corey (Archie) of Lower Ridge and a brother Claude of Centerville and by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Rose (Sept 2003) an infant daughter Brenda Rose; brothers Lawrence and Ford; sisters Bernice Keith, Erma Silk, Marguerite Hanson and twin sisters Juanita Corey and Geneva Boron.
Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from The Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday May 29 at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Hatt officiating. Interment in Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock.

Earl W. Chapman
Earl William Chapman, 76, of Main Street Salisbury passed away Monday May 31, 2004 at the Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton.
Born at The Glades he was a son of the late Fred and Hattie (Carson) Chapman.
Earl was involved in the automotive sales and service industry most of his life and in later years together with his son Danny owned and operated Chapman’s New and Used Cars in Salisbury. He was a life member of the N.B. Antique Auto Club and was an active member of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church in Moncton where he served faithfully for many years on their board.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years Jean (McCormick), sons Danny (Betty) of Salisbury, Steven (Elaine) Moncton, daughters Phyllis Lewis (Philip) Monteagle, Florence Allen (Andrew) Antigonish, Ruth Smith (Rick) Salisbury, Judy Smith (Norman) Riverview, Joanne Simpell (Eugene) Lakeside, Sharon Doucette (Jim) North Bay On. Survived also by a brother Andrew (Elva) B.C., sister Alice Williams (Victor) N.S., daughters in law Peggy and Jackie and by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Douglas, sister Daisy Berry, brother Charles.

The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday June 2 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Sterling Penny officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.

Blair Willis Leeman
Blair Willis Leeman, 70, of Scott Road passed away Saturday June 5, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Cherryvale he was a son of the late Blair and Marion (Ayles) Leaman.
Blair was a retired truck driver and loved the outdoors especially fishing.
He will be sadly missed by his devoted daughter Marion Lines (Kevin) with whom he resided and their daughters Christina and Karla, a sister Eileen Collier, On., a brother Allison Leaman, Rexton, several half brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Dorothy Duff, brother Donald, nephew Neil.
Family Graveside Service will be held at the Wheaton Settlement Cemetery, Wednesday June 9 at 7 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd O’Blenes officiating.

Earl Stewart Corey
Earl Stewart Corey, 74, of Main Street Salisbury and formerly Havelock passed away Friday May 14, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Forks Stream he was a son of the late Nase and Cora (Kierstead) Corey. Earl retired from Canada Cement Lafarge, Havelock as a repairman with over 35 years service. He was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church and enjoyed walking and gardening.
Survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Dorothy (Kierstead), children Laurel Corey of Moncton, Michael (Kathy) of Petitcodiac, Lenora Kelly (Dan) of Salisbury, grandchildren Matthew and Kaitlin Corey, Amanda O’Blenis (Danny) and Megan Kelly. Survived also by sisters Flossie Hebert (Edgar) of Moncton, Lois Moss (Stanley) of Havelock, brothers Warren (Marguerite) of Havelock, Willis (Helen) and Mac (Pat) of Moncton, Fred (Carletta) of Petitcodiac and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Marion.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday May 17 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Interment will be in the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.

Gregory J. Ogilvie
Gregory James (Ace) Ogilvie, 50, of Glencarin Dr., Moncton passed away Saturday August 7, 2004 at home.
Born in Moncton he was a son of Jean (Eagles) Ogilvie and the late Leroy Ogilvie. Greg was an employee of Master Packaging in Dieppe and a former employee of C.N.R.. He was an avid sportsman who loved hockey, football and baseball.
Greg will be sadly missed by his mother Jean of Moncton, his wife of 26 years Susan (Saunders), his beloved son Matthew at home, sisters Judy Boudreau (Robert), Saint John, Debbie Lessard (John), Moncton, Susan Runham (Jim) Belleview On., brothers Dayne (Gary), Toronto, Courtney, Qualicum B.C.. Survived also by his in laws Robert and Bertha Saunders, Petitcodiac, brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers David and Danny.

Helen Louise Colborne
Helen Louise Colborne, 78, of Salisbury passed away Monday August 9, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Moncton she was a daughter of the late Burton and Hazel (Lewis) Dobson.
A homemaker she was a member of Second North River Baptist Church and the Monday Morning Merry Makers.
Survived by daughters Hazel Munroe, Sussex; Linda Constantine (Edwin), Sharon Smith (Michael), Salisbury; Janet Arsenault, Harewood; Dorothy Colborne, Perth Andover; sons Gerald, Colpitts Settlement; Lorne (Debbie), Salisbury; a sister Marion Marshall, Moncton; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Neil (1978), infant daughter Mora, sister Ruth Steeves, brothers Lloyd and Raymond Dobson, grandson Jason Arsenault, daughter in law Lydia Colborne, sons in law Calvin Munroe and Preston Johnston.

Herman E. Lawrence
Monteagle : Herman Everett Lawrence, 78, of Monteagle passed away Monday August 9, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Upper Coverdale he was a son of the late George and Betsy (Tilbert) Lawrence. Herman was a retired heavy equipment operator and mechanic.
Survived by foster sons Robert Cass and Robin Wilson, brothers Leonard (Kay) of Moncton, Gordon of Salisbury, Duncan (Faye) of Havelock and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Bertie (1997), an infant son Daniel.
