Evelyn Alda McCormick
Evelyn McCormick of Salisbury, formerly of Synton, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at The Moncton Hospital following a brief illness.
Born on Gowland Mountain, Albert Co. on February 5, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Mrs.Viola Carter Wilson, Elgin. She resided mostly with her grandparents, Ralph & Jane Carter, Elgin.
She was a member of Five Points Baptist Church, Salisbury Lioness Club, Salisbury Golden Age Club, Monday Morning Merry Makers and previously served as an active volunteer with Saint John Ambulance for many years.
She is survived by daughters, Betty O’Neill of Synton, Joan Lutes (Don) of Moncton, Darlene Cummins (Kirk) of Petitcodiac and son-in-law Bert Nicol of Moncton. Also survived by grandchildren, David, Dwight and Dwayne Mann, Michael Lutes and Susan Porter, Mark, Adam and Aaron Nicol, Brett, Ashley and Scott Cummins; 8 great grandchildren, Cassandra, Jeremy, Sheldon, Katlyn, Kelsey, Kayla, Megan, Dru; 4 great great grandchildren, Demetri, Mackenzie, Colin, Isaiah. Also survived by sister-in-law Pat Wilson and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Harvey (1998), daughter Judy Nicol (1993), sons-in-law Albert Mann (1982) and Larry O’Neill (2004), brother Raymond Wilson (1990), sister Norma Colpitts (1997).
The family will receive relatives and friends at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Monday, August 23, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 24 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Shawn Kehoe officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Steeves. Reception to follow. Interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

Russell R. White
Russell Ralph White, 56, of Grub Road, Salisbury passed away Saturday August 28, 2004 at home. Born at Pine Glenn he was the son of the late Beulah White Steeves. Russell was a bus driver with School District # 2 in Salisbury and was an automobile appraiser with M.R. Appraisal Service in Salisbury and in his early working years he was an autobody repairman. He was a member of the Petitcodiac Sportsman Club, The Salisbury Legion Branch # 31 and a former member of the Salisbury Lions Club.
A beloved husband and father he will be deeply missed by his wife of 34 years the former Myrna Smith, his daughters Stephanie White-Copp (Graham) of Alma, Corrin White (Tony Duff) of Salisbury, grandchildren Madison and Colson, two sisters, many nieces, nephews and good friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Monday 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be Tuesday August 31 at 11 A.M. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Beers officiating. Refreshments to follow.

Walter Babkirk
Walter (Wally) Lawrence Floyd Babkirk, 28, of Salisbury passed away Saturday August 28, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Moncton he was employed as a warehouse manager with President Tire, Moncton. Wally enjoyed the outdoors especially on his motorcycle.
He will be sadly missed by his mother the former Carol Taylor and her companion Stewart of Salisbury, his father David of Ontario, his cherished son Cody and his mother Kim McPhee of Salisbury, his companion Vickie Lee and her daughter Allie of Salisbury, a sister Kyla Gallant (Scott) of Point de Chene, a brother Josh (Joyce) of Salisbury, a nephew Brady, a niece Trinity, grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins and many close friends.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday September 1 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.

John R. MacDougall
Jemseg - John Ross MacDougall, 79 of Jemseg passed away Saturday December 20, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton.
Born in Amherst a son of the late Jean MacDougall he was raised in Salisbury at the home of Mary Crisp. John was the proprietor of the former MacDougall’s Convenience Store in River Glade. In earlier years he worked as a carpenter and farmer.
He was a dedicated father and loving husband of over 58 years to Cora J. (O’Blenis), daughters Barbara White and Sharon Ward (Moe) of Riverview, Louise Allain (Dave) of Moncton, Rhonda Kilcollins (Ronald) of Florenceville, sons Ross (Lucie) of Fredericton, Warren (Rachel) of High Prairie A.B., several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Stewart.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday December 23 at 2 p.m. with Rev. K. Zwicker officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury at a later date.

Shirley June Robinson Hopper
Shirley June Robinson Hopper, 80, of Main Street Salisbury passed away Monday December 22, 2003 at home.
Born in Moncton she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Audrey (Peck) Steeves.
She was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church, a past Matron of the O.E.S., and was the proprietor of Village East Mobile and Mini Home Subdivision in Salisbury. Shirley enjoyed reading, knitting and watching old movies. Shopping, eating out and spending time at the cottage were favored pastimes. She took great pride in her grandchildren and loved to spend time with family and friends.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her children David Robinson (Shirley) of Erin On., Debra Hopper (Paul Melanson) of Rexton, Russell C. (Rusty) (Donna) of Salisbury, Deanne Perry (Dwight) of Upper Coverdale, grandchildren Stephen, Kenneth and Brian Robinson, Jenny, Justin and Katie Melanson, Alex and Jill Hopper, Jared and Hilary Shirley Perry, two great grandchildren Brandie and Colton Robinson and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Russell M. Hopper a brother Clyde Steeves.

Sherwood Arthur Steeves
Sherwood Arthur Steeves of Nixon passed away Wednesday December 31, 2003 at home.
Born at Steeves Mountain he was a son of the late Noble and Lillian (Steeves) Steeves. Sherwood was a retired carpenter and a member of the Nixon Baptist Church.
Survived by his wife Marion, children Michael (Phyllys), Dorchester, Dian Casey (Mike), Fredericton, Susan Cormier (Joseph), Whitby On., Cheryl Steeves and Brenda Steeves, Nixon, Wade (Brenda) of Colpitts Settlement, five grandsons, three granddaughters, four sisters, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, three sisters.

Aimee LeBlanc
Aimee LeBlanc, 79, of Petitcodiac passed away Sunday September 26, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Montreal he was a son of the late Blair and Dometile (Gould) LeBlanc. Aimee retired as an orderly from the former Jordan Memorial Home with 35 years service and was a past Secretary-Treasurer with CUPE Local 1251. He attended St. Thomas R.C. Church in St. Joseph and was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 50 years Arilda (Martin), cherished children Brenda Sylvester (Michael), New Port Richey Fla., Linda Crossman (Gary), Moncton, Sandra MacNeil (Gerald), Dartmouth, Terry LeBlanc (Shelly), Moncton, grandchildren Michell, Corey, Nicole, Lucas and Raelyn and a great grandson Cameron. Survived also by sisters Zellie LeBlanc (Arthur), Gertrude Legere (Roger) of St. Joseph and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Wallace, Leonard and Edgar and a sister Marie Gaudet.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. at Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 LaVallee, Memramcook until departure for Funeral at St. Thomas de Memramcook Church, St. Joseph at 4 p.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
