E. Jean Currie
Jean Currie, 81, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday September 29, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Woodstock she was a daughter of the late William T. and Maude (Gentle) Ashe.
A homemaker in her earlier working years she was employed with NB Tel first as a switch board operator and later supervisor in Woodstock. She was a member of the Salisbury United Church of Canada, a member of the Brunswick Rebekah Lodge No. 44, Woodstock and was a former volunteer with meals to seniors from the Jordan Home.
Survived by her devoted daughter Kimberly Leffley (Terry) and cherished granddaughters Kristen and Holly of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her husband Arthur (2003), daughter Linda Lee (1972), sisters Edna, Eileen, Jenny and a brother George.
The family will receive visitors at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Sunday from 6-9 p.m.
The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 4 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kathleen Zwicker officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.

Gerald H. Braam
Upper Coverdale - It is with great sadness that the family announce that Gerald Braam has lost his battle with cancer on Monday Oct 4, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in the Netherlands on May 8, 1930 he and his bride Annie married and immigrated to Canada in 1955 to pursue their love of farming. After farming Gerald joined D.H.A.S. as a milk tester and also worked part-time for Eastern Breeders . Gerald’s greatest joy was watching his children grow into adulthood with families of their own. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Annie, six children Henry (Shellay) of Leduc A.B., Rita McKinley (Mark) of Riverview, John (Maria) of Saint John, Wilma Hicks (Bob) of Moncton, Janet Braam (Stan) of Toronto, Steven (Stacia) of Calgary, eight grandchildren Marney Braam, Meaghan, Courtney and Matthew McKinley, Sarah and Eric Braam, Patrick and Katherine Hicks. Survived also by two sisters and a brother in the Netherlands by a sister in law in the Netherlands and a sister in law in Hillsborough and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five brothers and a sister.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday 6-9 p.m. Prayers and a memory celebration will be held at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Jude’s Church in Salisbury on Thursday October 7 at 11 a.m. Interment at Our Lady Of Mercy Cemetery, Leaman Hill.

James A. Tingley
James Arthur Tingley, 85, formerly of Royal Court Riverview and Nixon, Colpitts Settlement passed away Tuesday October 5, 2004 at the K. E. Spencer Home, Moncton.
Born in Lewisville he was a son of the late Arthur and Eliza (McRae) Tingley. At age three he moved with his family to the farm in Colpitts Settlement where he continued to live and farm until his retirement. In the early working years he also operated a trucking business hauling milk and cream to Sussex and pit props for the war effort. He was a road supervisor for Coverdale Parish and a County Councilor from 1952-1958. Jim was a Charter member of Co-Operative Farm Services and served on their Board of Directors for forty years. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Maritime Co-Op. Jim was an active member and former Deacon of the Middlesex Baptist Church and with his generosity and assistance the Middlesex Cemetery was expanded and reorganized.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years Ivy (Mesheau), five daughters Gloria Jameson (Herbert), Joyce Quigley (Gerald) of Colpitts Settlement, Marilyn Hall (Cyril), Miramichi, Marlene Hickman (Robert), Dorchester, Janet Richard, Moncton, three sons Ralph (Donna), Mark (Jacqueline) of Colpitts Settlement, Roger (Bonita), Charlestown WV., USA, a sister Vera McFarlane, 26 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Douglas, Frank, John Edward and Earl, sisters Bertha Hopper, Irene Hall, grandson Jeffrey Hall.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday October 8 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating assisted by Rev. Mark Smith. Interment will be at the Middlesex Cemetery.

Albert Perry
Havelock - Albert Clyde Perry, 67, of K. E. Spencer Home, Moncton and formerly Havelock passed away at the home on Thursday October 7, 2004.
Born in Havelock Albert was a son of the late Clyde and Edna (Thorne) Perry. He was a member of the Havelock Baptist Church.
Survived by sisters Myrna Hicks (Gordon), Havelock, Doris Sherrard (Gordon), Moncton, brother Lorne (Verna), Havelock and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Ralph.
Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlor, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting hours Friday 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Havelock Baptist Church on Saturday October 9 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Hatt officiating. Interment in the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.
Dorothy (Dot) Catherine Archibald
Dorothy (Dot) Catherine Archibald, 73, of Salisbury passed away Saturday October 9, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Moncton she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ethel (Thomas) Blakney.
Dot was a retired employee of Canada Post and in retirement she opened the doors of her home as the owner – operator of Salisbury Bed and Breakfast where many a weary traveler enjoyed her hospitality. Dot had a zest for life which was evident to anyone who knew her. She taught country line dancing and created the Cadillac Ranch Dancers and was part of the Mud River Cloggers. She also operated the House of Clay Ceramics in her home.
She will be sadly missed by her children Wendy Taylor (Terry), and Ricci (Sandra) of Salisbury, grandchildren Katie, Becky, Jenna, Alyson and Caleb. Survived also by Connie Keating (Ricky), Upper Coverdale who she regarded as a daughter and their sons Lucas and Markus, a beloved brother Fred (Spike) Blakney (Joan), Salisbury, a nephew Trent Blakney (Nancy) and their sons Rylan and Braden, Salisbury West, a niece Heather Blakney, Calgary, a special friend for over 46 years George Hurrie and many good friends.

Inez R. O’Blenis
Inez Rita O’Blenis, 81, of K.E. Spencer Home Moncton and formerly Salisbury passed away at the home on Saturday October 9, 2004.
Born in Havelock she was a daughter of the late James and Hazel (Sears)Ogilvie. Inez was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 31, Salisbury and was an avid sports fan especially baseball and enjoyed playing board games and cards with family and friends.
Survived by her children Allan (Mary Lyn), Miramichi and Moncton, Carol Blomsma, Quispamsis, Eric (Wendy), Dartmouth, Debby Brown (Mike), Upper Coverdale, Betty Chapman (Danny), Terry, Bobby and Mark all of Salisbury, eight grandchildren, a brother Floyd Ogilvie, Salisbury, a sister Marion Murphy (Jack), Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ronald (2001), son in law Bill Blomsma, brother Ronald Ogilvie.

Shirley Catherine Douthwright
Shirley Catherine Douthwright, 69, of Salisbury passed away Monday October 11, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Calhoun she was a daughter of the late Roy and Flora (Thompson) Atkinson. Shirley was a retired employee of the K&B; Takeout in Salisbury and was a member of the Five Points Baptist Church, a former member of the Salisbury Lioness and the former Salisbury Women’s Institute.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her husband of 48 years Sydney, children Rodney (Cindy), Unice MacLeod (Tim) of Monteagle, grandchildren Brandon, Erika, Josh and Zachary, brothers Claude, Ralph, Wayne and Michael Atkinson of Calhoun, a sister Debbie McCully of Hillgrove and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Charlie Atkinson, sister Thelma Stewart.
