GARVEY, Lillian Estella

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of LILLIAN ESTELLA GARVEY (nee Roberts), widow of the late John Ronald Garvey, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on August 9th, 2008. Lillian was born in Roberts’ Island, Nova Scotia in 1914 to the late Clifton Woods Roberts and Erma (Spinney) Roberts.
Lillian will be missed by her son John Richard (Delores) of Fredericton, daughters, Cheryl Davidson of Campbell River, BC and Marilyn (David) Merke of British Columbia, sisters Deborah McInnis, Phyllis (Otty) Glenn and Ruth (Floyd) Murray, nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great grand children, nieces, nephews along with many friends including Gladys Tapley. Along with her parents and husband, Lillian was also predeceased by a son Clifton, a grandson Jeremy, brothers Lloyd, Wilbur (Bud) and sister Clara.
Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Tuesday, August 12, 2008 when funeral services will be held from the Second Chipman United Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m.with Rev. David Egers officiating. Interment to follow at the Second Chipman United Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The ladies auxiliary will hold a tribute service for Lillian on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m. In Remembrance of Lillian donations may be made to the Second Chipman United Baptist Church.

HAMM, GEORGETTA (JEAN) LOUISE - At the Mill Cove Nursing Home, on Saturday, January 1st, 2005 GEORGETTA (JEAN) LOUISE HAMM, age 88 years; Predeceased by her husband Blake Hamm, by parents George and Margaret (Myles) Damgard; by brother Eric Damgard; by sisters Nanny Elizabeth Hargreaves and Hazel Damgard; Survived by sister Marjorie Ayles of Saint John and many nieces and nephews.Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Monday when funeral services will be held from All Saints Anglican Church, Bagdad, at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Brenda McKnight officiating. Interment in the Waterborough Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Waterborough Baptist Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
ELLIOTT, Frances Arlene
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Frances Arlene Elliott at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton on September 30, 2008. Frances was the wife of the late Stewart Elliott. She was 82 years of age. Born in Kingscroft, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jarvis and Zella (McAllister) Brown. She throughly enjoyed her "girl trips" to Fredericton with her sister, Florence, and the social suppers and events she attended. Family get-to-gathers were a highlight for her. Frances was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many people. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Frances is survived by her daughters, Pauline (Don) Merrill of Boiestown and Wanda Elliott (Leo Pye) of Rothesay; by her son, Eric (Nicole) Elliott of Douglas; by five grandchildren, Donnie Merrill Jr. (Lisa Francis) of Kingston, Ontario, Jody Merrill of Boiestown, Michael and Nicholas Connolly of Rothesay and Amber Elliott of Douglas; by two great-grandchildren, Jennaya and Devin Merrill of Kingston; by three sisters Vera Kelly (Milfred) of Aroostock, Ronella Ogden of Old Town, Maine, and Florence (Rowan) McRae of Midland; two sister-in-laws, Olive Brown and Jean Brown each of Chipman. In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by brothers Abner and Beverly Brown and by sisters Della Copeland and Olive McAllister.
Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Friday when funeral service will be held from the Chipman Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Sisco officiating, followed by interment at Red Bank United Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA, Heart and Stroke Association, or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. .

FANJOY, JOSEPH HARRY - Joseph Harry Fanjoy passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital, on Friday January 19th, 2007; Survived by his wife, Norene (Bishop) Fanjoy, of Union Settlement; by two sons, David (Mary) Fanjoy and Darren Fanjoy of Union Settlement; by daughters Mary Ann (Chris) Gahan of Bagdad and Linda (Tom) Perry of Summerside; by seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacey, Lindsay, Travis, Jared, Ryan and Michael; and by sister Muriel Fanjoy of Union Settlement. He was predeceased by his daughter Rose Wright in 2001. Harry was affiliated with Branch Number 60 Legion for many years and a member of the Waterborough Baptist Church.Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Sunday when funeral service will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harry Branscombe officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. Donations to the Waterborough Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.

GARVEY, SARA RUTH CLARA – It is with great sadness that the family of Sara Garvey (Sally) announce her sudden passing at her home in Vancouver BC on October 29, 2011. Sara was formerly from Chipman NB, born February 21, 1961 to Christopher and Leona (Fidler) Garvey, survived by her mother Leona Garvey of Chipman NB, a son Justin Caudwell of Vancouver BC two brothers Michael and Laurie (Betty) Garvey, Suzanne (David ) Fanjoy, and Jennifer Hargrove all of chipman NB an Uncle Michael Fidler (Darlene Knox) and an Aunt Cheryl Dickinson, many cousins, neices and nephews. Sara was predeceased by her father Christopher Garvey in 2007. A celebration of Sara’s life was held at the All Saints Anglican Church in Chipman NB on Sunday November 13, 2011 with Rev Payne officiating.

FERRIS, KENNETH MACDONALD - Kenneth MacDonald Ferris passed away on August 19th, 2007 after a lengthy illness at the Mill Cove Nursing Home at the age of 99 years.He was born November 17, 1907 in Union Settlement, N.B., son of the late William and Adelia (Thorne) Ferris.Kenneth worked at the Irving Lumber Mill in Chipman, later self employed. A life member of the former Bethel Pentecostal Assembly, now known as the Mill Cove Church of God in Mill Cove, N.B. Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors which his interests included gardening, hunting, and nature itself.He was a devoted father to five children, Melvin (Sharon), Sterling (Gloria), Doreen (Bud) Adamson, Reginald (Shirley) all of Mill Cove, N.B., and Cheryl (Glen) McLaughlin of Grafton, N.B. Kenneth is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.Predeceased by his loving wife, Thelma (Moss) Ferris; and two infant children, Blanche and Eldon; three sisters, Ellen Barton, Cleola Ferris, and Marcia Vail; and two brothers, Henry and Clarence Ferris.Kenneth will be resting at the Mill Cove Church of God, Mill Cove, N.B. with visitation on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 from 7 to 9 pm, and the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 2 pm with Pastor’s Phil Siggelkow and Reginald Ferris officiating.Internment will be at the Mill Cove Church of God Cemetery, in Mill Cove, N.B. following the funeral service.In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated by the family if donations were made to the Mill Cove Church of God Cemetery Fund or the Mill Cove Nursing Home Activity Department.

BARTON, JEAN JESSIE - On Friday, September 29th, 2006 JEAN JESSIE BARTON, passed this life at the age of 70 years. Survived by her children, Gregory (Judy) Barton of Echo Lake, Nova Scotia, Sherry (Gary) Barton of Chipman, Pam (John) Robichaud of Saint John and Deanna (Timothy) Chambers of Chipman; by her brother Lloyd (Nina) Fulton of Saint John; by her sisters, Florence (Winston) Quigley of Minto, Zetta Barton of Minto and Cathy (Ivan) Vautour of Bronson, and by seven grandchildren, Bobby, Barbara-Jean, Jamie, Jeffie, Travis, Trevor and Tyler. She was predeceased by her son Robert Barton and sisters Margaret McGlashen and Deborah Craft. Funeral Services will be held Monday from the Christian Life Centre at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Sisco officiating. Interment in the Full Gospel Pentecostal Cemetery, Minto. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Heart Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
