Lillian Losier

Bathurst - Mrs. Lillian Losier, 92, wife of Edgar Losier, of Bridge St. Bathurst passed away on Wednesday (July 30, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Ellen (Chamberlain) Roy. Lillian was the last living member of her immediate family. Besides her loving and devoted husband, Edgar of 71 years, she will be lovingly remembered by three daughters, Alvina (Amédée) Guitard, Rita (Fred) Stever, Glenda (Bernard) Jacques, all of Bathurst; two sons, Emile (Marcella) Losier, David Losier, both of Bathurst; a niece, Marcella (Raymond) Roy and a granddaughter Maureen Hachey; 17 Grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Edgar and Stanford; also sisters, Muriel and Bertha predeceased her. Visitation was at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday August 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. Bathurst. Burial was in the St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Mary's Avenue in Bathurst.

Grégoire Frenette

Bathurst - Grégoire Frenette, 84, of Ste Anne St., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (July 31, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Robertville, he was the son of the late Apollinaire & Marie Anne (Cormier) Frenette. He was a former employee of Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill for over 36 years and was a former member of the Herman J. Good V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. Because of his rare blood type, he gave to the Canadian Blood Services for many years. Besides his wife, Gloria (Hadley) Frenette, he is survived by two sons, Robert (Marie) of Bathurst, Fred (Lillian) of Pugwash, NS; two daughters, Patricia DeGrace (James) of Bathurst, Suzanne Comeau (Danny) of Robertville; three brothers, Alphonse (Lucie) and Vincent (Josephine), both of Robertville, Julien (Gilberte) of Montreal, Que; three sisters, Juliette Frenette (Clovis) and Valérie Lavigne both of Robertville, Agathe Mallet of Montreal, Que; one sister-in-law, Marie-Anne Lavigne Frenette of Bathurst; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Also pre-deceased by two sisters, Ezella and Rita and three brothers Auguste, Lionel, and Emile; Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday morning (August 4, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial was in the Holy Family Cemetery, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Grégoire, may be made to a charity of the donors choice.

Glenna May Munn

The death of Glenna May Munn, wife of Brian Munn, of Morna Court, Saint John West, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. She was born in Bathurst, NB, on June 12, 1950, to Hilda (Jennings) and the late Clifford Rodgers. Glenna was a Kindergarten Teacher at Morna Heights Elementary School. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, Christopher Munn (Julie Clinton) of Saint John, NB; twin daughters Erin and Lindsay Munn (James Collins), both of Saint John, NB; one sister, Joyce Daley (Glen) of Bathurst, NB; one niece, Dawn of Edmonton, AB; and one nephew, Andrew of Moncton, NB. Other than her father, Glenna was predeceased by her infant daughter Jennifer Lynn Munn (1982); brother Bill Rodgers; and infant sister Catherine Gail Rodgers. Resting at River Valley Wesleyan Church, 45 Ridge Way, Grand Bay-Westfield, with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2008, at 2 p.m. Private family interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Joe Gagne

The death of Joe Gagne of Belledune occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the age of 79. Born in Benjamin, he was the son of the late Myles Gagne & the late Leona (Allard). He is survived by his wife, Corrine (Cormier); children, Raymond (Cynthia) of Hamilton, ON, Deborah Gagne of Belledune, Bryan of St.John, Charlaine Guitar, Ont., Glenda Gagne (Peter) of Jacquet River, Rachelle Gagne of St.John; stepson, Joseph Craig Lavigne of Atholville; 12 grandchildren; and sisters, Rose Marie Belliveau & Doreen LaPointe. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Norman & sister, Alfreda. His funeral was held from St.John the Evangelist Church, Belledune, Saturday, July 26, 2008 with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Trevor Guitar, Jacob Doyle, Aaron Doyle, Ryan Gagner, Shelby Audet, & John Gagne. Honorary pallbearers were Kyle LaPointe, Keeghan Audet & Alex Gagne. Kevin Joseph Richard

It is with great sadness, that we announce the death of Kevin Joseph Richard, son of Bob and Helen Richard, Miramichi, New Brunswick, at the age of 52. Kevin passed away peacefully with his family by his side at McMaster University Medical Centre, Hamilton, Ontario on July 25, 2008. Besides his parents, Kevin is survived by his wife Claire (nee McCracken), sons Shane, Logan and Luke, brothers Dale Richard, Tony Richard, sisters Paula Richard, Kristy Richard and Jill Cormier of Miramichi. Kevin rested at Doddsworth and Brown Funeral Home, Hamilton, Ontario on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Funeral mass was celebrated at St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church, Hamilton, Ontario on Monday, July 28, 2008. Rememberances can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Basilica August 16, 2008 at 11 am.

TRENHOLM, REBECCA ANN

The funeral of Rebecca (Becky) Ann Trenholm of Kingston, wife of Hugh Macdonald, was held on Thursday, July 31, 2008, in the chapel of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB where the service was conducted by her nephew, Rev. Jason Johnstone. A Scripture Reading was done by her niece, Emita Talbot. A prayer was read by Jeff Goodwin. Eulogies were delivered by Hugh Hines, Ruth Johnstone and Rick Trenholm, who also did the closing prayer. The music ministry was provided by Norman Murray. Rev. Art Sauler, Rev. Don Raymer, Rev. Don Moore, Pastor Vaden Sutherland, Rev. Gordon O'Coin, Rev. Jeff Goodwin (brother-in-law), Rev. Doug Moore (Superintendent of PAOC, Maritime Region), and Rev. Russell Knowles (Assistant Superintendent, PAOC, Maritime Region) were present in the congregation. The honourary pallbearers were: Jeremy Johnstone, Nick Goodwin, Devin Trenholm, Caitlin Trenholm, Jason Campbell, Jeff Campbell, Scott Chamberlain, and Joseph Hines. Among the numerous floral and spiritual tributes received by the family were those from: Lyttleton Pentecostal Church; Pastor, Board, and Congregation of Calvary Christian Church; Congregation of Kenata Pentecostal Church; Aliant CTO; Management and Staff of Downey Ford; The BOW Girls.

MCMILLAN, DOROTHY E.

The funeral for Dorothy Eleanor McMillan of Renforth N.B, wife of the late Harry T. McMillan was held on Monday July 28, 2008 in the chapel of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home. The service was conducted by Rev. Brenda Schyf. The message was entitled "The Heritage You Leave Behind". Soloists were the Dobson sisters, selections included, "In the Bulb there is a Flower"; and "Beyond the Sunset", accompanied by Barry Snodgrass on the organ. Three grandchildren, Christopher McMillan, Sherry (McMillan) Lumsden and Wendy (Graham) Cummings spoke on fond memories and the heritage of faith left behind by nannie McMillan. The pallbearers were: Christopher McMillan, Glenn Graham, Murray Hamilton, Wayne Hamilton, Glen Lumsden and Brent Cummings. Among the numerous floral tributes were those from Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Irving and family; the Dobson group and Robin and staff of Little John's Variety. Donations made in memory of Dorothy were given to Glen View United Church Memorial Fund; Heart and Stroke Foundation of N.B.; Canadian Cancer Society; John T. McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation. Main St. Baptist Church; Community Living; Multiple Sclerosis Foundation; Gideon's Bibles International; Romero House; Toronto Sick Children's Hospital; Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada; Saint Joseph's Hospital Foundation; N.B. Children's Foundation of the N.B. Protestant Orphans Home and the Alzheimer Society of N.B. Interment took place in Erb's Cove Baptist Church Cemetery.

MILLER, REGINALD J.

The funeral mass for Reginald J. Miller was held from Fundy Funeral Home to St. Joachim's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Father Raymond Stack on Saturday August 2, 2008. Father Stack was assisted by Father Don Breen and by the altar servers of St. Joachim's Church. The inter-parochial choir was directed by Douglas Murphy and accompanied by organist Rita Brooks. The flutist was Sarah LeBlanc, granddaughter, and the soloist was Edmund McDermott. The readings were proclaimed by daughters Linda LeBlanc and Anne Stroud, and the intercessions were read by granddaughters Sarah LeBlanc and Anna Stroud. The pallbearers were grandsons Matthew and Robert Stroud, Ben and Kevin Gorham, and Peter and Mark LeBlanc. Beautiful floral tributes were received from Colleagues at Veterans Affairs, the One Match Team at Canadian Blood Services, Local 60006 Veterans Affairs Employees, Management and Staff of the John Howard Society as well as from family and friends. Donations made to the St. Joachim's Building Fund, the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation and the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital, included those from Canadian Blood Services and the Early Intervention Board and Staff. A donation was made to the Children's Wish Foundation from the Gondola Point Grocery. Other donations were made by family and friends to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, New Brunswick Lung Association, Unicef, St. Bridget's Church and Loch Lomond Villa Foundation. Many sympathy cards, Mass cards and e-mails were also received. The interment took place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, followed by a reception in St. Joachim's Church Hall. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank our friends, relatives and colleagues who visited at Fundy Funeral Home, and who attended Reg's funeral mass. We would also like to thank those who showed their concern with gifts of food, including Romano's. Special thanks go to Fathers Raymond Stack, Don Breen, Aaron Knox, Brian Hansen, Paul Doucette and Monsignor Brian Sheehan. The family appreciates the assistance provided by the various ministries at St. Joachim's, including the Music and Bereavement ministries, the altar servers, and those who served at the reception. We are grateful for the excellent care Reg received from the Extramural Team, staff of Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, and from Sharon of Bayshore Home Health Care, and Heather of We Care.

MCCORMICK, J. T. ROY

The funeral of J. T. Roy McCormick, husband of the late Olive M. (McCluskey) McCormick, was held from St. Joachim's Church where Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Aaron Knox. The soloist and organist was Marilyn Williams. The lay-readers were Nichole Fox (granddaughter) and Neil Morrison (son-in-law). The Prayer of the Faithful was led by Douglas McCormick (nephew). Members of the Saint John Fire Department formed an Honour Guard at the Church. The pallbearers were District Chief Eric Garland, Capt. Daniel Paul, Lt. Philip Lynch, Lt. Brice Watson, Lt. Wayne Connelly, and Fire Fighter Frederick Branston. Among the floral tributes received were those from Fire Chief Rob Simonds and the Administration Staff; and Staff of Centerbeam. A donation to St. Mary's-St. Bartholomew's Church was received from the Tuesday Girls. A donation to the Alzheimer Society of N.B. was received from the staff of 4CS. Donations were also received to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation; the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation; St. Joachim's Church Building Fund; and the Canadian Cancer Society. Following cremation, interment took place in St. Joseph's Cemetery with prayers at the grave by Deacon Robert Freill.
