Phoebe Pearl Bell

Hoyt, New Brunswick

Bell - Phoebe Pearl (Mersereau) Bell of Hoyt, NB passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on January 3, 2009 at the age of 96, just 17 days away from her 97 birthday. Pearl is survived by two sons Douglas (Donna) of Hampton NB and Donald (Rosalind) of Garnett Settlement NB, one sister Annie Moore of Hoyt NB, one brother Lloyd Mersereau of Hoyt NB, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews including a special niece Sharis Mersereau, who was a great companion and help to her. Pearl was a member of Blissville Baptist Church and was a Homemaker to her family. She is predeceased by her parents Alma (Patchell) and Manzer Mersereau, by her husband George Bell, one sister Hazel Mersereau, four brothers: George, Ford, Marvin and Fred Mersereau and a daughter-in-law Patricia Bell.
There will be no visitation at the family's request . Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral service at Sunbury Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Sharing in service will be Pastor Gary Gray and Rev. Bob Johnson. Interment will be in the spring in the Blissville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers you may express your sympathy by making a donation to the Blissville Baptist Church or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, N. B. (368-2413).

Garry Brooks

BROOKS - It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of GARRY ARTHUR BROOKS of Fredericton Junction. He died as the result of an industrial accident at Fredericton Junction, N. B. on June 11, 2009 at the age of 64. Garry is survived by his wife Heather (Bingham) Brooks, his father Emery A. Brooks, one son Darren Brooks (Michelle) of Fredericton Junction , one sister Carol McIntyre (Brian) of St. Martins, one brother Derrick Brooks (Janice) of Thunder Bay, Ont., 2 grandchildren: Taylor and Andrew Brooks, several nieces & nephews. Garry was the owner operator of Garry Brooks Construction Ltd. and he and his wife Heather were former owner operators of A W Robinson General Store . He was very active in the community and was a member of: Royal Canadian Branch #55, Fredericton Junction Fire Department where he was a Past Fire Chief. Garry was very active in Tri-County Activities and was very proud of being known as the ICEMAN. He served in the Canadian Arm Forces from 1963 to 1980 and he was a proud member of the Black Watch Regiment.
He is predeceased by his mother Ruby (MacDonald) Brooks.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family at Sunbury Funeral Home on Sunday June 14, 2-4 and 7-9. There will be a Black Watch Tribute at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be from the Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church on June 15, 2009 at 3 PM with Rev. James Harrison officiating. Interment will be in Gladstone Cemetery at a later date. You may express your sympathy by making a donation to Tri-County Complex . William Moore

Hoyt, New Brunswick

Moore - William Manzer Moore of Hoyt, NB, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on January 10, 2009. Born July 8, 1943, in Hoyt, NB, he was the son of Clifford D. and Annie (Mersereau) Moore. William is survived by his mother, Annie Moore, and brother, Nelson Moore, both of Hoyt, NB, sister Dorothy Moore of Fredericton, NB, along with an uncle, aunts and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Clifford D. Moore.
At William's request there will be no visitation. A grave-side service will be held in the spring at the Blissville Cemetery, Hoyt, NB, with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. For those wishing to make a contribution in William's memory, donations may be made to the NB Lung Association or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, NB (368-2413).

Harris - Carl Ray Harris of Fredericton passed away on June 10, 2009 at the age of 54. Carl is survived by his mother Hilda Ball of Fredericton, four sisters Shirley (Lloyd Thomas), Barb (Bill Wall), Joan (Norman LaPointe) and Donna; two brothers, Leonard (Jeanette) and Allan (Tehwauna), special Aunt Marie, several nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Carl was employed as a building cleaner with Omni. He is predeceased by two sisters; Edna and Marlene. Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home, Friday June 12, 2009 7-9pm. Funeral service will be from Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church on June 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Leo Porter officiating. Interment to follow in the Tracy Baptist Cemetery. Knorr - Lawrence Ronald Knorr of Hoyt, NB passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on June 16, 2009 at the age of 77. Lawrence is survived by his wife Ruth Wilcox, three sons; Larry (Tana Scullion), Neil (Anna Stewart), and Ernie, one sister Betty Flowers (Kenny Simpson), one brother, Leo (Emily Smith) , and a sister-in-law Grace Knorr all of Hoyt. Five grandchildren; Jennifer Knorr (Bobby) Goodwin, Khristal Knorr (Mike Haines), Candice Knorr, Amy Knorr (Josh Drummond), and Tony Knorr , two great grandchildren Kyla and Riley as well as several nieces & nephews. Lawrence was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church and retired from the CPR where he was a Yard man. He was a member NB Antique Auto Club and enjoyed hunting. He is predeceased by his parents Alma (Charlton) and Ernest Knorr, one daughter Heather, and a brother Kenneth Knorr.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home Thursday June 18, 2 - 4 pm and 7- 9 pm for visitation. Funeral service will be from St. Luke's Anglican Church on Friday June 19, 2009 at 2:00 pm with the Bishop George Lemmon officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery. Harris - Beatrice Lillian (Fairweather) (Kierstead) Harris of Vespra, NB passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on June 18, 2009 at the age of 79. Beatrice is survived by her husband Guy Harris, 7 daughters; Judy Jones, Connie Newman-Jones, Amber Kierstead, Mavis Miller, Sharon McCumber, Karen Morton, Dawn Kierstead, 2 sons; Gerald and David Kierstead, 1 sister Leda Welton and 3 Step sisters Mildred Ivan, Anna Northrup and Ruth Brown, 3 brothers; Norman, Ira and Floyd Fairweather. Along with her stepfather Ted Brown, 2 step daughters Valerie Nash & Rita Stairs and 3 step sons Jarvis , Alfred & Wayne Harris, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as several nieces & nephews. Beatrice was a homemaker to her family and was a member of Branch #74 Legion, Chipman, NB and the Minto Seniors Club. She is predeceased by her parents Lillian (Clark) and Otty Fairweather, by her first husband Elmer Kierstead, 3 grandsons, one great granddaughter and one son-in-law.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home Friday June 19 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm for visitations. Brown: Kathleen Myra
Date of Death: May 13th 2002

BROWN - Kathleen Myra Brown (Kay). Born April 20th 1917 in Moncton, New Brunswick (Canada) as Kathleen Myra Trites, daughter of Clifford and Greta Trites, died peacefully in her Victoria home May 13th 2002 at the age of 85.
Survived by her three children, three in-laws, and five grandchildren: Son Christopher Ross and Sheila Brown of La Ronge, Saskatewan; Daughter Wendy Elizabeth and Peter Fox, Grandchildren Tristan, Andrew, and Chelsea Fox of Kenora, Ontario; Son Tim Lawrence and Nancy Brown, Grandchildren Jeremy and Kevan Brown of Victoria British Columbia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lt. Col. Roy Ross Brown of Petitcodiac NB). He graduated with a BA in both science and in law from the University of New Brunswick) who served over seas in WWII, served in Korea, served Judge Advocate General form 1951, and retired from the military in 1965, joining the Department of Justice in Ottawa (Ont.) until his death in 1974. Kathleen was an active member of her communities, being a long time volunteer at the Victoria Art Gallery, skilled bridge player, avid reader, and lover of live theatre, music, and oriental brush painting. She Graduated from Moncton High School, volunteered service during WWII, studied art at the Ontario College of Art & Design, and later in life continued her art studies at the University of Victoria. She had a strong zeal for life, loved her family deeply, and had a keen sense of humour that will be missed by all her knew her.
Services will be held 2pm, September 17th/02, at the Trinity United Church in Shediac, New Brunswick with Interment in Greenwood Cemetery and reception to follow.
