HARRIS, Catherine (Henley) - December 20, 1919 - July 15, 2003. Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick`s Mercy Home surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick), eight brothers and two sisters. Leaving to mourn six sons and two daughters, 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Rick (Judy), children: Rick, Michael, Jennifer and Kristin; John (Jack) (Ann Martin), children: Amelia, Sarah and John; Ann Evans (Fred), children: Mark, Dennis, Colin (wife Wendy and son Tomas Simon) and Luke; Isabel McCall (David), children: Andrew, David and Emily; Peter (Carol Kennedy), children: Quinn and Phelan, Paul (Verna), child: Katherine; Pat (Brenda) and Jim (Yvonne), children: Angela, Michelle and Lauren; also her brother, Alec Henley (Catherine); sister Mary Ellen Henley and sister-in-law Clare Henley; many nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Her family are especially appreciative of the loving atmosphere that she enjoyed during her last years through the caring and devoted staff of St. Patrick`s Mercy Home. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday and Friday 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. Funeral Mass from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2003. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife Verna; 3 sons: Eric (Janice), Montreal, Maxfield, Jr. (Lucy), Halifax and Richard, Halifax; 2 precious grandchildren: Sarah Jane and Patrick; 3 sisters: Lydia Stewart, Rhoda Thornhill, Emma Sexton; sisters-in-law: Marjorie Bungay, Hazel and John Cox, Jean and Horst Kreysrig, Shirley and Bob Smoot, Faye and Erwin Schlecht, Marjorie and Don Kalwa; also a number of nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday; and 10 a.m. to 12 Noon on Saturday. Funeral Service to be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 30th, 2000 from Barrett`s Chapel with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery . MUNRO, Agnes (nee Frew) - Passed peacefully away at the Great Northern Rest Home in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, on July 12, 2003, Agnes Cameron Munro (nee Frew), in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Alister in 1965. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Ann (Chesley) Blackwood and Gillian (Robert) Dickson; sons: John (Lorraine) and William (Diane); ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Miss Helen Frew of Dartmouth, N.S., and Mrs. Muriel Foster of Maidstone, England; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place in Sault Sainte Marie. A family memorial will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one`s choice.

SMITH, Sylvester H. - (1935-2003) Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Tuesday, July 15th, 2003 in the presence of his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer, Sylvester Smith of Thorburn Lake, formerly of Chance Cove, Trinity Bay, aged 67 years. Pre-deceased by his parents William H. and Emma Smith and younger brother Ronald. Left to mourn with precious memories his devoted wife and partner of 40 years, Maisie; four daughters, Dianne (Gary Brace), Chance Cove, Daphne (Rollie Thompson), New Market, Ont., Daisy (Brian Parsons), Southern Harbour, Lori (Rainer Tobias), Fort Sask., Alberta; two sons: Dennis (Marcianne), Dartmouth, N.S., Lawrence (Laura), Lower Island Cove; eleven grandchildren: Justin, and Jeffrey Brace, Jessica, Shawn and Nichleous Parsons, Elyssa, Jonas, Zackery, Breanne, Natasha, and Brittney Germain. Five sisters: Ada Smith, Chance Cove, Una (Albert Smith), Chance Cove, Mary (Donald Brace), Chance Cove, Evelyn Smith, Toronto, Alvina (Reg McGory), Brampton, Ont.; two brothers: Fredrick, Vancouver, B.C., Walter, Sask. Also a special Aunt and Uncle: Ellie and Jushua Smith, Hickman`s Harbour. He will also be forever missed by his many nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends, especially his friends at Thorburn Lake. Leaving to celebrate her life husband and friend of 49 years Fred; daughter Yvonne (Alvin); son Brian (Yvonne); grandchildren: Stephanie (Mike), Dianna (Paul), Michael (Krista), Jonathan, Emma, Sara and Daniel; three great-grandchildren; brothers: Edward (Theresa), Bernard (Lucy) and Gerald; sister Margaret; sisters-in-law Regina Leonard, Josephine (Harry Hayden), Shirley (Fred Miller); brother-in-law Stanley Wicks (Geraldine); nieces and nephews, and a large number of relatives and friends. WINDSOR, John (Jack) - At home in Niagara Falls on Tuesday, July 15th, 2003. Jack is survived by his wife Anne; his children Jeanette Winker, James (Patricia), Frank (Veronica), Paul and Wayne; his brothers: Kevin and Ed (Annabelle); his sister Ethel Webber; his sister-in-law Joan Windsor and his 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Maureen; his brothers: Angus, Leonard and Jimmy; his sisters: Jean and Bridget and his grandson Christopher. Jack was born in Georgetown, NL on February 22, 1919 and served with the Newfoundland Regiment during World War II. He came to Ontario 1965 and worked at Cunningham Foundry until his retirement in 1984. Friends may call at THE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 722 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (time and place to be announced). Interment Victoria Lawn cemetery . Memorial donations would be appreciated to Tender Wishes.

Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 49 years, Daphne (Udle); daughter Pam Miller (Jim, deceased), St. John`s; sons: David (Debbie), Ontario, and Wayne (Doreen), Ontario; granddaughters: Cindy (Stephen Parsons), Natalie, Ashley, Nicky, Nathalie and Brigitte; brother Donald; sisters: Catherine Tooton (Ray), Barbara Slattery (John); aunts: Helen Gomm and Jean Stevens (Bob), Ottawa; special buddy Christy; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. FOOTE, Wade Ronald - Burgeo, NL. passed away tragically in a car accident on Sunday, July 13, 2003, Wade Ronald Foote in his 21st year. He was predeceased by his grandfathers: Ronald Foote (1985), Kevin Wade (1972) and his uncle Noel Wade (1984).
