KEELS, Lawrence Joseph - Passed peacefully away at Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario on Sunday, July 28, 2002 after a short illness, age 70 years. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Violet Keels and his sister Mary. Leaving to mourn his companion Elsie Wright; brother Clement and sister-in-law Patricia, Mount Pearl, NF; nephews: Micheal (Janice), Mount Pearl, NF, Sean (Karen), Petawawa, ON, Daniel in Edmonton, AB, Timothy in Ottawa, ON and niece Mary in Mount Pearl, NF; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass is to be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Petawawa, Ontario on Friday, August 2, 2002 at 8:30 a.m.

O`RIELLY, Thomas Albert - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital on June 16, 2000 in the presence of his loving family in his 92nd year, formerly of St. Brendan`s. Predeceased by his wife Alice in 1998, sisters Catherine Whelan, 1947, Margaret Ryan, 1995 and brother Gregory, June 9, 2000. Left to celebrate his life and memories are his family: Michael (Joan), Victoria, B.C.; Leo (Betty), Baie Verte; Joan Habjan (Ciril), Smithers, B.C.; Leslie (Joan), St. John`s; William (Jacqueline), Gander; Helen Carefoot (Ed), Courtenay, B.C.; Catherine Lewis (Gerard), Mt. Pearl; Laura Gander (Chuck), Logan Lake, B.C.; Geraldine Cheater (Wade), Terrace, B.C.; Thomas (Rona), St. Anthony, NF; twenty-four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Hogan, Gander; brothers: John, Leo (May), William (Mary), Gander; sisters-in-law: Rita O`Rielly, Flatrock and Ann Connor (William) Bathurst, New Brunswick; other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, 10-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, June 19, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of the World Church, Topsail Road. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre cemetery . Beloved wife of Raymond and dear mother of Ray and his wife Marion, Gideon and his wife Avora, Dave, Gerry and his spouse Barbara Borland, Joan and her husband Glen Lavender, Renee and her husband, Barry Haskell, Eva and her husband Gary Cameron, and Grace and her husband Alan Maidment. Dear grandmother of 22 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, and her brother Aubrey. Resting at CORBETT FUNERAL HOME, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Monday (Today) from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 20, 2000 at 1:00 p.m., Major H. Survived by his wife Alice; brother Harold Shea, New York; sister Helen Fox, Ontario; 13 children: Teresa Spurway (Graham), Gus Shea (Dolores), Carm Martin (Jerome), Chris Shea (Jeanette), Judy Arsenault (Armand), Ontario, Marg Critch (Terry), Bernie Shea (Sherry), Paul Shea ( Pam), Beah Vaters (Jim), Dorothy-Ann Gauderault (Jean Francais), Ottawa, Colleen Shea-Whitty (Jed), Ginny Villegas (Fred), Winsor, Ont., Nicole Shea (Mark Lono), Ont.; 26 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visiting hours Monday 3-10 p.m.; Tuesday 12 noon to 10 p.m.; Wednesday 9-10 a.m. Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday from St. Agnes Church, Pouch Cove at 11 a.m. Interment at Pouch Cove. WARREN, Rose - Pasadena, NF, formerly of North West Brook. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mrs. Rose Warren announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, June 16th, 2000 at the age of 84 years. She will be sadly missed by her family; her sons: Elliott (Blanche) Baker, Abbotsford, B.C. and Eldon (Betty) Warren, Deer Lake; daughters: Eileen Ralph (Hubert), Corner Brook, Ruth Fifield (Ross), Elsie Murphy (Gordon), all residing at St. John`s and Marilyn Fifield (Gordon), Pasadena; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and a large number of relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Emanuel, 1985 and her stepson Oswald Warren in 1957. Visitation was held at the Pentecostal Church in Pasadena, Saturday and Sunday. The funeral service will take place Monday at 3 p.m. from the Pentecostal Church in North West Brook. The interment will take place at the family plot in North West Brook. Tributes may be made by making donations to the Gideons. The funeral service is under the direction of Wellington Funeral Home, 31 Wellington Street, Corner Brook, phone 634-9800.

DAY (HALLETT), Eda Alice (nee Baker) - It is with much sadness that Eda`s family announces her peaceful passing, in her 88th year, at Grove Park Home in Barrie on Friday, June 22, 2001. Beloved wife of the late Richard Day (1999); loving and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Tom and Joan, Edward and Sharron, Ellen and Stewart, the late Madge and Albert, Roberta and the late Bruce, and Delores and Jim. The memory of her warm smile, laughter and loving ways will also be treasured by her 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and their families. Eda was a hard-working, kind, loving and much-loved lady. Her proudest accomplishment was her family and they will always remember her, for she was the heart and soul of her family. Predeceased by her sister Myrtle in Newfoundland, she will be sadly missed by her surviving sister Belle, family and friends there as well. Words cannot adequately express our gratitude and appreciation to the exceptional staff at Grove Park Home where Eda received excellent care and kind attention for four and a half years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, her six daughters: Libby, Penny Bogumil, Jocelyn Laing (Bill) Holly Galway (Jeff), Jackie, Kim (Gary Haynes); her only son Richard; six grandchildren: Iain, Craig, Stephen, Samantha, Eric and Hannah; in-laws: Gus and Geraldine Power, Pat Power, Isabelle and Al Aucoin; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
