GUY, Harold Robert - Passed peacefully away on Saturday, July 28, 2001, at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital, after a courageous battle with Cancer, Harold Robert Guy. Aged 45 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, his loving and devoted wife Debbie (nee Cole); two precious daughters: Jessica and Kathryn; parents: Patricia and Lindbergh Guy; sisters: Dianne Beasley (Cyril) of Burin, and Jean Dibbon (Lemuel) of Burin; brother Roger (Winnie) of Mount Pearl; four nieces; one nephew; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. Sunday and Monday, and 10 a.m.-12 noon Tuesday. Funeral service to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2001 from St. Thomas` Anglican Church. Cremation to follow. No flowers by request. HALL, Mrs. Catherine E. - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare`s Hospital, St. John`s on Saturday, July 28, 2001, Mrs. Catherine E. Hall of North River, aged 74 years. Predeceased by her husband Frederick Hall in 1998; sister Bridget Myles and brother John Long. Catherine was a teacher, a mother and a nursing home employee. Her teaching career began in 1943 in Point May, followed by Bryant`s Cove, Holyrood, Bishop Falls, Hallstown, Emerald Vale and North River. In the early years of her marriage she finished her teaching career and devoted her life to raising her family. She later returned to the work force as an employee in the Cabot Nursing Home. Leaving to mourn sons: Fred Hall (Darlene LeClair), Russell, Ontario, John Hall (Nancy Howatt), Fort McMurray, Alberta, Tom (Kelly) Hall, St. John`s; daughters: Carol Ann Callahan, Burin, Bridget (Gary) Frampton, North River, Mary (Jey) Kumarasingam, North River, Michelle (Robert) Tarrant, St. Lawrence, Janice Hall (Les Brown), Edmonton, Alberta, Kimberly (Glenn) Duke, Georgetown, Ontario, Cathy Hall (Robert Starkes), St. John`s; special sister Mary Long, North River; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; nieces: Mary (Paul) Marshall, Brigus, Kay (Rex) Mercer, Cupids; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. HEARTY, Vincent D. - passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 29, 2001 Vincent D. Hearty, aged 86 years. Predeceased by brother John, 1996. KING, Paul Joseph - Formerly of Fox Harbour, Placentia Bay, resident of Toronto, ON, died peacefully at the Health Sciences Center on Sunday, July 29th, 2001. Age 57. Predeceased by his father Michael J. King, 1991. Beloved husband of Marjut King. Lovingly remembered by son Gregory; daughter Kristen; mother Rita King; sisters: Doll Kelly (Bob), Tish Coxon, Cece O`Reilly (Joe); brothers: Harry (Heather), Fred (Peggy); father-in-law Ronald Paarmets; mother-in-law Irja Paarmets; sister-in-law Anne Dowdall (Harley); brother-in-law John Paarmets; a large number of nieces and nephews, all residing in Toronto plus numerous relatives and friends in Newfoundland and Toronto. LUDLOW, Louise - Louise Ludlow, formerly of Rodger`s Cove, Gander Bay, passed away in Edmonton, Alberta on June 10, 2003 at the age of 91 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Sadie of Fort McMurray and Eileen (Ed) of Edmonton; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; brothers: Lester and Lewis (Margaret) and sister Violet; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Chesley and son John in 1964; son Ben and daughter Kathleen in 1997; and grandchildren: Mary Ludlow, Debbie Hillier and Freddy Bird. A memorial service will be held August 10th, 2003 from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Wings Point, Gander Bay with interment of ashes at the Victoria Cove cemetery also in Gander Bay. Slipped quietly into the arms of Jesus, in the presence of her loving family at St. Clares Mercy Hospital on July 28, 2001, one month before her 87th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Pat in 1996; brother Frank; sisters: Margaret, Mary and Helen. Leaving to cherish her memories, devoted daughter who loved and looked after her in her own home in Pouch Cove, Rosemarie, husband Gerry Meehan, their two children: Joshua (Nanny`s little man) and Vanessa; loving daughter Sheila, husband Eddie Batten, their two children: Corey and Scott, St. John`s; her only son Paddy, the light of her life, his wife Shirley, who could always make her smile, and their two children: Raymond, friend Corrinne and Steven, friend Jeanette; sisters-in-law: Alice Rowe, St. John`s, Loretta Finn, Margaret Schlosser, Anne Barrett, Nora Barrett (Bernard), Veronica Murphy, all in the U.S.A.
