PEDDLE, Alice (Stokes) - passed away on Monday, April 9th, 2001 after a lengthy illness, Alice (Stokes) Peddle, in her 77th year. Predeceased by her first husband Albert Stokes. Leaving to mourn her husband Joe; daughters: Shelly Stokes (Jody), Valarie Pike (Paul), Heather Stokes (Art), Deana Stokes-Sullivan (Eugene); grandchildren: Roslyn, Matthew, Alyssa and Alex; sisters: Queenie Tucker, Blanche Morgan and Janet Strickland; and other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 7-9 p.m. Monday; 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday; and from 10 am. - 12 noon Wednesday. Funeral Service 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11th, 2001 from Barrett`s Chapel. Interment at Mount Pleasant cemetery . Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer`s Society.

MOORE, Thomas - Passed peacefully away at his residence on July 26, 2001 at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by his brother Dave. Leaving to mourn his close friend Violet Pippy, five sisters Winnie, Louise (Stewart), Margaret, Trudy (John), Marie (Geoff), five brothers, Frank (Noreen), Mike (Mary), Ronnie, Leonard, Eli (Helen), also many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. At Thomas` request, cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at Chapel Green Great Codroy cemetery at a later date.

Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 55 years, Florence; daughters: Blanche Elliott (Graham), Ada Pardy (Edward); sons: Gordon (June), Wayne and Tom; 11 grandchildren: Roxanne King (Gordon), Timothy and Michael Pardy, Jacqueline Dove (Randy), Paula Ryan (Ken), Nancy, Christopher, Gregory, Danielle, Desmond and Paul Pike; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mabel Banfield (Lewis), Ada Douglas, Ivy ThiBeault; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Resting at St. Hilda`s Anglican Church in Bay L`Argent. Funeral date to be named later. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to St. Hilda`s Church in Bay L`Argent. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Holloway`s Funeral Home, Whitbourne.

Leaving to mourn beloved wife Ruby (Bonnell of Lamaline); son Cecil; daughter Marilyn Bruce (Gus); his only sister Gladys Bell of Vancouver; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special nephew Heber Bonnell; as well as other nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday, and 10 a.m.-12 noon Monday. Funeral service to be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2001 from the Salvation Army Temple, Torbay Road. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army cemetery , Blackmarsh Road. No flowers by request. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Salvation Army Temple Band or the Glenbrook Lodge.

Predeceased by mother and father John and Catherine Kearney; sisters: Mary Puddicome, Eileen Halleran, Alice West and Kathleen Wise. Left to mourn with precious memories loving wife Doris (nee Earles); sisters: Madeline Handrigan, Vivian Gosse and Margaret Snelgrove (husband Ronald); sisters-in-law: Barbara Dawe (husband Leonard), Teresita Nolan (friend Harry), Frances Earles, Lillian Dunne (husband Thomas); also a number of nephews, nieces and friends. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m.- 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 17th, 2000 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick`s Church, Patrick Street. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.

GRACE, Margaret (Margie) - 6742 Gulfport Blvd. S. 114, St. Petersburg, Florida 33707-3846. The many friends of Margie Grace both in St. John`s and Corner Brook will be saddened to hear of her passing on August 14, 1999. She was the Rental Manager at the Friendly Native Beach Resort for fourteen years and retired in 1991. It was there that she met and made many friends from Newfoundland. She is survived by her husband Virgil, a son William and a daughter Vickie.

Predeceased by parents, George and Ida Lillian (Pike) Forward and brother Cyril Forward. Leaving to mourn cousins: Luetta Yates, St. John`s, Edward (Beverly) Forward, Brigus and Clifford (Joan) Forward, Clarenville; also a number of other cousins, relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL`S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 11. Funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church and cemetery , Carbonear. Pearl, Kelly (John Griffin), Halifax, Cindy (special friend Keith Emberley), St. John`s; her sister Kay Lyver (Frank), St. John`s; her brothers: Mike (Lorraine), Dunville, Ron (Myrtle), Springdale; her sisters-in-law: Margaret Christopher and Marion Corcoran; her brothers-in-law: John (Mary) Power, Allan (Patsy) Power, Kenneth (Jackie) Power and Tom Power; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, Admiral`s Beach. Funeral will take place on Friday, June 16th, following 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews. Visitation on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Wednesday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral to take place on Thursday, April 12th at 2 p.m. at All Saints Church, Foxtrap. Interment at the Anglican cemetery , Dunne`s Hill, Foxtrap.
