Costello, Jeremy David; passed away suddenly but peacefully at his residence on Friday, July 23, 2004, Jeremy Costello in his 22nd year. Predeceased by his mother Grace (nee Harris) in 1990, father David in 2004, grandfathers John Harris in 1993 and Donald Costello in 1998. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his brother Joshua, grandmothers Gladys Costello and Grace Harris, aunts : Eleanor Fitzpatrick (Gerry), Edna Kenny, Karen Noftle (Carl), Mary Squires (Glenn) and B-Ann Leger (Rob), uncles : Bill Harris (Patricia), John Harris (Darlene), Gerry Harris (Debbie), Noel Harris and Bryan Harris (Lori); great-aunt Doris Grahn, Boston; his loving caregivers William and Kay Dinn and family, Goulds, many cousins, other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday from 7-9 p.m., Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 10 a.m. from St. Kevin’s Parish, Goulds, with interment to follow at The Anglican cemetery , Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Vera Perlin Society. “Heaven now has another special angel”

Barrington, Rudolph
BARRINGTON, Rudolph D. — Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on July 27, 2004, Rudolph Barrington, age 83 years. Member of the 166th Newfoundland Field Regiment, R.A. and Legion Branch 56. Predeceased by his wife Frances (Hobbs), 1996. Left with fond and loving memories two sons: Tolson (Charlotte) and Wayne (Valerie); two brothers: Bryan, Buchans and Howard (Ruby), Black River; six grandchildren: Jane, Peter, Anne, Phillip, Elizabeth (Alex Mathieson) and Reid and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Thomas' Anglican Church. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery , Field of Honor. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or a charity of one's choice.

BISHOP, Eric Gordon Alexander “Butch” – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on Friday, July 9, 2004, Eric “Butch” Bishop of St. John’s aged 63 years. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Mabel Bishop of St. John’s formerly of Greenspond. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 39 years, Doris (nee Simmons); precious daughter: Sherry Reynolds and son-in-law Rodney residing in Toronto; brother Harvey (Frances); brothers-in-law Walter Simmons (Maisie) and Dr. James Simmons (Lorraine); sisters-in-law Ruby Rowe and Nellie Whelan (Vernon); Aunt Louise Bishop, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, July 12, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican cemetery , Kenmount Road. Haynes, David McLean : passed away suddenly at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, July 11, 2004, David Haynes, aged 49 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Ann, sons Matthew and Andrew, other relatives and friends. At David’s request cremation has taken place. The Family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, July 12, 2004 from 5 – 7p.m. Private family services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

BRADY, Willis, Woldridge: (retired Jeweler – W.W. Brady of Duckworth)- passed away in the presence of his family at Chancellor Park on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, W.W. Brady aged 93 years. Predeceased by his wife Zena in 1977. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Heather Zitner; granddaughters: Miriam, Elaine and Hannah; niece Janet Flemming (Robert) and family; special friend Evelyn Dawe; other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, July 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery . Predeceased by his wife Vera (1982) and brothers Walter (1977) and John (1970). Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories his three children Heather (Steve), Calgary; Glen (Beverly), Paradise; Karen (Albert), St. John's; brother Cec (Jean) St. John's; sisters-in-law Dora, Kelligrews; Nora (Douglas), Fogo; brother-in-law Abel (Marjorie), Fogo; beloved grandchildren Colin 'The Captain'; Lesley 'The Doll' (Tim); Jordan, step-grandchildren Timothy, Simon, Zachary, Jacob; special friends Eric and Ruth Hawkins, Blanche Green, Leslie Green, Delores Worthman and Wimpy and Mardi O'Grady, NS; and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-10 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Augustine's Anglican Church. EARLE, Elna Tennant - Passed peacefully away at her home following a short illness, Elna Tennant Earle, 82, wife of the late Canon George Earle. She was surrounded at the end by her daughters Alison and Christine, son Peter and daughter-in-law Jytte. The courage and dignity she showed in facing death will never be forgotten by those who witnessed it. The family will hold a private interment ceremony, to be followed at a later date by a gathering of friends to celebrate the long life of this wonderful person. Predeceased by her children Glynis, John, Bernard and Ruth, husband Augustus Oliver. Leaving to mourn her children Iris Williams (Russell) of Torbay, Tina Pawley of ON; Eric, with whom she resided; Helen Haines of St. John's; Walter (Barbara) of Portugal Cove; special nephew Howe Oliver of St. John's; grandchildren Wanda, Cathy, Terry, Kimberly, Scott, Chrystal, Bradley, Adam, David, Michael, Donny, Laurie, Nicki and Francis; and seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters Marjorie Squires, Clementine McRoberts, Sadie Rose and Phoebe Harding; also, a large circle of other relatives & friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Sunday from St. Philips Anglican Church at 2 p.m. with inurnment to follow at the Anglican cemetery , St. Philips. MAYNARD, Edward – passed away suddenly on Friday, July 16, 2004. Left with fond and loving memories, his cherished daughters Amanda, Colleen and Monique, and their mother Marlen. OLIVER, Annie Theresa – passed away peacefully but suddenly at her home on Tuesday, July 13, 2004, Annie Theresa Oliver aged 87 years. Predeceased by her husband John 1981; son John Jr., 1991; two infant sons Leo and Raymond; and son-in-law William Hanlon. Leaving to mourn and cherish her memory are her children: Dan (Jean), Bill (Betty), Jim (Margaret), Mary Hanlon, Raymond (Gertie), Kevin (Janyce), Ron (Susan), Lewis (Lillian), Andrea Rioux (Don), Gary, Karl (Bev) and Eugene; daughter-in-law Mary Oliver-Earles; 32 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and one geat-great-gandchild; sister Jessie Kavanagh; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, special friends Laura and Shannon Murrin. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10-12, 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Theresa’s Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery . Seymour, James L.; Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, James L. Seymour aged 80 years. Predeceased by his wife Beatrix and brother Cecil. Leaving to celebrate his life are his children Judy Courage (Robert), John Seymour, Flora Seymour and Sue Manuel (Brad); beloved grandchildren Allison and Stephanie Courage, Ben Manuel; sister Millicent Mifflin (Arthur); sister-in-law Daisy Seymour; nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of 3 south of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for the loving care given during the past seven months. At James’ request cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors for a celebration of his life on Saturday, July 17, 2004 from 3p.m. – 8 p.m. at the residence of Judy and Robert, 79 Elizabeth Drive, Paradise. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

White, Chesley
WHITE, Chesley – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 after a long illness, Chesley White age 79 years. Predeceased by his grandson Jefferson (2002). Leaving to mourn his wife of 57 years Sarah (nee Stanley); sons: Randy (Regina) Ferryland; Robert (Carol) St. John’s; daughters: Barbara, St. John’s, Carolyn (Don) Driscoll, Kelligrews, Judy (Barry Remington) White Pickering, ON; sister Jean Healey, St. John’s; brothers Charlie (Marie) White, Corner Brook, Frank (Bonnie) Saunders, Dayton, Ohio; also five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. At Chesley’s request cremation has taken place. Private Interment at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Carnell’s Funeral Home.
