DAVIS, Mary E. (Nee Norris) — Retired Laboratory Technologist. passed away suddenly at her residence on Tuesday, October 19, 2004, Mary Davis, aged 56 years. Predeceased by her parents William and Florence Norris. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving daughter: JoAnna; sisters: Gail (Terry) Ryan and Dena (David) Orr; special nephews and niece: Terry Ryan Jr., Stephen Orr; and Christine Orr; also uncles: Harry, Leslie and Cyril Norris and aunt Jean Meger. A large number of other relatives and special friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 pm 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Friday from The Church of the Ascension, Mt. Pearl at 2 pm, with cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Keough, John
KEOUGH, John Michael- Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004 at the palliative care unit at the L.A. Miller Centre, John Michael Keough, age 44 years. Predeceased by his brother Derek in 1979 and father John Keough in 1983. Leaving to mourn his sad loss mother Helen (nee Power), sisters Nicole (Jacques DeSousa) of New York, N.Y., Dr. Tammy (Kurt Ryan) of Halifax, N.S., brothers Randy of Clawson, MI, Craig of Quebec, Todd (Ngoc) of New Zealand, nephews Devon, Derek and Brendhan, aunts, uncles and cousins across Canada and the U.S. Also a large number of friends. Long time close friend Toby Rabinowitz, and special friends Dale and Eric Rendell. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. Visitation from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted.

Stockley, Sarah
GREEN STOCKLEY, Sarah L. — passed away at the Glenbrook Lodge on Tuesday, October 12, 2004, Sarah Green Stockley (nee Senior), aged 85 years. Predeceased by her first husband: Walter Green and second husband: Fred Stockley; brother: Roy Senior and sister: Pearl Paddle. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son: James (Muriel) and daughter: Agnes Budgell (Tom) beloved grandchildren: Peter and Jeff (Terri) Green, Jason (Danielle) and James (Lisa) Budgell; cherished great-grandchildren; Alexandra and Laura Green; sister-in-law: Stella Senior and brother-in-law: Cecil Paddle; members of the Stockley family; other relatives and many friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army West Citadel with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery. Noseworthy, Andrew
NOSEWORTHY, Andrew Lloyd- Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, age 84. Predeceased by his wife Daphne (Pelley), daughter Doreen Gregory, grandson Billy Spurrell, and a very special companion, Betty Butler. Also predeceased by his parents, Edward and Wilhelmena of Pouch Cove, sisters Joyce Thistle, Lillian Moores, Muriel Baldwin, brothers Wilson and Malcolm Noseworthy. Survived by his family, whom he loved and adored: daughters Florence Spurrell (Bill) and Joyce Beckett (Bernie), sons David (Olive) and Robert (Barbara), grandchildren Diane Gushue (Pat), Chris Beckett (Tanya), Brad Beckett (Elizabeth), Jeff Beckett (Sarah), Shawn, Tara, and Diana Noseworthy; great-grandchildren Victoria, Angela, Emily and Mackenzie. He will also be remembered by his many relatives and close family friends, as well as those at Kelly's Brook Apartments and his Avalon Mall 'Buddies'. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. Visitation Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004 from 10 a.m.-12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004 at 2 p.m. from George Street United Church. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the George Street United Church Memorial Fund. MAHON, James Wendall — (1929-2004) Passed peacefully away on August 26, 2004 at the Health Sciences Jim Mahon. Only son of the late Harry Wendall and Marion Reid Smith of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Left with enduring memories, wife Ruth Russell; sons: Paul, Matthew (Julie), Calgary, Andrew (Joanne) and daughter Erica (Peter), Vancouver; sister Elizabeth Cavanaugh, Brantford; nephew David, Calgary and nieces: Marion, Brantford and Barbara, Guelph; eight grandchildren: Tyler, Brittany, Sasha, Noelle, Natalie, Colin, Hazen and a newborn granddaughter; brothers and sisters-in-law Roy and June Russell; nephew Hazen and niece Janet, Paul and Pat Russell; and other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 28th, 2004 at Carnells Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 10-12 noon, 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. James United on Monday, August 30 at 2:30 p.m. No flowers at the request of the family, but donations in Jim's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or a charity of your choice.

COOMBS, Lester (Gandhi) – Passed peacefully away at his residence on Sunday, May 23, 2004, Lester Coombs, aged 85 years. Predeceased by parents George and Mary, brothers Donald and Herbert and sister Blanche Chafe. Leaving to mourn his wife of 52 years, Audrey (nee Bonner); two daughters, Allynne Jones (Dr. Gordon) of Palm Coast, FL., Karen Brown (Bert Scheepers) of Russell, ON.; one son, Eric (Marie Walsh); one granddaughter; six grandsons, also other relatives and a large circle of friends, especially Lloyd and Patsy Chafe. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at 2 p.m. from Cochrane Street United Church with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery. KEATS, Richard (Dick) — Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on Tuesday, August 24, 2004, Richard (Dick) Keats of Labrador City, formerly of Port Blanford, aged 55 years. Predeceased by his first wife Vera (nee Langer) and his parents Thomas and Fannie Keats. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Jeff (Gail) and Rikee Drover (Roger), Natasha (Clint Nash), Quinton and their mother Nada Colbourne; beloved grandchildren: Caroline Keats, Christian and Jamie Drover and David Nash-Keats; also leaving to mourn his brother Jethro; other family members and friends especially his longtime co-workers at QNS&L; Railway. At Dicks' request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at St. Aiden's Anglican Church, Port Blanford on Thursday evening. Funeral service will take place on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Aiden's Anglican Church with interment to follow at the Anglican cemetery, Port Blanford. RANDELL, Virtue (Guy) – It is with deep regret that we announce the peaceful passing of a dear mother, grandmother, sister and aunt on Monday, May 24, 2004, at the Health Sciences Complex in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her husband James in 1993. Left with fond and loving memories are her children: son Wayne (Gwen); daughters Doreen (Bob), Norma (Lloyd); her precious grandchildren: Amanda, Alanna, Jillian, Stephanie and Bobby. Also left to mourn are her sister Mae Wiseman, her brother Harold Guy and special friend Margaret Pike, as well as many other relatives and friends.
